Long, long ago demons ruled the world with iron fists, each animal based creature controling magic and amazing strength to subdue humans into sniviling creatures scraping and bowing at the mere sight of a demon. At first demons were few and had to use every ounce of their great strength to control their servants, but now they`ve multipled. The greatest of the great demon lords and ladys have begun the grand tradition of Oni Academy. A training hall for their childern to grow and develop their skills until they were ready to control an empire.

The teachers are demons themselves in every sense of the word. The Oni trainging hall was set up rather simply with five years of training and only five classes. Each year increased the diffculty of the class until the children that entered the school left as killer adults.

Class One: Jyaki and Spirtial Powers
Class Two: Demon History and War
Class Three: Human Studies and Cotnrol
Class Four: Physical and Weapons Training
Class Five: Specilaized True Form Training

Each demon was born from the heart of corruption and given a humaniod shape with animalistic quialities. At first their human like shape could be a mistake to think they were human in some form or fashion, but when angered to the point of no return the animal they most took after would reveal itself in the form of a large beast.

This is the danger of Oni Academy and the so called students that stay and learn there. Do you dear attend?

No real rules except no god moding and try to make your posts a nice size. Your charcter cna be anything from a student to a teacher to a human.

Like most days in the norhtern mountains the weather was harsh and cold. The scent of snow was heavy on the air and the soft roll of thunder rumbled in the distance. Hidden in the dangeruos hills rested a massive building set right into the powerful stone. It looked like a fort, fully equiped with a guarding wall surrounding it, servant`s quarters, barracks, stables, and a main building. The ground floor was empty int eh early dawn with a fresh layer a frost developing along the rough brown grass ground.

The main building itself was not much warmer than the outside with only a few warmed rooms for any reptilian type demons staying at the school. Across the main doorway in the ancient demon text where the omnimus words Oni Academy.

A soft sigh escaped slightly parted lips as eyes as cool and blue as a cool winter morning starred out at the rising dawn. "Another boring day," the boy sighed as he leapt off his window still and out of his bearly warmed room. The halls were as freezing as normal but the boy didn`t even shiver. His feet were compeltely bare, a sign of lower status than most in the school. He had long white hair as smooth as silk that reached his knees and almost completely covered the white fluff of a tail stretching from the base of his spine.

He was dressed simply in a white tunic and white pants. His clothing revealed everything about him to his fellow students. The white revealed him as an artic animal based demon while the three stripes on his collar showed him to be a third year studant. He wore a practice sword at his side showing his weapon of choice and the light almost unnoticable silver stitching on his right shoulder was in the sign of a circle a sign of him being a very weak magic user.

the two long white ears sticking from his head was the last sign to all that saw him. This was Cloud Wolfbane the White Wolf Demon

Glimmering icy blue eyes with cat slit pupils peered around a corner, looking at Cloud. Thick, perfectly curling black hair that fell to her waist nearly hid her rounded jaguar ears, and her eyes gave away nothing as she studied him. Her tail curled about her feet as she tried to keep her balance, soft slippers not giving very good traction on the freezing stone floors. Her clothes were a rich green, showing her natural home that of the tropical jungles, with three stripes similar to Cloud's own on the collar. The 'circle' on her right shoulder was intricately woven, twining about with the faintest hint of something Celtic, showing her own concentration to be almost strictly magic. She did not carry a practice weapon, mostly because her weapon of choice was the spear. The pet of most of the teachers, with a charm that few could resist, Deleyla (Deh-ley-la) Starkz was the granddaughter of a rather famous demon, and seemed to have gotten many of his gifts.

Her slippers at last lost their traction fully, and she tumbled around the corner, catching herself only just, and giving Cloud a smile to make a succubus go into heat.

Cloud's ears swirled around before he did. His eyes widened slightly in surprise before he caught sight of the demoness before him. He glanced over her clothing carefully looking for all the trace signs. Rank, weapon, Species, and age could all be determined by glances at certain parts of the uniform but status was sometimes a bit more subtle. jewelry and silken clothing instead of harsh cotton or wool were a good indicator, as well as proper foot were and the mere stance of the demon. It was always good to no the status of the demon to know how to talk around them, how to preform the careful waltz of politics that could make or break a family.

The demoness before him was hard to tell but she was wearing comfortable slippers and her tunic looked expensive enough, also she looked vaguely familiar and the circle on her shoulder was warning enough. Magicians could be tricky. He gave her a short stiff bow, never taking his eyes off her own. "Hello," he greeted carefully his eyes narrowing imperceptibly. "Can I help you with something," he asked, watching her smile. Yes, this one looked very familiar. The steps to this waltz would have to be done to the fast tempo of the violin, her next words would be the lead.

(Sorry if this is weird or bad I haven't rpied in 6 months.)

"Are you Cloud Wolfbane?" she asked, voice a smooth and sultry alto that any jazz singer would kill for, the faintest hint of a German accent coming through and lilting her words into elegant rhythms. "Calam," the weapons master, and the girl had to be either stupid or powerful to risk calling him by only his name and not adding 'master' to it, "said I was supposed to find you." At her feet, Deyleyla's tail flicked playfully, and her eyes held trickery, yes, but of a fae kind, one far kinder and gentler than the typical demonic pranks.

Having spent each summer with her grandfather, she had learned a trick or two about how to behave herself socially, and when to say her lineage and not. Today, looking at Cloud, she thought she might just because it was all fun and games to her, and besides, he was kind of cute, in a very pale sort of way. Fickleness, a trait that ran in the family, was something that she could afford, being strong enough to fix her own mistakes.

"I'm Deleyla. Deleyla Starkz," she added, her icy eyes half-closed, watching him carefully. "Maybe you've heard of my grandfather, Kraelius Starkz?" A name that most demons would shudder to hear, or look longingly at her for. His children weren't pushovers either, but it was well known that the brutal and cruel dragon-form demon looked after his family---and to those who knew of him well, Deleyla had become something of his star pupil.

"And what does Master Calam what with me Lady Starkz," Cloud question as he searched her over once more. His gaze was as cold as his breed, but even he could not stop his clawed hand from wandering to the wooden sword on his belt. For a wooden sword it was well carved of strong, almost white, asp. The way he gently ran the tips of his fingers over the smooth wood it was rather clear that the sword, practice or otherwise, probably wasn't his.

His eyes widened and he jerked his hand back and behind his back and the name of her grandfather. Despite the distance between their countries Cloud most certainly knew of her grandfather and even more he knew that his father was constantly harassing Kraelius's kingdom and causing trouble. Cloud could only hope that Raven Wolfbane's name had yet leaked.

"Well, really, he just wanted me to come find you." Noticing how he touched the sword, she added, "You've got a very nice sword. Did you carve it yourself?" She drew slightly closer to him, and there was the faintest scent of lilies and roses about her, a sweet scent that was almost lulling.

"And I guess you do know my grandfather? He's going to be visiting soon--he wants to see how the weapons training is going. Calam wants you to fight, because your the best with a sword in the class, and everyone wants to impress grandfather." She smiled again, half-wistfully, and while the paranoia that the Academy could breed would keep most from guessing, it was becoming more and more clear that despite both her lineage and fickle behaviour, she was far kinder and sweeter than most here, and it was mostly her name and acting that had kept her from being found out.

"I will go see him them," he answered after a moments thought. "Thank you, but no I did not carve it," he responded vaguely.

"You're grandfather's visiting?" he remarked in honest surprise. His eyes widened and his tail twitched noticeably. "No I don't think Master Calam will let me fight, I could be better than him but a son of a demon peasant will always be over looked for the son of a demon lord or Knight." It was an unwritten rule of Oni academy that higher caste citizens like the Demon Lords were given special treatments that no other had as well as demon Knights that had better rooms and food. The demon peasants were lucky if they were even invited to the school. Amongst the caste only the humans were lower than the peasants. Of course his skills could have possibly given him a chance to fight before the mighty lord if he had not stolen the sword at his side. IT was only to practice for a bit before returning it, but Master Calam would never see it so innocently.

Deleyla frowned, and her fickleness had determined that it rather liked Cloud, at least for today--she was something of a heartbreaker because of it, if one could consider demons having hearts. "Do you want to fight?" she asked, and it was clear that he didn't even have to say the word before she would go to Calam and make it clear that Cloud was to fight before her grandfather.

She was not even a full two feet away now, and her tail flicked angrily. "And he told me that you were to fight. If he was lying to me, then I'll beat up the old fool myself. I think you should fight," she added fiercely. "I've seen you before, and you're very good."

For the first time since he had arrived at the academy Cloud grinned. It was a roguish, predatory grin that revealed his sharp fangs. If he did not bare his tail and ears his smirk alone would reveal his inner wolf. "I would like to fight and I`m sure if the master gave his word then it is already set," he responded as his tail flicked so quickly it was nearly wagging even though he knew it was probably best to avoid her grandfather. Those his father and him looked very different any proper warrior would have to be blind to not notice their mirrored fighting styles. Even Master Calam during the first year when he swore not to use anyone's name could not help but shouting out Wolfbane whenever he fought.

Deleyla nodded firmly, pleased. "Of course," she said. This time, her smile was far more relaxed and revealing than all of her other ones. There was a bit of excitement to her eyes now--she was good at fighting, of course, she was trained rigorously, but magic was her calling and always would be. "Do you want to go down to the little glen and practice? I'll come with you, so that no one can yell at you.

"And I'm sure that grandfather's going to like you. He always has an eye out for good fighters. You know he gets to pick which ones he likes best from the Academy to train with him after they get done? Always the ones who aren't inheriting kingdoms and such, but all the same. Maybe you'll be good enough that he'll be interested."

Cloud nodded and followed after her as he considered her suggestion. "I don't think I would ever train to be one of his warriors. After school I am to return home and help my father and brothers at home," he remarked with a shrug. Inwardly he could not help but add, 'Yeah and my dad fancies if he can gather enough forces he can get rid of your old grandfather and take over his lands. I`m training to be his assassin by the way, I have a dagger to slit his throat strapped to my calf.'

"Really? That's a shame." Deleyla stopped at her room, dashing inside to grab a cloak made of the pelt of a white tiger before leading the way outside--she still wasn't used to the winters here. She didn't mention that when she graduated, she'd be the one inheriting her grandfather's lands--the news had come and gone, and so she thought everyone at the Academy knew by now. Krael might be intending to hand the reigns over in two more years, but it was mostly so he could make sure his star pupil had what it took to actually rule.

Outside, her footsteps were sure, and her facade had returned once more as a few demons who saw her were quite intent on trying to gain some favour with her. What warmth Cloud had seen vanished, and here her resemblance to her grandfather was striking. Those blue eyes made those who approached her wilt, and her words cut the air like a whip, making any in earshot flinch. It was a voice made to command, and the only thing seperating it from ruling were a few paltry years.
