She had slept only a few hours, and while the first few days it showed, but now her worn appearence had become natural, as if she never slept that long in her entire life. It was more the paranoia of being unable to protect her cub that left her so awake, and after only a few hours of sleep she tended to grow on alert.
This time, however, they had discovered quite a safe area, and she knew the two would be protected. So, she decided to get a better view of the new lands she found, moreso to understand what dangers might occure as well as to get that intoxicating scent of the winds for just a few more minutes.
Padding down towards the beach, she let her paws sink in as the sands encased the light green, and just smiled as she raised her maw, truly relaxed for the first time in months with the wind around her. It was soft, silent, peaceful, and safe, and that was all she could ever ask for in the lands around her.

The green lioness padded along, wondering at the effect the seaside seemed to have on her. She almost felt herself wincing inside as she contemplated this change that had occured so subtley within her. It was to be expected, of course. She was only just adapting to a life on not moving on, of seeing the same things every day, and she could still feel a slight curling in her stomach whenever she thought of truly settling down. Never before in her life had she imagined she would ever do so. And then she had met Juke, and her whole perspective had been turned upside down. She had wanted to find a suitable pride to join, as he did, and suddenly, she felt a pit in her stomach of knowing just how devastating it would be for her if she were to ever lose track of the steely blue lion she had spent the past weeks with travelling.
She wandered on aimlessly, suddenly brought down by the mere thought of ever having to live without Juke nearby. She stared down at her paws as she walked, simply because nothing else could hold her interest in the presence of her deep thoughts, and she wondered too how this day would turn out.

For once, Palesa was unable to hear the other come near, for the sands did well to hide the sounds of pawsteps. Instead, she continued to gaze out with her soft brown eyes onto the ocean, smile lingering as the sea current soothed her muscles and relaxed her mind.
Yet, soon enough she caught the movement, and turned slowly to look at where Muujiza padded near, blinking a moment as if in delusion. It was unnatural to see another female with the green pelt. However, Palesa could tell the female wasn't related to her, the shades were just too different.
And so a new question arised, just who was she? Palesa waited for the female to get closer before thinking on calling out, watching silently with apprehensation.

Whether it was by chance or by pure instinct, Muujiza looked up from watching her paws sink into the sand, and noticed suddenly the pale green lioness who stood in front of her. The lioness's mind began to spin. So much green she had seen lately. She remembered the first time she had spotted another lion who bore green in his coat. Nyack. She remembered him well, him and his curious tail. And then she had met Shimah the very first day she and Juke and arrived in these seaside lands. And now this lion. Her pelt was far lighter than Muujiza's, this was true, but the stark greenness of it was enough to confuse her, even by a little.
She stopped dead in her tracks, a forepaw lifted in mid-stride, blinking her pale yellow eyes. The stood staring for a moment, before resuming her walk. Who was she? Presumably, she was one of the pride that lived near the sea, although she could never be sure. Meeting Shimah had proved her wrong enough, and she was curious to know and find out who this lioness in front of her was.

When their gazes locked, Palesa made no move at all, save for the gentle rise and fall of her chest that echoed the wave's pace. Both studied eachother silently, or so Palesa felt, before the other female continued her steps. Letting out a deep sigh, the lighter female settled on her haunces in a relaxed pose, hopefully not showing any sort of threat.
As Muujiza got closer, Palesa finally decided to place a smile on her maw, erasing the confused and curious gaze for a warmer one, and she spoke out in a greeting.
"Hello there, I never quite expected to see such a vibrant green on a fellow lioness...but I do not believe my eyes decieve me this day..." Her breezy breath chucked at that and her smile grew.

The green lioness returned the other's smile with her own, accompanied by a gentle nod, although as she walked, her head nodded to the rhythm of her steps unconciously. "Hello," Muujiza felt herself chuckle in agreement to the lighter lioness's words. "Yes, and here was I, thinking I would not see another green lioness so soon." She thought of meeting Shimah, the lioness whose coat was as dark and bright a green as her own. Shimah had not been one of the pride, and now that words had been exchanged between herself and the lioness before her, she felt a stronger need to know whether or not she was one of the seaside pride's lionesses. It was a strange thing to need to know, Muujiza knew, but like the rest of her thoughts, she could hardly control this need.

Staying silent with her soft smile, she just relished in the idea that they were kindred spirits, if only by pelts. After a few moments, she blinked her soft brown eyes and shook her head.
"My name is Palesa, it is a pleasure to meet you," She said softly, though her voice showed a bit of hesitation from her inexperience at meeting new people. And suddenly, as if feeling the need to explain herself, she quickly added on a bit more of an explanation, "My family and I just traveled to these lands, quite actually, it is my first day here by the sea..." Eyes trailing out to the blue liquid, she trailed off once again into a silence.

"I'm Muujiza," She said with a polite nod that clearly said she was so very pleased to meet the other lioness. "Oh, now is it?" She felt her ears perk. "I only just arrived not too long ago with my Juke," She nodded with a smile. "We met in the roguelands and then parted ways, and somehow or another we metup a second time. It's not very common when you wander the savannah, and we decided to go to a pride together and settle down. I have to admit, it wasn't my first choice of lifestyle, but at least I've got Juke." Subconciously, her smile widened, and it was only when she realized she was more grining now than smiling that the thought that it might have been because of the thought of the teal blue lion that brought the grin to her face slip into her mind.

Watching silently at the reactions of the other lioness, Palesa let a small smile cross her own maw. It was clear to her from the way the other lioness spoke, there was something between her and this Juke. Palesa would guess it to be akin to love, but even than she wasn't that daring to assume when she only met the female. So instead, she just silently warmed and congratulated the female for finding her one.
"I understand how you feel, I've always been one to follow the winds, and even when I did settle, they still summon me away...but here...all they do is call to me. The sea pulls the winds in and takes my breath away...it's beautiful..." Her wispy breath caught as another breeze fluttered through her pelt, she closed her eyes to take it all in once again.
