MoMo was through. He was done with all of Gwee's crap, the abuse, the torture the horrible and dreadful experiences. He couldn't tolerate it any longer, it was time to eliminate the problem. It was time for the cursed dragon to be slain. This is why MoMo had the most brilliant plan, or at least, he thought he did. Using various pieces of nature he found in the woods, he built a tiny little trap that could capture Gwee, or at least, as good as it could hold a dragon considering a ferret is the one that had built it.
The trap was simple really, a vine stretched across the forest path, lightly buried under a thin pile of dirt and leaves. Once it is applied pressure to, the trap with detonate, pulling on the tree branches above. The heavy branches would fall down onto Gwee, pinning her down. Gwee was strong, so she would be able to get out of it, but MoMo had his own plan. He stole a knife from a two-legger, the one who calls herself 'Nashota'. MoMo will grab the knife in his mouth and stab Gwee in the neck with it, ending the life of the dragon.
The reign of torture will be over, and MoMo will be the one responsible. He will be the one to take the credit, be proud of what he has done. Sure, it was murder, but it was neccesarry. Gwee was a force that needed to be stopped for everybody's sake. It is only a matter of minutes before Gwee will arrive to the trap, just as MoMo had asked Gwee to. MoMo waited in excitement. Alas, he will be liberated and the dragon will be slain.

Gwee walked along the narrow path through the forest, rolling her eyes as she had walked. MoMo insisted that she meet him here, refusing to tell her why. If it was such an emergency, couldn't MoMo just tell her at the first moment? Annoyed and frustarated at the ferret, Gwee continued walking along the dirt path. Oh, he will pay for this if its something stupid. He will pay.
Gwee spotted the ferret, looking at her with excitement in his eyes. Along the path was a line covered in leaves and dirt, a slight bump on the path. Behind MoMo, something shined in the sunlight behind her. MoMo was up to something, and Gwee didn't have the patience to find out.
"MoMo, what the hell is going on?" asked Gwee, now completely frusturated. She looked down at the 'bump' and then examined the area, giving more focus. There was a vine that hung up from a tree, tied unnaturally to the branches above the leaves. Gwee focused her eyesight on the glimmering object behind MoMo and smirked. It was a two-legger weapon. "Now, MoMo, you aren't really going to try and kill me now, are you?"
Gwee leaned in on the ferret, stepping over the foolish creature's trap. "To be honest, it is the lamest attempt of a trap I've yet to see. It's a shame MoMo, I thought you were smarter than that. I guess I was wrong about you all this time. And do you know what that means, MoMo?" asked Gwee, leaning in closer to the ferret, more intimidating. "Now I'm going to have to kill you."

Crap. thought MoMo. MoMo took a step back cautiously, giving a light nervous laughter. MoMo could tell when Gwee was kidding; this time, Gwee was serious. Why is she hesitating? Wait. If she is hesitating, why am I just standing here and not running? MoMo turned around and sprinted away from the dragon, jumping between two trees and then running along the path as if his life depended on it. No, his life did depend on it. MoMo let out a scream for help as he ran, he was not that far from the Kawani village, or at least not far from Nashota's teepee. Hopefully Nashota would be able to protect him, after all she has the...
The knife! MoMo had left the knife behind. There was no way for Nashota to protect herself, and MoMo was leading Gwee straight towards her! Derail Gwee? No, that would be just sacrificing himself. Hopefully there will be other two-leggers there, strong ones with weapons who can attack Gwee, or better yet, kill her.
"Help!" screamed MoMo as he ran down the path, out of the forest and towards Nshota's teepee. Nashota was there, as well as other Soquili and Goofy as well. Unfortunately, they were the only ones around that MoMo could see. Oh no! What has he done? He just led Gwee straight into a group of innocent lives!
"Run!" screamed MoMo as he ran closer and closer to the teepee. As he ran and screamed, he caught the group's attention, all shocked and suprised. MoMo ran up to Nashota, climbed up her body and hid behind her back. "Don't just stand around! Run!"

Gwee chased after MoMo, swearing at him as he ran. "You cursed ferret! When I catch you, I am going to kill you and anyone who stands in my way!" After some time of chasing him down the path, Gwee began flying after the damn thing, getting closer and closer behind him with each second that went by of this wild chase.
At last, the chase came to an end. The hunt was over, now was the fun part: the killing. Gwee examined the group with a evil smirk across her face, standing before a terrified group of the strangest combinations. A rabbit, two Soquili, a two-legger and a ferret...who to kill first?
Gwee's instincts of anger told her to get the ferret first, but a better idea came into mind. Torture. Yes, torture the ferret, make it watch each of its protectors fall right before his eyes. That alone would be punishment to the ferret. Just when the ferret would think that it couldn't get worse, Gwee will kill the damn ferret as well. Gwee looked at the two-legger. Yes, the two-legger will be the first to die. What a beautiful day this is going to be. What a beautiful day indeed.

Nashota stood before the green Kalona, terrified. No, not this again. First her mother and her father were killed by the Kalona, then her twin brother, Wynono. It could not happen again, not her entire family. Not her. Nashota slowly reached down to grab her knife. Her eyes widened in panic, patting the ground frantically in desperation. Where was it? The knife was gone!
Nashota felt something hard and sharp between her fingers, clutching onto the object, she lifted it off the ground and held it in her hand. It was a rock, but it was sharp. Hopefully, if Nashota threw it right, it would be able to stun the Kalona, giving her the chance to run.
Nashota swung her arm back and tossed the rock at the Kalona, hitting it in the head. The rock fell to the ground as Nashota looked up at the Kalona. The rock hardly did anything at all. In fact, it only seemed to make her more angry. Nashota took a cautious step back and let out a loud, high-pitched scream. This was the end.

"That was stupid," muttered Gwee. What a dumb, dumb two-legger. Did she really think that a simple rock was going to stop Gwee from killing her? Gwee grinned slightly, now having only more proof of the two-leggers inferiority to Kalona. Gwee kicked back her rear hoof and sucked in some oxygen. This crap was going to end now.
Gwee proccessed the rich oxygen in her lungs and then let it slide right back up to her mouth, full of heat. Gwee opened her fanged mouth and let out a loud terrifying noise, accompanied by Gwee's specialty. Fire. A large flame emerged from Gwee's mouth, straight at the two-legger and her little furry friends.
That should take care of them.

Nashota felt her body heating up as her body became engulfed in flames. Her body flailed in pain as she felt MoMo leap off her back. Nashota spun around and dropped to the ground, rolling around in hopes to beat the flames off of her. She screamed and flinched in burning pain as she rolled back and forth through the dirt, hearing the laughter of the firebreathing Kalona. The flames were gone for the most part, but the pain was still there, hurting more than ever. Nashota lied on her back, looking up at the skies, feeling weak and weary. "I'll be with you soon, my family," muttered Nashota, gathering as much energy as she could to speak. And with that, life left Nashota's body, leaving nothing more than a memory of what was.

"Nashota!" shouted Randee hysterically, tears rolling wildly down her cheeks, looking down at her fallen friend. Nashota's body was still smoking and her clothing was still lightly on fire. "You...you monster! How could you do such a thing?" Randee looked around her. Goofy was hiding behind a ceramic bowl outside the teepee, Kimi was cowering behind the teepee, MoMo was nowhere to be found. It was just Randee and this cruel monster that stood before her. Randee took a few steps back, nervously and then began to sprint off.
"Kimi! Run!" she shouted as she ran off into the woods as fast as she could. Randee turned her head to see Kimi still frozen. Randee stopped and stayed back, watching. She couldn't leave Kimi, she couldn't abandon her. She couldn't be a bad mother in the face of danger; no, not again.

Kimi was frozen. Despite how badly she wanted to turn around and run for her life, she was unable to move a muscle. She stared down at the burnt body of Nashota in shock. What had just happened? It all went so fast. Kimi heard the noises of her mother shouting for her, but it all sounded lie a blur of words. Nothing made sense, everything was fainted out and sounded distorted.
Kimi raised her eyes and saw the Kalona before her. Kimi flashbacked, remembering her first encounter with the Kalona, a ruby red stallion. The stallion did not attack Kimi. At the time, Kimi was full of innocence, insisting that the Kalona was not a 'monster', but perhaps just misunderstood. Kimi thought she had changed since then, but she now realized the sad truth. Her innocence was still there, she was still innocent and young. She could not imagine what had just happened before her eyes. She still could not believe that things like this could actually happen.
But it just did happen. It happened right before her eyes. In an instant, everything had changed. A life was lost, and for what? For nothing. It wasn't the rock that Nashota threw, no, the Kalona was going to kill Nashota even if she didn't throw the rock. The Kalona was evil, they are monsters; not just 'misunderstood'. The only misunderstanding is Kimi's perception of these demonic beasts, her misunderstanding that they are not as cruel as she believed them to be.
Kimi's entire life flashed before her eyes, realizing her innocence, yet at the same time, her lack thereof. If she were able to redo her entire life, she would in a heartbeat. A heartbeat, the eternal symbol of life. The idea of life itself had just changed before Kimi's eyes. She once thought herself to be independent and able to hold her ground, but she was just proved wrong; that there were forces in this world that Kimi would not be able to stand up against. And Kimi was standing right before that very force.
Move, Kimi, move. Move or you will end up like Nashota, she thought to herself. Kimi closed her eyes, holding back the tears, if only for a moment, as she took a step back, and then another, slowly. She opened her eyes, seeing the Kalona still before her, waiting on Kimi's next move. What was her next move to be? Run? If she ran, the Kalona would only follow. If she did nothing, the Kalona would just kill her right at the spot. Kimi spotted Randee, staring back at Kimi in fright. If I run, I can pull the monster away from my mother.
Kimi took a few more steps back, a little quicker and then began to sprint off, rushing past the Kalona as fast as she could, running for her life. Where to run? There was nowhere truly safe she could go, but she knew she had to get as far away as possible. Perhaps she could get the Kalona lost if she ran into the woods...Kimi took a sharp turn into the woods, running along the dirt path, the Kalona following her closely. She felt the heat of fire behind her, the beast must be breathing fire at her. The fire only made Kimi run faster, realizing there was no escape.
Kimi stumbled, tripping over something in the ground. There was a large cracking sound from overhead when leaves and branches fell down from the trees above. A branch slammed into Kimi's back, knocking her down to the groudn completely during her stumble. More and more branches piled onto of her, putting pressure on her lungs making it difficult to breathe. She could feel her body cut and bleeding from the rough and heavy branches that scraped against her, now pinning her down. Kimi cried in pain, knowing she had just made herself the easiest target for the Kalona to kill her...

Gwee circled around the pile of branches that pinned down the blue mare before her, smiling as she examined the trapped mare. The wood looked pretty flammable, could create a nice wildfire in the forest, all the creatures here will pay for what MoMo has done. Gwee chuckled lightly, resisting igniting the wood just yet; instead she will torture the mare first.
It was then that Gwee realized...MoMo. Where had he gone? He was behind the two-legger when she breathed the flame, but then the ferret seemed to disappear out of thin air? Was the ferret hiding? No, it must have been burnt as well, it must be dead; surely it must be dead. Alas, the ferret was dead. A two-legger and the ferret have died today, and its only the start of this marvelous day. Gwee will prove to all not to mess with the Kalona race, all of the inferiors will learn their lesson.
Gwee leaned down to the mare's ear and whispered quietly into her ear, "Prepare to die, mare. Prepare to die."

Leaping out from behind two trees, the strong stallion landed on to the path before the Kalona and his fallen friend. Maverick stood proud and tall, bravely, foolish bravery or not. Maverick wasn't quite sure what he was doing, but he knew he couldn't just let Kimi die like this. He had heard her screams in the forest and saw the trap fall, waiting for the right moment to interfere. If he had waited a moment longer, Kimi could have been killed.
"Stay away," demanded Maverick. Maverick was not neccesarily a trained fighter, but he prayed he would be able to hold his ground in an emergency situation such as the one presented before him. He stared the Kalona down, hoping to be intimidating, but he was nowhere near as intimidating as the green creature. What was he going to do now? Maverick stood still, realizing what a foolish mistake he had just made...

He had smelled it, first.
Lightning looked up at the smoky sky with cold eyes, his curiousity sparking. A fire... Yes, something might be wounded, or dead. His stomach rumbled, quietly. Dead or wounded, that would be good. Especially if it was a two legger. A flicker of disgust and pure hatred flickered through his eyes. They had done this to him. It was both a blessing and a curse. To be so strong, so... powerful. The more he thought about it, and forgot his old life as it leaked out of his memory, the more it seemed like a blessing. But the two leggers did it to him. His lip curled, and silently he strode towards the fire, with the air of a hunter.
~~~
Soquilis, too? All the better. They would pay for shunning him, now. His head was turned to the side, one steely eye on the little group. A... kalona? Stupid. Stupid for being around where a skinwalker was. And a stallion... He wasn't too interested in the stallion. His eyes were on the mare. She was beautiful, such a shame he had found her. Ah well. He would just have to fight the kalona off, and that wouldn't be too hard. He hoped. And then he could simply kick out at the mare, hit her in the head. He would just have to aim right, make sure it hit her hard, crushing her skull as he did it again and again and again. The stallion would be easy enough, too.
The more the merrier.
The skinwalker leaped out of his hiding place, the brush crackling under his feet as he took off, thudding into the ground, near the stallion. Instantly he charged the soquili, head lowered, to hit his side, maybe knock him over, if he was lucky.
"And who the hell are you?" spat Gwee at the new strange beast that had leapt out. First a foolish stallion, now this strange creature. Gwee groaned, she'd just have to kill the both of them, it wouldn't be too difficult, afterall, they are in a forest, surrounded by wood. Not to mention, of course, she can breathe fire. Killing the lot of them wouldn't take long at all.
Gwee blew a flame on a dying and dried on tree, setting it on fire quickly. The tree fell over to the ground, burning, sparking out flames. The tree fell near by the pile of wood on top of the blue mare. Oh, this would be interesting to watch, very interesting indeed...
Lightning jerked his head in suprise, skidding past the striped stallion. Damnit, who said that? His eyes narrowed as they landed on the kalona. Fire? The kalona had.. breathed fire? The skinwalker bristled, and took a step back, hesitating. Should he even reply...? It had taken him a second to understand what she had said, language had become complicated to him, he rarely spoke.
No, just ignore her, get the stallio- the mare. Fire. The kalona. He frowned deeply. If the mare was burned, such an ugly thing he would eat, and there would be no damsel too put in distress. Lower stallions were too bold, too proud, they put up a fight to protect things. Dispicable. Have to get rid of the kalona. With a snarl, he leapt at her, hooves outreached, ready to pound into her side.
