It was a simple day at the office as Skyling sat at her desk, pen in hand and scribbling away at paperwork. She ran her corporation smoothly, especially of the top levels.
Her form was clothed in a black suit that formed to her figure, her shirt in a red shade. Her feet were in heels. Her hair was flowing down her back.
Alex was snuggled in her pocket, his favorite place as an orb. Occassionally she'd sneak her hand into the pocket and pet the orb, oddly finding a sense of peace with the crystal. Occassionally, the golden fog would swirl mystically amongst the black.

Jareth tapped his foot impatiently as the numbers lit up in the elevator one by one. Oh, of course he could have just appeared in the building, but nooooooooo, his advisors had said that kind of behavior was too conspicuous. Well he was Goblin King for God's sake, how more conspicuous can you get. Anyway he at least attempted to blend to this world, swapping the tights and other regal attire for a pair of grey slacks and a white shirt. He'd had a tie but didn't have a clue how to put it on, so he went without. One of the goblin maids had braved the tangled mass of hair on his head and had somehow managed to make it look reasonably tidy and it was now swept back into a blond ponytail. Yed, hopefully he wouldn't stand out too much.

Alex stirred and moved about in her pocket, rolling out of it and into her lap, it's fog moving about. He tinkled a little, trying to catch her attention.
Sky blinked and looked down at him. "What is it, Alex?" Why she asked the orb, she wasn't sure.
Alex wiggled more.

Jareth sighed as the elevator doors finally opened and he worked his way around the various office cubicles and desks, searching for his target.

Sky carried Alex in her hand as she left the desk to get something to drink. She was at the little water cooler in her office, Alex floating a little as she grabbed the cup and filled it.

Jareth finally noticed the human he was looking for on the other side of the office, acting perfectly normally, as if nothing was happening. He huffed angrily and was about to flounce over but a rogue filing cabinet got in his way and the goblin king was unceremoniously thrown to the ground by none other than the laws of gravity.

Whilst the halfbreed was used to appearing very human, she did take note of the fallen man, not realizing it was the king. With Alexander in hand she came over and knelt by him. "Forgive me. I'll see to it that cabinets are attended from now on. Need a hand?" She asked, offering hers.

Jareth scowled after making a complete fool of himself in public. Oh well, they were only mortals so it didn't matter much. He grumbled something resembling "bloody boxes on wheels" and reluctently accepted the hand she had given to him and rose to his feet.

She smirked, containing her laughter as she helped him to his feet. Alexander had rolled up her arm to settle on her shoulder, wiggling a little before nearly tipping over only to be caught by Sky's hand. She gave the orb a look before realizing that the man before her was who the orb was reacting too.
"Yea...those bloody boxes on wheels like to bite." She said, taking a closer look at him. Alex sure recongized him, even if she didn't.

Jareth noticed the little orb in her hand. Yes, she was the one all right. Although he wasn't sure why such a successful looking person would be granted an orb so easily. Maybe the problem was something that couldn't be seen, he wondered.
"Thank you," he said and gave her curt nod. "Sorry for intruding, but I'm looking for a Miss Draggonov." he didn't want to scare her by already knowing her name so he decided to play it safe.

"You're looking at her. Care to take this into the office rather then out were more files on wheels can attack?" She offered already making her way for the office. She was successful but it wasn't fun when she was alone.

Jareth smirked slightly and followed, the office was elegantly decorated, but modest enough to remain within the realms of taste.
"I see you're doing well fo yourself." he said "Tell me, what kind of business is this place?"

She smiled softly. "One that deals with magic, sending any creatures without proper paperwork baack to where they belong." She shrugged. "That's what I've been told when I inherited it."
Alex murred softly as he slipped into her pocket, making itself comfortable. It was a wonder why she was so successful and still held an orb.

Jareth frowned. If an orb had been granted to this young woman and her wellbeing appeared to be in a good state, then maybe there was another problem he wasn't seeing? It was true the many people who called to him were simply lonely and yearning for some kind of friendship. This hardly made sense though as Skyling seemed rather outgoing and from what he'd seen so far she was a fairly likeable person. He would have to stay a little longer to figure this out.

Sometimes the reason was best left unknown. Sky was lonely, even in the midst of a crowded room. In her heart, she secretly craved something that money couldn't buy.
Alex peeked out of her pocket, before rolling out into her hand. He wiggled as fog swirled, seemingly watching Jareth.
