I've started the game over as a Mithra named Vertue on Pandemonium server. Back then I thought lvling 1-10 was obnoxious, but now? Now it's insane! I mean, I put myself into attack mode and head for a MOB and then what? Some lvl 34 ranger blows it away right in front of my face. And there's tons of people fighting in the area too over lvl 10. Like lvl 11-15.

It's especially bad in Basty, but it's in Sandy and Windy as well. I always thought the starting areas were lvl 1-10. Did I miss something while I was gone? Is there something I never got? Is there something I should know? O____o

Actually I very much enjoy lvling in Kazham, and even in Garlaige (32-37). I like Kazham because the exp is fast and sweet and the tnls are small so you can just jump 25->30 in one evening, especially if you have a BRD razz This is the place where parties start to be half decent, and if you're new to the game you actually start understanding what the hell is going on.
I also like Garliage since its so close to Jeuno you don't have to worry about treking out there/treking back. If you have a good skillchain going on exp is pretty fast.

The dunes is always a nitemare but its just a learning curve, and at least if you can't get a party then you can make exp soloing in LaThiene or Konstatch.

I've seen a Tiny Mandragora blasted with Flare II by some blm when I was chasing after it if that makes you feel any better...
