What a strange afternoon it had been! From simply leaving her thorny home to hunt for food, to seeing old memories of her family and her past, to falling for a strange, green male lion, Chu'mana had definitely had quite a time. When she had come out of her home, she was growling at everyone and everything. Now, she was following the green male, her face soft and her eyes calm, just flowing with the world around her.

Ahhh... Such... Such...... Peace...

Those were the only thoughts going through her head... Despite everything and anything going on around her.

The sun was nice and warm, beating down on the pair as Siltim gazed at the scenery before them. No little black cheetah cub. His tail flicked slightly before his eyes narrowed, looking towards Chu'mana. A tricky glint appeared in his eyes as he playfully batted his tail against her with each flick. He couldn't help but laugh, it was a nice feeling to be in the company of another who he could feel at ease with.

Grinning, the female pawed at the tail that so dared to swat her face, slowing down in running. She hadn't had this much fun in... Well.. Forever practically. After all, snakes were not much of a lively bunch... For all they really did was hiss.. And eat... Some fun. Now thinking about, Chu'mana couldn't figure out why she enjoyed living with the snakes for so long... Or even why she did. It just didn't make any sense.

Still, now was not the time to think about the matters of the past. The present was at hand, and she was having much more fun with it than she had ever had with her past.

"Sssssiltim! Sssstop ssswatting me!", she managed to call out, still grinning.

Hearing Chu'mana's cry, Siltim couldn't help but chuckle. Just to make a point, he swatted his tail against her a few more times before turning back to look at her, giving her an innocent smile. "Were you imaging something just earlier? I could of sworn you thought I was swatting you with my tail." He quickly looked ahead, all that was ahead of them was a long stretch of lush, green grass. It was shaping up to be quite the day, and with good company made it all the more better. "If you see a little black cheetah cub, let me know."

"What?! Hey! That'ssss not fair!", she called out to him, her ears flicking some in the slightest bit of anger and frustration. Still, she just had to smile at him. He was, indeed, a trip of a lion to be with.

"A black cheetah cub? No.. I haven't ssssseeeeen any of that type of around here. In fact.. I haven't ssssseeeen a cheetah in a long, long time.. Sssssoooo I may not remember what one lookssss like. Can you dessscribe her?"

Playfully running forward and swatting at Siltim's own tail, Chu'mana laughed behind him, occasionally batting at the little fluff of hair on the end of his tail, it becoming all frizzy and slightly tangled up.

Slowing down just a bit, Siltim waited still he was shoulder-to-shoulder with Chu'mana. For some reason, the fact that she didn't remember what they looked like didn't seem all that surprising to him as it should have been. He considered the fact that she lived secluded from the world for most of her life, there would be no reason for her to interact with cheetahs. Now, he on the other hand practically lived with a family of cheetahs. Chuckling, "Well, she probably comes up to the tip of my chest. She's rather small and all black with blue markings over her face and back. She'd very likely stand out from the green around us."

As he spoke and she played with his tail, he made sure to to wag it slightly from side to side.

"Oh.. Really? I had forgotten jusssst how tall cheetahsss could get. Sssssshe'sssss ssstill a cub, issn't ssshe?"

Falling back and swatting more so at the green fluff, Chu'mana was acting just like a cub again. After all, she had lost a small part of her childhood to a snake... A snake that changed her life forever. Even though this certain snake had caused this horrible change of events in her life, it had never shown back up, leaving her to 'fend for herself, as well as try and survive with a band of snakes that had been 'assigned' to her. Of course though, after they had begun to slowly neglect her, not being around as often and most definitely not providing her with food, she had to slowly break away, and this, so it seemed, was the only way to do so.

"Black with blue... Black with blue.... Remember.. Black with blue... Cheetah cub.. Right, Sssssssilitim?"

Nodding to Chu'mana, "Oh yes, cheetahs can get quite tall. We are very close with a cheetah family...the live right next to us and I think Yaten is about my Dad's height." Siltim smiled slowly, he couldn't wait to see Yaten again. Perhaps they could go off on adventures like they used to with Ma'isah, since she had returned. Oh that's right! Chu'mana gets to meet all his family now, wouldn't that be great! His eyes shifted towards her, he knew they would just love her. She was great and nothing anyone said or do would change that.

"Yes that's right. I'm sure we'll hear or feel her before we see her though..." He narrows his eyes slightly before leaning towards Chu'mana and whispers, "She has a tendancy to pounce on things, though she's real friendly." It was nice to have a companion to talk with and being with Chu'mana made him smile.

"To pounccce, huh? Well, well... I'm a rather good 'pouncccer' myself.. Maybe myssself and thisss cheetah cub will get along great," giggled the lioness. Just like a cub... She couldn't help it. It was just in her nature. Sure, her exterior was rough and scarred, but her interior was that of nothing more than a defenseless cub, ready to play, play, and play some more.

"Sssssoo, Ssssssiltim, who do you live with at your home? Iss your entire family green, jusssst like usss? What about the cheetahssss? Are there hyenasss there too?"

So many questions.. And it seemed like she could just keep on asking them. Everything was so new to her, and it made her curious to find out all about it. Even now, while she asked her questions, she still managed to play with Siltim's tail, bouncing back and forth and just really getting into it. She smiled, she laughed, and she looked so free... And indeed, it was the way she felt.

Chuckling softly, Siltim wouldn't doubt the two of them would get along just nicely. "You two probably would and then I would have to worry if the two of you ganged up on me!" His tail flicked slightly as he turned his head, something out of the corner of his eye caught his attention. Alert, he was going to get ready to head that way before he a lone gazelle leapt away. Letting out a breath, it wasn't Alula.

Turning his attention back to Chu'mana, he replied, "I live with my family in our den, though two of my siblings have left us and are living somewhere outside of the Pridelands. Well, all my siblings except for my one brother all have green on them. He's the oddball with no green, but is still one of us. So you'll be surrounded by plenty of green. My mother is currently pregnant with a new litter, so it could be any day now that I'll be getting new siblings," He paused before smiling softly, "Our cheetah friends live right next to us. Yaten and his mate with their four cubs. As for hyenas, I wouldn't be surprised if there are some around. The Pridelands is a great place that any species can go if they are seeking a place to settle down and live nicely. I have heard of wild dogs roaming the area as well."

With the gentle breeze lulling around then, he caught the faint scent of Alula with a smile. "I think she's been here, I can faintly smell her scent." They were getting closer, hopefully they'd catch her before she catches them.

As the lone gazelle had leapt away, Chu'mana had felt a sudden rush of hunger, just now remembering that she still hadn't eaten anything since she was forced to leave her thorny home. Restraining herself, she simply watched the graceful creature, her mind following it while her body stuck close to Siltim.

Reverting her attention back to the here and now, she listened to Siltim as they walked together. It seemed that he did, indeed, want to find this cheetah cub, but was also in now rush to. He seemed content enough just talking with her odd self, smiling and laughing most of the time, as well as explaining things that she just had trouble grasping some of the time. Still, despite all that and hearing Siltim's stories, Chu'mana did find it necessary to help to find this young cub. After all, Siltim had been put in charge of her, and Chu'mana surely didn't want him to get in trouble over a silly little cub.

"You think sssshee'ssss been here?," she said quietly, stopping to sniff the air around them. Indeed, it did smell a tad bit different, but at the same time, it just smelled like more prey to her, for she had practically eaten everything when she lived with the snakes. "I can ssssmell ssssomething odd... But I can't tell what it may be."

Nodding his head slightly, Siltim was sure that she had been here. Oh, she wasn't going to get the best of his this time. "Yes, I do think so. It's her scent, but it's faint...guess we'll have to follow it for a little while to see if it can get any stronger." His tail flicked back and forth as his lime green eyes shifted to and fro. It was pleasant to have her with him, it was now that he felt comfortable with another female other than his sister. Something he didn't think was all that possible until now.

A figure in the distance caught his attention. It was small and dark...was it Alula? Slowing down, he spoke Chu'mana "I think she's up ahead...lets see if we can surprise her." He had a cheeky grin on his features.

Grinning, and in a sort of evil way, Chu'mana nodded, looking over to where Siltim has said that the little cub could of possibly been. Could it be this cheetah? Chu'mana had no idea.. For even though she had seen cheetahs before, she couldn't remember for the life of her what one actually looked like. Shaking her head some, she went back to concentrating on the object up ahead, trying to see if it matched the description of the cub.

"Hmmm.. It isss ssssssmall and dark-looking.. Could it be her, Ssssiltim..?"

Silently taking a few steps forward, the lioness sniffed the air, trying her best to pick up the scent. She had a pretty good whiff of it, but she honestly wasn't sure who's or what's it could of been. Looking over to Siltim, her yellow eyes tried to seek answers, as well as something else.. But what.. Well, that was still a mystery.

Picking up his pace slightly, the grass was slightly taller here but Siltim didn't take any notice to it. He got closer to the darker figure before pouncing on it. Only, the thing he pounced on was not Alula, but a nicely placed rock with her scent all over it. Falling back with stars swirling around his vision, he felt slightly embarrassed with this whole thing. His lime green eyes shifted sheepishly back towards Chu'mana as he was about to talk before his mouth hung open.

Watching the whole scene a good distance away as to not give up her scent, a little black cheetah juvenile was lying low. Alula knew that her caretaker had caught on to her scent and came up with a scheme to get him good. Her dark eyes glinted evilly at the idea she came up with, rub her scent all over a dark rock and place it in their path. Oh, it was ingenius! Her tail flicked happily as things were all going according to plan. As Siltim did just what she had hoped, the little juvenile slowly made her way towards the couple with a sly grin spread across her features. Proudly, she had her head raised, "You must be losing your eyesight, Siltim, if you had mistaken that for me!" She teased him happily.

Not being able help laughing, Chu'mana was rolling over on the ground, giggles and roars of laughter breaking through the air. It had been so long since she had last laughed like this, so it was actually hurting her, but in a good way. Her eyes were all watery and her sides were tight, but she enjoyed every second of it.

"Ssssssiltim!! Oh my! You're ssssooo ssssstuupid, but I love it! How could you missstake a rock for a cheetah cub?!"

Still rolling around in the tall grass, it only tickling her sides, actually opening her eyes for a second, she breifly saw a black figure raised slightly above the grass, blue and white markings on her face in the shape of some sort of mask. She wanted to so much stop laughing and see if it was that cheetah cub that they had been searching for, but she just couldn't, and she went right back on to laughing, her tail lashing around wildly.
