 Mother was away, so was father, but he was always away. She wasn't sure what to think of him, he seemed confused. However, mother was even more strange, and so Kali would create stories around them, listening intently to the conversations of all those who dared to venture near. For now, at such a young age, Kali was content to stay close to the tree. Her other two siblings were sleeping, their bodies touching underneath what was one of the most legendary trees in the land, or at least it was according to the dark purple filly.
There was only one individual she dared to wake up. It was the sister she held a strong bonding to, for she was last born. Kali felt it necessary to protect her. Besides, Lilith was different. She was all white, unlike the others, with a bit of red streaking her body. Where on earth the red had come from, Kali did not know. Father had red on his mane, but mother was a pure golden example. Yes, this full was unlike her and the others in every way, and because of it, Kali felt the need to keep her by her side.
"LILY!" she yipped, nipping at her siblings ear in a demanding fashion. "Get up! Come on! Its boring." She scowled and delivered another soft kick to the sleeping figure. "You sleep to much!"

 Lilith slept contently under their big tree. Lilith was different neither of her parents were white, well her mother had white socks but that was it. All her other siblings atleast resembled their parents in some way, Lilith did not. The only thing similar was the blood red spider web on her face, she seemed to be stained with blood although she wouldn't kill anything. Her horn even seemed tainted it wasn't even white or gold it was an icky grey. Why was she born like this? she wondered. It seemed as though the little foal was cursed.
Lilith wasn't sure what to make of her father, he was never around. Always prowling around some were either in the dark or Casa Tiner. She had caught a few glimpses of him when he came to eat in D'ob. She didn't think to much of him after all he abandoned them but her Seer mother... she never understood her either. Her mother was 'perfect' in everyway in the eyes of well it seemed everyone else. Lilith even though she loved her parents had a dislike for them as well.
"LILY" her nickname was yelled by her older sister, Kali was the only one who called her that and besides if anyone else did she'd probally beat them. She sometimes found Kali rather irritating for she was quite over protective of Lilith, She loved Kali anyway. Lilith opened her little eyes, and gave an irritated snort "So what if I sleep a lot?" she yawned flicking her little white ears back. "I was content. So what do you want?" she said bluntly her eyes were half closed again.
Lilith snorted blowing her little red forlock out of her eyes.

Kali waited impatiently, flicking her small tail from right to left as she chewed on her lower lip. Could she be any slower!?
"Its not good for you!" Kali retorted, stomping her foot down into the forest loam. "It will give you a disease!" she lied, widening her eyes to try and stare Lilith up from her nap.
"I'm bored, Lily! Bored, bored, bored, bored, BORED!" She flicked her gaze back at the other two sleeping siblings, whom wouldn't get up either. They were all so dull. "I want to do something."
She let out a sigh that sounded a bit like a childish pout. "Besides mother is out with father. Now is the perfect time to explore the tree world!" Their parents had said no venturing away from the various fruit trees, but hadn't said they couldn't explore every inch of it. She wanted to see if there were other Nequus like herself about.

"SO what if I dont want to go?" she retorted with a yawn. Lilith was always more cheerful when she was awake not half asleep. "No it wont you liar sleeping wont give you a disease..." she yawned again. "So? Go back to sleep" Lilith snorted bah there was no shaking off her sister when she was like this, but ohhh she just wanted to go back to sleep.
"But why is it always me?" he asked shaking her head from side to side trying to wake herself up. Her mind was still quite foggy and filled with sleep. She flicked her little red tail and stared at her sister. Lilith didn't care much for exploring at all but she atleast had to humour her elder sister.
"Thoes pouts of yours don't work on me sis." Lilith told Kali with a roll of her eyes. "And you couldn't explore the world yourself?" the little silver mare asked her rising to her feet. Lilith looked around sure enough her two other siblings were fast asleep. she sighed Epona looked so much like mother. Dez and Kali were perfect mixtures of the two... she was just weird.
"So were do you want to explore?" she gave in to her older sisters demands since she was wide awake now.

She had already tried to go back to sleep. It hadn't worked. She'd simply turned over and daydreamed about nothing. It was not the time for sleep. It was sunny, warm, and adventurous. She needed to stretch her legs.
"The other sister's are all sleeping!" she explained to Lilith. Truly, the one scared her, and the other always had a bug in her nose, so to speak. "Its no fun to explore the world by yourself!" Didn't Lily get anything? She wasn't like a flower at all, not a pretty smelling one anyway. She was like one of those big stinky flowers that looked nice, but had the stench of rotten meat. No fun at all.
But her annoying antics must have paid off, because her sister was soon on her feet and glaring at her grumpily. "I win," Kali said, grinning broadly and deciding where exactly they were going. She hadn't really thought it out. She figured she'd just start walking.
"I dunno, you lead?" she offered, flicking her gaze around to make sure there was no mother nearby.

"Course it's fun on your own" Lilith retorted sarcasticly "Your just a baby and your older than me too!" she smirked 'Now what does that say?" she teased her older sister about always having her around. Kali was annoying she glared breifly again then looked to th other two sleeping.
"I'm only humoring you Kali." she said rolling her eyes and cantering infront of Kali. She bagan to walk then stopped and motioned for Kali to walk beside her. Why did she always have to be out front? She was the cursed one. Lilith rolled her eyes "So what?" she said sarcasticly "Dezzy doesn't sacre me she's just..." she pondered for a moment the word she was thinking of wasn't surfacing. She didn't really talk to her other sister much Epona. Epona was always going off on her own whenever Lilith saw her. Lilith let it be as she started to walk around again. Their tall safe tree in the distance or well it seemed to the little foal.
"There is no one out here" she yawned bored all they had done so far was walk weres the fun in that? "And it was your Idea to come out and you dont even know were we are going Kali! You just make me lead" Lilith scolded her older sister for being so curious.

She wasn't just a baby, and Lily was being stupid. "Oh, shut up!" she said, kicking her sister in the ribs. She secretly enjoyed her sister's hassles, but she wasn't about to tell her that.
"Well don't!" she responded to Lilith's retorts of only humoring her. In fact, it was beginning to be just a bit too rediculous to bring her along. "Desdemona is frigging crazy!" Kali dramatized. "She's always talking in that voice. It drives you mad." She scowled. "And Espera is just a pinprick," she voiced. It might have been because she never spent any time with her other siblings, she was so busy following Lily around or visa versa.
"Of course there is no one out here!" Kali raged. "There's not supposed to be anyone. Are you some kind of social freak?" Kali was clearly not impressed with her sister. "Its our time, on our own and you want to ruin it with Nequus?" The dark purple filly rolled her eyes and trotted in front of the other.
"Fine, I'll lead, but if you get your foot stuck in a hole, don't say I didn't warn you." She flicked her tail and weaved her way through the trees. Perhaps she'd find father's tree. That would be something.

Lilith smirked then kicked her sister back "You have to do better than that!" She cantered ahead again her smirk widened. Her small red mane and tail flew behind her even if they were currently short; she secretly wished they would grow really long. But either way "Your slow Kali!" she called back before she stopped in front of Kali.
"Ok there is that" she grinned finding a consensus with her sister on something. Although she hadn’t really spent any time with her other two sisters, Kali was always following her. “You haven’t spent any time with Espera!” Lilith shot back, course she hadn’t either but that wasn’t the point. Maybe their father was out here some were, although she really doubted it Why she held any hope at all was beyond her. Their father didn’t care about them at all. Or well that’s at least what their mom said or something like that.
Lilith snorted “I thought that’s what you were!” came her reply “I am personally glad there is no one out.” Lilith said that way there would be no one to yell at her being the cursed one she was. Lilith glared back at her sister’s eye rolling but was finally glad Kali stopped being a ‘baby’ as she had put it earlier.
“I’m less likely to get my foot stuck than you are!” she said walking behind Kali “What are you looking for?” she inquired easily keeping up with Kali who was weaving her way through the trees. Heh this was boring but she did enjoy Kali’s company when she wasn’t pestering or being annoying her although Lilith wouldn’t ever admit it to Kali.

Yes she was slow, and her sister kicked better. So what? Kali told better stories, and considering she was going to grow up to be the teller of legends, it didn't much matter otherwise. But that was her own personal secret and not even Lily could know it just yet.
"Neither have you!" she shot back with bravado. It gave her enough time to catch her tongue before stumbling. "Ah, s**t!" she said, copying the words mother had told her not to say. It made her look less, what was it, elegant? If that was the case, she intended to use such words every other sentence if it was possible. Not to piss of mother, but she didn't want to be all mare-like.
"Right," Kali snorted. "You just keep telling yourself that." She surged ahead, making a mad dash through the trees. She opened her mouth and looked back to respond when her head smacked into something soft and furry.
"Ouch!" she exclaimed as she fell backwards, peering up at the strange figure before her. What was this?
"What are you doing?"
It was horses like mother that ruined Kali's little excursions. "Uh. .. . " she began sheepishly, looking up at Storm with her ears layed back in submission. "Uh. . . "
Her mother shook her head and scoffed, ovbiously not impressed. "You're lucky you're my offspring."
Great mom, Kali thought to herself, we get extra Kudo points. But she knew that she really was lucky to be the daughter of Storm and not some lowly passerby. Not only did she not feel the threat of those hooves, but their mother refused to read her foal's minds, for the time being. Kali was pretty sure if things got tough her mother would not hesitate to find out their deepest secrets. At the moment, however, mother would keep out, and for that, Kali was thankful. "Exploring," she coughed out, backing up a few strides.
"And your siblings?" Storm raised an eyebrow at her.
"Well uh. . . they are sleeping. Yeah." Kali avoided her mother's gaze, knowing full well she was probably in trouble. Her tail swished to the side slowly and her nose itched. Why did her nose itch?

"SO? I hang out with them more than you!" she shot back, following Kali ignoring her bad language. She didn't know why Kali insited on saying that stuff but it didn't matter to her. "Well it's True I am less likely to get stuck!" Lilith smirked although her smirk faded fast incredibly fast when she saw what Kali had bumped into. "Mother..." Lilith whispered under her breath.
Ah Oh no! Mother! Lilith knew this was going to be a bad Idea, And they were caught. Lilith didn't cower though she went and stood beside her sister, willing to take punishment as she knew it would probally come. "We were exploring mother" she said truthfuly she learned pretty young not to cower infront of her mom. "They are sleeping" Lilith replied in unison with Kali although instead of avoiding her gaze she looked right at her.
Her mom ruined everything, she always did but she figured they would get another chance to explore and that would probaly make Kali happy latter. Lilith's gaze wandered off into the distance and saw a flash of purple, silver and red. What was that? she wondered.

Kali sometimes thought Lilith was a little too brave. Not avoiding mother's eyes might have been considered disobedience, and Kali surely wouldn't risk that. However, mothers eyes didn't seem cold like she thought they should be, in fact, call her crazy, but might there have been a warmth in them?
"Exploring, hmmm?" came their mother's soft reply, looking them over with a gaze that was clearly meant to be scarier than it was. "I hope you told your sisters where you were going?"
Kali looked rather distraught again at this point. She shook her head from side to side, clearly acknowledging the fact that no, they had left their sisters simply sleeping.
Storm nodded at them. "Had I come back, found you missing, you would have had me worried." It wasn't a very strong scold, Kali could tell. Mother was softer than all the legends said. In fact, she didn't seem scary at all.
But Lily seemed to be distracted, and her eyes were wandered. Confused, Kali followed her gaze, but could find nothing. Shaking herself lightly, she turned attention back to mother, but something was wrong. The mare's gaze had hardened, her ears were pinned and now she looked scary.
Everything after that happened in a flash. Suddenly she was shoved against sister, mother's body loomed over them protectively. "Lilith, Kali, be still."
"Velg!" she heard the harsh call of their parent. "Don't be sneaking around." Seer, Kali had to remind herself. Mom's a seer. It was shocking even know to realize she knew things about other Nequus that took most years to figure out.

Lilith sayed silent, it had been Kali's to wander whithout telling them but Lilith had just followed along. Lilith looked away a sign of not telling her other sisters about were they were going of course even they didn't know were they were going. Lilith also knew of mothers soft side, even though she hated their father she loved them all. "Sorry mother." Lilith said apologizing to Mother. Lilith stare into the distance continued until Kali was shoved sharply into her "Owch!" her voice was a harsh whisper as their mother stoof over them protectively. She flattened her ears seeing mothers harsh demenor was strange from the usual Strom she was used to. Lilith sniffed she knew that sent it had often appeared when she was sleeping or still in a sleepy daze during the night, Lilith had often seen a dark protective form although since she was dazed and fell asleep right after she though she was just dreaming.
"Velg" called storm
That was the name of their father why was he here? she wondered had he never really dissapeared and if he had did he come back always? More questions arose in the small filly's mind. Storm was a seer she always knew who was around for a moment Lilith had forgotten.
"Father?" Lilith gave a questioning glance toward the towering mare above them. She looked at Kali and looked at herself then storm again sure enough it was him his deep purple coat and tipped mane the spider web on his side gave him away completely.
Velg'larn approached out from the trees as usual the seer was tense he would have though with he abilities she would guess it was him before hand. He walked toward Storm and his two daughters, it was strange seeing his traits passed on in his foals. Velg'larn came by during the night to check on his daughters constantly then left to go back toward Casa Tiner's lower forest after he had been fed and prepared his mental self for the onslaught from the forest trying to break his mental barriers.
"As you wish." he replied to Storm in his usual empty voice.

Kali was excited. She had never seen father before. He wasn't around much. Well, she'd glimpsed him, but it was at night, and there was no vibrant sun to make his colors stand out. She thought he looked rather proud, and she wanted to stand tall, just like him.
"Lily, look!" Kali piped, completely oblivious to mothers strange tone. "Father has come to visit! Isn't this grand, Lilith?" She practically purred this all out, as she squirmed her way through mother's legs. It seemed Storm was a bit more relaxed now.
Storm's eyebrows furrowed, Kali noticed. "You know, you could at least show some empathy towards your own blood," the golden mother snapped at him, clearly agitated.
Kali thought it was strange that mother could show them so much love, and snap so much at father.
"Can we go with father for a bit? He could take us places!" Kali seemed avidly hopeful, and was hopping around on her four legs like mother had brought her a grandose present.
Storm eyed them warily. "As your father."
Mother's always gave that answer.

"Lily look!" came Kali's voice
Lilith did look though the spider web mask on her face. "It is Father." she whispered back. Storm had visibly relaxed and Lilith blew a sigh of relief.
Lilith nodded to Kali still unsure how she should react. Kali seemed so excited but Mother... Lilith nodded again and smiled she too pushed her way out from underneath their mother to stand beside Kali. Just a few moments ago Storm had been warm and kind toward them and now she was snapping.
Kali's excitement was starting to rub off on Lilith like it was a contagious thing and she nodded more vigorously than she had previously “Can we go?” she chimed with Kali she had not known her father well but this might be a chance to learn something about him. Kali would probably enjoy it too cause she could over exaggerate stories as she so often enjoyed… Of course Lilith had to listen to them all.
Lilith didn’t get as hyper as her sister to the point of hopping around their mother. Lilith was a little embarrassed seeing her sister do such a thing.
Velg'larn didn't twitch when Storm snapped at him, Velg’larn had already gotten used to it. One of his two daughters seemed really excited and whispering to the other. While the blood stained one seemed more reserved not much though. Velg'larn wasn't good a taking care of children even his own. They seemed so excited just to see him? Why? He wondered why did they still care? He was sure storm had enforced how he should be hated by them. Still...
Velg'larn’s hard empty gaze began to soften. He had originally come to watch them quietly. Velg’larn stepped forward the one was so hyper it was going to make him dizzy; he wasn’t used to the hyper-ness of foals. But he did still have a soft spot for them. Being with Storm recently had brought forth some of his emotions.
He looked at Storm and sent her a mental message looking for her approval knowing full well she still and would always hate him for not being around enough.

No kidding it was father, Kali thought to herself, with a roll in her eye. She clearly displayed the anger of adolescence, even in her more youthful of years.
She turned one more arc and came back to face Storm, face pleading, smile stretching from ear to ear. The gold frowned, tossed her head, and sighed. "Alright," she gave in, admitting defeat. "Go with your father."
Kali could have touched the sky, she went whooping about in a circle, and started bubbling a mess of words.
"Father is going to take us to the end of the earth, where everybody loves crossbreeds, and worships the horn that touches the sky. Fire meets water to mix in the earth and rise to the heaven's as steam. . . " it went, and it seemed to continue without rest.
The gold couldn't help but to laugh at the figure of her daughter that so playfully welcommed Velg'larn. Her voice, cold and full of warning, quickly broke this erethral joy.
"If I find that one speck or air of harm comes to their hides, I will put you in the ground." It was clearly adressed at Velg'larn. Not to say she didn't trust him, but any mother's worry would be heightened if they sent their children off with the man they never saw. She'd never let him forget this.
