It's Chao that goes, after being defeated by Negi in the latest chapters, but she doesn't die. As for my sig, I'm just expressing how I feel about Makie. She seems like a dead character. crying

After Negi defeats Chao, she decides that she has to go back to her time. So she says her last goodbyes - freinds, ancestors, and all - and travels back.
On a side note, she also leaves the gang a book with Negi's family tree!(?)
