Meandering about the forest's edge, a winged creature snuffed at grass. He was grazing, just barely, picking at the greens every once in a while to satisfy an urge to chew. He wished to fly, yet was fatigued and wouldn't be able to go for long in the air. For this reason, he was groundbound, a most unfortunate situation for any wind Soquili who loves the privelage of soaring. Despite his hunger, however, he did not really wish to eat for some reason unknown to him. What he truely wanted most at that moment was Salali, his Indian companion, but she had gone out in the cold to find something or another, and had not requested a steed for the job. After a short while of waiting for her return, Silverwings had grown bored and left the teepee to graze.
So, there he was, at the eedge of the forest, nibbling at the grass, completely wrapped in boredom. His head raised at the peircing cry of an eagle, looking for it's figure in teh sky. There she was, that gorgeous bird, possibley on the hunt for all he knew. He knew it was possible for him to gain one as a friend in the future, but such a thing had yet to happen, most unfortunatley. it might be nice to fly about with a bird so powerful as the migthy eagles that called the clouds their home. There were so many nesting in the forest, he had often gone out to watch them, and then joined them on their hunts. For now, though, he was stuck on the ground, flicking his tail in absolutely boredom, at the edge of the forest.

Takoda wandered about the the valley's edge where it met the forestline. She had spent so much time in the valley by the pond by rarely ever saw another soquili, other then her father of course. Boredom and lonlieness began to take its toll on her. She just wished for another to speak to, a friend. Yes a companion to chat with and have fun with perhaps. Male or female didn't matter, as she was only seeking friendship with another. With this in mind the purple, spotted mare decided to set forth and wander in search of another. Perhaps always staying one place was her problem, after all how does one make a friend if they never venture out?
The morning had passed into afternoon, and the warm sun felt good on her back as she searched. Despite how chilly it had gotten from this wintery season of ice and snow, she always found comfort and warmth in the sun shining down on her back.

Munching on grass idley, Silverwings watched a rabbit shoot out from the trees and down the meadow at the speed an eagle flies. It was a curious thing, as there was nothing chasing the little creature, but he didn't persue the matter. The rabbit had passed by something far more interesting. A purple mare was walking about nearby, just what he had been waiting for. Social stimulation is, after all, a basic need and want of any equine. Letting out a sheer whiny, he trotted onward towards the other, a glint in his eye. Perhaps she wouldn't be antisocial and would talk with him, or do anything with him really. By this point, even a grazing buddy would be nice.
When he reached the spotted soquili, he bowed his head and spread his wings in a gentlemenly gesture, always wanting to remain proper. He was, first and foremost, a mannered male, brought up properly and all. "Good morning, ma'am. My name is Silverwings." He rarely asked for another's name, as he figured if they wanted to give it out, they would of their own accord.
