Im Indian and when I was little I saw a spirit called Krishna. He is the God in Hinduism that is blue and glowy. He is my favorite god and I pray to him. Sometimes I feel like he is watching over me. Ive even learned a few wisdom spells from him. Some of my magic was passed from my grandmother in India who is a palm reader and she is kind of like a gypsy lady. Does anyone in here do any Ancient Magic passed from your ancestors and if so what type? I know that many families pass down their heritage and secrets.

My family is full of christians stretching back as far as anyone has been able to trace so far. I'm the first in at least a few centuries to follow a different path, so I don't have any ancestral magick stories.

My grandmother was the one who tried to teach me things, but the only thing I could do she called "Unmagick". My father and mother pretty much shunned her, my father all the way through her death and funeral. As did the rest of the family, the last person who supported her and me died long ago, and the rest of the family are christian, closed minded, ~~~. And she tried to teach me Indian magicks, many shamanic things because that's what my family has done in the past, and things out of a really old book in Latin. I wish that I would have inherited the abilities, so that I could contact her. I know that I will pass on the teachings to my children though, and hopefully they will be able to use them.

My families progression is genetic. Me and my brother can trace our ancestry to the gypsies, so we've gotten quite a bit of natural talent from that side of the family. The other side of the family has always been extremely devout Catholic, which isn't a bad thing, since we've inherited traits from them too. Overall, me and my brother got a big jump on things as far as paranormal stuff goes.

Alas, like many people in this guild, I am the first in my family to be in a religion other than Christian/Catholic. Like it was said before me, it is not neccesarily a bad thing, but it can be based on how they act around different faiths. Unfourtunatly, I got the bottom of the fish barrel, which means that they are the most close minded people in the State of Washington. Aside of that, I probably have some Germanic magick in my blood from my dad's side. I just don't know for sure since I don't know him that well.

I certainly have some tradition passed down from my mothers side, though I'm not sure if it qualifes for the grand title of "Ancient Magic". Healing things mainly, my grandmother, it would appear had some hell of a strong gift for it. Though of course, technically the whole family is catholic. *smallcough*
