Rylenn had gotten lost. Not only lost.. but extremely lost. He thought he was going the correct way to go see Dante's office and see when he could sign up to talk with the man, but it seemed fate's hand (( his authoress and Rylenn's #1 fan 8D )) guided him elsewhere. He stood at a strange door. He touched the plaque. 'Lab'? What is a lab doing in the magical section of the school...? Maybe he could see Dante personally. He slipped in quietly and looked around. He blinked at the items around him. No.. he was definately in the wrong place... oh yes. Maybe someone was in here.. someone who could tell him where he was and how to got to Dante's office.
So he ventured further into the room. "H-hello?" He looked around, feeling rather vulnerable in the room. He didn't know where he was.. what dangers lurked around these halls.. if the races of old were real.. what stopped the monsters of old from being real as well? So he became skittish.. not knowing where to go. He kept looking around, jumping at every moving shadow. He backed up into a table and yelped. He turned quickly and fell against yet another table. He heard sloshing and felt something wet slap his backside. A slight burning sensation began to occur and Rylenn cried out. He pulled his clothes off as fast as he could before they could hurt him.
When he finally stopped.. there he was.. naked... in the middle of an unknown territory with a slightly red bum.

Lorioth understood full well that the first rule was to never leave an experiment unattended. But no one frequented the halls at this hour, and he was just a door away-- in the supply room trying to get at the extra goods. It wasn't his fault he had forgotten to check. Actually... he had. He had checked and he had thought ten milligrams would be enough.
Besides. He had faith in these students. He didn't think they'd go around entering rooms uninvited, much less disturb an experiment. It was one he had practiced before with no consequences. It was safe... right?
He didn't hear the hello. It was the yelp that got his attention. Too much noise when he was expecting silence, and alarmed (panicked. Nervous. Flipping out) the blonde dashed out of the room, clutching the extra vial to his chest as if it would calm his heart rate.
What the...
"What are you doing here?" his voice was quiet, for a teacher. He could raise it when speaking to a class, or authorities, but this was not Speaking Time, and so it did not occur to him. Besides, the boy could not have hurt his sense of hearing. Not after...
"Oh." Well. The situation answered itself well enough. Color touched his cheeks. This was definitely not appropriate! And somewhat embarrassing too. Oh, what would the others say?
A student. Hurt by his experiment. Naked.
"What am I going to do with you?" he said, exasperated-- as if it was the student's fault, more than his own.

Rylenn blushed brightly and grabbed his untouched shirt and tried to hide himself as best he could. "I'm sorry. I truly am. I didn't mean for this to happen! I got lost.. I'm a magic student.. and I was looking for the teacher's offices.. and I couldn't.. I thought I had made the right turn and I ended up here!" He was in near tears. Embaressed. Cold. Scared shitless... This was not a good thing. What was worse... his a** was beginning to hurt again. He looked at it behind him. "It's hurting!" He began to freak out again. No.. this wasn't like normal Rylenn.. this was the side that people rarely saw.. the young Rylenn. He wasn't very old.. truthfully. He acted older than he felt on the inside. He had just gone what he felt was a traumatic experience and all this stranger could do was stare at his naked self and blame Rylenn!

Lorioth sighed. It was his fault. Calm, knowing that nothing potentially fatal had happened, and quiet too-- because it was better to diffuse the situation than draw more attention to it.
"New students have a habit of doing that." he started, trying to ease the poor boy. Oh, dear. Placing the vial at the counter, he moved over, carefully avoiding looking at the boy at all. This was an uncomfortable situation for him too. "My name is Lorioth. Doctor Manneth, and of course it hurts. I didn't have enough *insert scientific chemical here* to stabilize the compound, so it would naturally react with your skin's pH balance."
Unable to avoid it, he flicked his eyes at the boy's attention. Oh, what the others would say. Especially that Ardanay... and how humiliating too! Composing himself, his brows twitched in an expression of distress. "I'll get a salve, boy. It only burns the way sunburn should." his lips twitched for a fraction into a smile.
Although he knew few people who actually got burnt in that... specific region. "Follow me. It'll be tender, but no worse for wear then falling from a stool. And then."
He paused.
"You will help me redo the experiment." There was no room for argument in that note. Even Lorioth knew how to be firm.

Rylenn blushed. "Right now?" He watched the other.. was this guy a perv?! Was he even a TEACHER?! He stayed where he was. "What salve?" He could and would be firm as well. This was completely fishy. He didn't want to become playcandy for someone.

Realizing just what this situation could turn into (could a teacher be sued for sexual harassment at this school?) Lorioth blushed. And it wasn't easy to hide it, considering that he was pale. Instead, he looked away, suddenly self conscious of the fact that he was stuck in such a situation. What would the others do?
"It's perfectly safe. A mix of aloe vera and calamine." he moved, rapidly as if speed would make things better. Yes. It must. "I keep some in this room in case of emergency..." with all the other first aid goods. Burns. Why couldn't he have been caught working on something safer?
"The storage room is right over there" he said, as he moved to fetch the salve kept in a little white tub. The seal was broken, but hardly used. He motioned with his head towards his left. You know, for... privacy. "I highly doubt you'll need my assistance."
This was so, so humiliating.

Rylenn shook his head and mentally scolded himself for being so rude. "Thank you.. I guess there is.. nothing for me to wear?" He took the salve and cast his shirt aside, padding into the storage room and salving his bum. He almost cooed. Almost. It instantly cooled the poor area. He looked around for something to wear. "Scrubs.. anything? Especially if I have to help you with your experiment. Or we could run me back to my dorm room.. and I can get changed there.."

Lorioth paused, looking around the room. A couple of lab coats hunt on a cloak rack, and he reached for one. They were student size, which was to say average and it wouldn't be too big or too small on this new boy.
"I have a lab coat." he answered, considering the second. It would be mortifying to have someone walk in and find the boy in just a lab coat-- he wouldn't hear the end of it! But to wait, for the boy? Lorioth had little experience in trusting young students, and he wasn't so keen on following him either.
Somehow it seemed worse.
Weighing the decision, he hesitated. "Go, quickly then. But come back, mind you." he said, trying to insert a note of warning. "And student." he said, softly. "I don't have your name."
A little bit foreboding, perhaps? Well, that was better then sounding embarrassed.

Rylenn poked his head out. "A labcoat will do.." He stepped out and took a labcoat. It was no use being shy. The man had already seen Rylenn's business so it didn't make much sense. He slipped it on. "Rylenn." He looked at the teacher. "And you, Professor?" He didn't wait for the answer though. He slipped out and ran for his room.
When he got to his room, he had a moral debate whether or not he would go back, but in the end, his morality won over and he changed. He slipped on black jeans and his black tank top, per normal. Instead of his spikes, Rylenn brushed his hair back and held it in an mini-bun on top of his head. He looked at himself.. then caught himself wondering if he looked all right. "He's a professor, dumb a**."
Rylenn slipped out again and retraced his steps back to the lab. He looked at the watch on his arm and murmured. "15 minutes. A new record I think.. well, Professor?" He looked at him. One would wonder if he looked better with his clothes on or off. Yes, he was a sight to behold when he was naked, but with clothes.. it offered an enigma.. what was really under there.. muscles rippling under a snug tank top.. hmm...

Lorioth blinked, watching the boy leave. He had given his name in the beginning-- hadn't he? The situation was so unnatural and unimaginable that he was having trouble keeping things straight. Doubting himself was not a good side-- he never doubted his work... but his actions? Oh, that was different. Making a bet with himself and wondering if the boy would actually come back, he moved around to prepare the experiment again.
He didn't hear the boy, not his steps. But he heard the voice and smiled, pleased. It seemed this one was made up of reliable stock. "Rylenn, was it?" he asked, deciding that it wasn't worth answering such spunk. He felt shy-- what a situation to find yourself in! But Rylenn was a student.
He was only a student, he told himself.
"Now come over here so I can show you what we're doing." his tone look a more collected note as he explained the experiment. "It's a simple three way combination of different chemicals. What makes it hard is that ordinarily, they don't mix. Think oil and water." he smiled. With his work, he knew what to do.

Rylenn padded over and made a face as a lock of hair fell into his eyes. "If they don't normally mix.. why are we mixing them?" He raised a brow slightly and peered at the chemicals. "Doesn't that go against the natural balance of things?" Rylenn, being a believer in magic, knew what happened when someone messed with the balance of nature. It was never a good thing. He leaned on the table and sighed. "But I'm not here to get into the ramifications of one's actions when messing with the laws and physics of nature.. what do you need me to do?" Oh.. Rylenn was smart.. very smart in fact... he just didn't show it to many people.

Lorioth smiled, amused. The boy must be smart to get into this school, and yet this act seemed to scream average. "Thats what I try to do, Rylenn." he answered simply. "Make things that go against the natural balance, natural." It wasn't a joke, but it was a quip- and Lorioth was proud.
It was rare he managed one.
"Now." his voice smoothed and he explained, pointing to every ingredient and every tool and explaining. Some of it was basic stuff, but used in a way to enhance. It was important, and he needed someone with steady hands.
Or at least, someone to hold things. He could be the steady hands.
"We are not messing with anything." his eyes were bright. This was where he belonged. This was what he understood. "We're understanding."
Pointing, he nodded his head. "I need two milligrams of the liquid to your right." he said, holding the glass at a slight angle, above the flame with a pair of tongs.

Rylenn hid his laugh in a cough. "Yes, Professor. Two milliliters of the liquid." He got the small amount of liquid. "What do I need to do with it...?" He'd keep his one filed under good for debates. He wanted to get to know the magic professors.. but now.. now this science professor.. he had piqued Rylenn's intrest. "What are you hoping to make natural?" His head tilted ever so slightly. This was interesting, but not near as interesting as his classes in magic..

"Pour it in here, slowly. Not too much. What we want is the color to change from blue to transparent. Then we'll know that we're halfway there." he paused, and his eyes grew almost dreamy.
"It's not meant to burn. That was the mistake. Separately the chemicals do nothing than stain and burn away at materials. But it's nothing dangerous. Together though, mixed appropriately and you get a useful compound that removes ink from paper, stains from clothing." he colored, slightly. "It's practical." he admitted.
But to Lorioth, this was magic too.
Frowning, he stared at the lock of hair, shaking his head. "Tie your hair up, will you?" he asked. He pointed to various clips and rubber bands scattered on the surface of the counter next to the one they were using. It distracted him, and he was overly paranoid.
It wouldn't do to have something happen to the boy again.

Rylenn laughed. "If you think that hair is gonna behave, you're sadly mistaken.. I'll try though..." He slipped the liquid into the mixture Lorioth was holding before setting the thing aside and re-pulling his hair up. He went back to mixing and as the mixture went from blue to transparent... the single small lock of hair slipped from the rubberband's clutches and made itself known. "I call it my good luck indicator.." He smirked. "Everytime it falls, something good is about to happen.."
