Before their periods, women experience hormonal changes that cause their emotions and bodies to go a little crazy. For instance, a woman may have a much shorter temper than she normally would. There really is no way to tell if she's having her period unless she tells you, and it's probably not a good idea to ask.
Periods bring about cramps, tiredness, and the occasional weird craving. The cravings are different. I want sweets, and my mom wants salty food, for instance. Again, there's really no way to tell when a woman's having her period, but she may act differently towards you. She may want alone time. Don't take it personally, it'll pass.

Premenstrual syndrome, or PMS, is a term that is used to refer to the symptoms that women get before their period. Not all women have PMS. Some of the women who do have it aren't bothered by it. There are very mild cases and very severe ones. It varies a great deal from woman to woman. However, most women just have mild symptoms that are easily managed.

I get PMS during mine, not before lol But that's just me.
The best way would be to ask but even I feel silly explaining things.
I had to buy tampons and I sent him a few aisles away so I could get them xD
He calls them my 'things I need' xP
