Hello everyone, I am Helianthus annuus you can call me heli for short. I will be hosting the peace festival. First I would like to welcome you to this wonderful place. Since you are here this must mean you are ready for peace.

I would like now like to direct your attention to the rules. Pleas respect the rules and have a good time. We have a security staff in case some do not like to follow the rules. If you see someone not following the rules please contact a staff member. Do not instigate the rule breaker.

If you are hungry please direct your attention to the dining tent. We have a large variety of food and a able staff willing to serve you.

There is a karaoke stage for those interested. Just take turns singing. No mic hoggers please.

You can walk around our fair grounds. Security is not as tight there so we leave it to you to follow the rules.

Here is our sunflower garden. Feel free to pick flowers for a bouquet here (ask me for some). Also if you feel like it you can plant some (donate).

If you wish to donate to the festival send any donations to me and you will be recorded in our donation booth.

Well, I don't know how "wonderful" this will be, but it comes from the heart.

Hello everyone!

Welcome to the Peace Festival. Thank you all for coming.

I want to take a minute to tell you why I've worked so hard to restore peace to our world. I'm going to get a little personal here, so please forgive me in advance.

Those of you who are close to me know that a couple of days ago, my Father-in-law fell critically ill. My husband flew out yesterday to be with his parents, leaving me alone in a place where I don't know anyone.

Last night, my friends on Gaia stayed in touch with me continuously until I went to bed. One friend PM'd me several times during the night. Others involved me in conversations and games in my thread. Even though I'm physically by myself right now, I'm not alone. My friends are as close as my keyboard.

I want you all to look around you. I'm betting most of you have friendships here. Sure, it's a virtual world, but the relationships are real.

That's why this peace is so important to me, and to all of us. We have created a community here, and it's worth preserving. Sure we have reasons to disagree with each other, sure there is and always will be some source of conflict. But it should never go so deep as to divide us.

Maybe we're not all "one big happy family." But we can be a family to each other -- a somewhat dysfunctional family, to be sure, but one that never lets external pressures drive us apart.

Today, let's all make a commitment to re-build what we've lost, to overcome the divisions that now separate us. Let's laugh, sing, and play together. Let's quarrel with one another, pick on each other, tease each other.

But most of all, let's each look around at our circle of friends and give thanks for each other.
