Just a topic for conversation, is all...
On the radio today, the DJ was having people call in to find out what songs best suited their lives if their lives were to be made into a movie. Like, what would be your opening credits song, your closing credits song, any major events that happen in your life... be?
So how about it? What songs best suit your life and why?

Falling For The First Time by the Bare Naked Ladies. - Opening Credits
It shows how contradictory I can be sometimes.
Thunder In Your Heart (band unknown)- Major Event
I can do it! I know I can!
Victory by Bond - Fight Scene
I refuse to lose, and the music just rocks.
Learn To Be Lonely by Minnie Driver - End Credits
I just think it sounds pretty. And true. Sometimes.

Opening Titles: Shadow Stabbing by Cake
Love scene: Witchy Woman by The Eagles (obviously meant for my girlfriend, not me =P)
Fight scene: TNT by AC/DC
Climax: No More Heroes by The Stranglers
End Credits: Straight To Video by Mindless Self-Indulgence
As for why, you'd have to ask my subconcious, really...they fit, but in what ways I have no idea.

*sighs* Well, the searches for the lyrics thus has been a nostalgic and depressing experience. Ah well.
Opening credits: Everybody Wants to Rule the World (by Tears for Fears) ~As for explanation? The first couple of lines sum it up:Quote: Welcome to your life There's no turning back Even while sleep We will find you Acting on your best behaviour Turn your back on mother nature Everybody wants to rule the world It's my own design It's my own remorse Help me to decide Help make the most Of freedom and of pleasure Nothing ever lasts forever Everybody wants to rule the world Insert Song 1: Superhero (by Garrison Starr) ~ reason being is that I spent many a day in my youth dreaming up ways to be a cool, independant superhero. I figured if my superhero chick was always needing a charismatic hero to save her, no one would like her or want to read about her, but vice versa, if she was always saving him, no one would like that either... So... All through my preteen and tween years I spent days in comic books refiguring how I would save the day and make a hero - the right way. (And some may remember this song as coming out right around the time we were in middle school.)Quote: And I don't ever wanna leave my age Yeah, i am a superhero these days Insert Song 2: Changes (by Yes) ~I once used this song as a finale to a series of ... stories. (Which were more like moral and social studies of my friends. And the accuracy of how I determined three of the five main characters' fall from grace brought me to tears when I found they'd happened in real life, long after I'd written it.) Anyway, the song talks about how people change (duh!) and sometimes become what they used to loathe or other people we used to love become people we loathe, but either way, we move on and grow... only through changes. And I could sing this song AT several main occurences in my life... Mostly in spite, but... *shrugs* How emo of me, I'd better stop.Quote: I'm moving through some changes I'll never be the same Something you did touched me There's no one else to blame Closing Credits: Into the Lens (as performed by Yes, originally by The Buggles) ~the song's about memories and the chorus states: "I am a ca-mer-a," over and over. Considering how I resist photos and often draw moments that mean a lot to me... When I say how I feel like my emotions have been canned, I mean put in a manilla folder and filed away to collect dust and become memories, like canned yams.Quote: Taken, taken so easily To pass into glass reality Transform, to transfer, to energy.
