I've finished Legendia and have started Abyss. Legendia is kind of stupid though. sweatdrop

I've only played Symphonia, but I watched my friend play Abyss for around an hour... and that was amazing. xD

Hey, you didn't post Rebirth, Eternia (Destiny II in NA), Tempest or any of the spinoffs in the poll! Well...there is the "one that I haven't listed" option...
Anyways, I liked Abyss the most, but I've only played Phantasia, Destiny, Eternia, Symphonia (duh), Tempest (which was a big let-down)...and most of the Tales of the World mini spinoff series
So...all I really need/want to play are: Destiny 2, Rebirth, Phantasia (Full Voice Edtion), Phantasia (PS1 version), Destiny (remake), and ToW: RM (Radiant Mythology)...so I'll need a PSP of any kind and a Japanese PS2 to play those...or a swap disc/slide card set...and a ton of money (importing can leave a Menos-Grande sized hole in your wallet).

Sadly I have only played Symphonia, though I have watched the anime for Eternia and Phantasia (though I think that was with spanish subtitles...) ...but I don;t think that counts....

It half counts for Phantasia and doesn't really count for Eternia...The Eternia Anime was only somewhat based on the actual storyline and the Phantasia OVA only highlighted the REALLY big events (and those were somewhat skewed)...
The good new for me is that I found Tales of Phantasia (PSX version)...so now all I have to do is understand japanese or use a translation and walkthrough.

Our Tales of Destiny finally arrived two days ago. heart After I've finished Abyss, I'm going straight into that one. It's my hubby's favorite, so he might actually play with me. (He doesn't like ToS and isn't into ToA.)
I've seen screetshots of Rebirth: I want to play it, I've heard Eternia is crap, and I've heard that Legendia is the worst of the series... though I want to play them all to get my own opinion.

Okay, I've played Phantasia, Legendia, Symphonia, and getting into Abyss.
I personally don't understand what's so great about Phantasia. O_o I played the GBA version and it was okay for awhile, but... it's like, the only part of the story that stands out is the ship to Altavista. I can't bring myself to finish the Eternal Sword part now.
Legendia was... meh. I could sympathize with its characters sometimes, but the storyline mostly stank, save for the "Senel's past" bits with Chloe. Chloe's like salt on french fries; she makes scenes better. But... well, 'twas better than Star Ocean 3 and Final Fantasy X, at least.
Symphonia is totally awesome. Only reason I don't play it much anymore is the same reason I don't play Super Mario RPG: they're both so good, I've played them to the point where I either get everything or enough so that I don't care about the rest. 3nodding
Abyss looks good so far... surprisingly serious compared to the rest, though...

I personally love it, it's the first Tales game to have hi-ougis, but I just can't seem to beat Undine as of the moment...(In the meantime...) I really need some method to play the japanese sprite-based PS2 games that have almost no chance of coming stateside...
..As for Phantasia, I just really like the characters...and even through the DeJap SNES translation profanity, I really came to love Klarth and Arche. Plus, in the PSX, PSP and GBA versions, you get another playable character, Suzu Fujibayashi...and since I strongly disliked the name changes to the US GBA version, I decided to go for the Jap. PSX version...

"Don't believe everything you hear" I think the ToE (Eternia/Destiny II) US localization was ALMOST pure crap, so I don't play with voices...Another not so realted happy thing is that I finally went back to Destiny and got to the mid-ending! Also, ToD2 PSP will be released on 2/15 and it'll reach me 7-9 days later!

I'm planning to buy Tales of the World (: Radiant Mythology) when it comes stateside...luckily, I have an indefinitely-borrowed PSP. But it's my bad luck the tenative release date is 2 days after I board the plane for China...
Lent Abyss to a friend...bad idea, thinking back...I'm going through "free-run withdrawal".
It's kinda boring to go back to ToS after 10 playthroughs and pretty much 100% completion of the game...
Upgrade on where I am:
1 - Tales of Destiny - Just got through Libra IV ( crying ...it was so sad...) - In Radisarol (sp?) again.
2 - Tales of Eternia - 2 hours of gameplay into Celestia.
3 - Tales of Destiny 2 - Never came...*(&* customs...
4 - Tales of Phantasia - Training in Undine's cave...it's a pain to get 100% for each of Cless's skills...
5 - Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 3 - Training for last battle/dungeon...died horribly on last try...that's what I get for not leveling-up Frio and Kyaro...
6 - Tales of the Abyss - Lent it...about to fight the final boss on Very Hard (mania) mode, though...
7 - Tales of Legendia - stopped in the middle of Vaclav's abandoned-lair-place due to extremely slow gameplay
My favorite? So far, it's Destiny, I hope the PS2 Remake will somehow make it stateside...it looks so fun...who cares if it's a 2-d battle ground...Magic casts so fast that it's almost melee!! (Thinks of soloing Philia on single-mode...)
