Though The Game- with all it's addictive wonders, vast sights, wonderous sounds, and naturally strange people who are drawn in- is a place where most people care to spend hours upon end at a time, there are just certain days/times when one who Games simply must step back, log out, and be themselves.

This, for Celia Leiven, was more of a hassle then anything else she could possibly ever think of. Living on her own usually proved harder then one would think, and though the visits from her mother- to bring her groceries and specific neccessities and what have you- were always welcomed, the frequent excuse to check up on the girl were quite annoying. After all, Celia was blind, not mentally incapacitated.

The fact that her day within The Game had not quite gone as she had expected was still fresh within Celia's mind. She was irritated, humiliated, and rather hurt over the matter. Logging out for the day had seemed to be the thing to do, and yet all she could think about was logging back in. Her life, after all, was lived within Larmadia. The most she got to do outside of the Game was venture down the halls, ride the elevators, and maybe once in a while leave the apartment complex with her mother- but never unaccompanied.

Currently, the girl was wandering the halls two floors above where she belonged. She didn't usually care where she went. She had mapped down the elevator buttons to get herself back home, but usually just pressed any random button when she wanted to leave. People in the building didn't seem to mind, though the fact that they usually just steered completely clear of her- unless they were old for some odd reason...- upset her once in a while.

All this, however, wasn't what the walking was for right now. Right now Celia needed to step away from Ventus, and walking seemed to be the only thing that was going to help with the situation- as it was pretty much all she could do anyway.

Tairitsu spilled into the hallway with a wave of muttered curses and complaints, one hand raised to tentatively rub the back of his head. Damn Tao's good aim--and all because of some woman. He would admit he deserved it (since he knew his brother was after Ventus)--but whoever said blood was thicker than water obviously didn't take relationships into account.
But in any case, he wasn't in The Game anymore, so he needed to quit thinking about the trouble he'd gotten Zephyr into and the damage caused to Ventus--dwelling would make him go back in there and make things worse.

The fact he was already moving past the earlier incidents didn't stop him from slamming the door as hard as he could anyway. Tai wasn't sure if his twin would even hear the noise over the noises of The Game, but it helped improve his mood slightly anyway.
He blinked as he turned from the door--noting that there was someone passing by. If he remembered correctly, every time he'd happened to see her, the girl was with her mother due to a sightless gaze. And those missing one sense, were usually more than proficient in the other four. "Sorry for all the racket," he said with a small sigh, "it's not been the best of days."

The commotion that had come from the apartment across from where Celia currently was had made her halt in her tracks. She hadn't meant to stop and listen, but it was one of those things she just couldn't get herself to walk away from. The slamming of the door, however, made her wince, though more due to the fact that she had gotten caught listening in more then anything.

"That's alright." she replied after a moment, nodding a bit in understanding. "I know how you feel in the bad day department." her hand replaced itself against the wall for a moment, her hand trailing to the nearest door and the numbers on it. She fingered the golden digits carefully, working on replacing herself, then turned back to face the newest occupiant of the hallway.

"Must have been real bad for you though." she added, tilting her head just slightly. "To be irritated enough to slam the front door."

He heaved a sigh in the process of trying to return to a sense of calm. Normally he'd have already snapped off some reply about the reason for his state being obvious, but this girl, he almost had to remind himself, could not see the reason why. "My dear brother," Tai informed her, "is upset with me for some reason." He said "some reason," because though he knew and understood why, he honestly couldn't see it as a big deal. Ven wasn't good for anyone anyway, much like Zephyr when Tai was in charge. He was merely...doing Tao a favor. Yes.
"So, he saw it fit to throw a dictionary at my face," he continued, shoving the thoughts away. There was a rather dark bruise stretched across his forehead now, and a bit of a bump too--though luckily his longer hair hid most of it.

Celia winced, catching her lower lip between her teeth at the thought of being pelted with such a heavy and thick book. "You brother sounds like quite the guy." she informed the other, rolling her eyes as if to prove she was being sarcastic.

"I imagine you have quite the mark from the novel of doom." she added, tipping her head a bit to the side. "You might want to put some ice or something on it to keep it from swelling up like a balloon."

Despite the fact that she couldn't see him, the mental image of such a thing made her smile. Currently, Celia had managed to step completely away from Ventus, and couldn't have picked a better time to do as such.

"Well, should you ever have the chance to meet him, make sure you're wearing a helmet, okay?" Tai's words were flat with little to no humor, though he couldn't help but smile slightly anyway. His head tilted to the side at her suggestion, and he nodded a bit in reply even though the movement was lost on the girl.
"Mm. Though, I don't think I'd like to chance getting something else thrown at me by going back in there." It occurred to him that this last statement sounded somewhat like a call for help, which annoyed him--as Tai's pride didn't allow for accepting help from others unless it was a life or death situation normally.
"So I suppose," he added perhaps a bit too hastily, "my sister will receive a visit sooner than she expected."

Celia continued to keep her head tipped to the side, simply seeming to be observing this guy even though she couldn't see him. The haste in his tone all but screamed the fact that he wasn't too fond of the idea of getting help from others, which was alright, because she wasn't one to usually offer her help- for obvious reasons.

"I'm sure your sister will enjoy that." she finally replied, straightening her neck and nodding her head. "Unless, of course, your brother catches her ear first...then perhaps you should heed your own advice and wear a helmet around her." she couldn't help but grin with these teasing words, though she imagined they'd hold less amusement for him.

"I, personally," she continued before any retort could be made, "would head down to the ice machine." she paused, a thoughtful expression tugging at her features. "Which I've never understood...why would you have an ice machine in an apartment complex...isn't that usually for hotels and what not?" it wasn't really a question asked to him, but he was free to answer regardless.

Tai flinched at Celia's teasing statement--she was more correct than she likely meant to be. Takuhi always took Tao's side when the two males got into some disagreement or another. He liked to think it was because she thought the less chaotic of the twins couldn't take care of himself, but as amusing as that was, he doubted it were true.
"On second thought, your suggestion seems to be the better one." Tai nodded firmly to this, then took a few moments to reflect on the question she had thrown out. "Who knows," he answered, waving a hand somewhat dismissively, "maybe that's where the icy b***h that is our landlord recharges her powers for another day of terrorizing the tenants and claiming you never paid the rent yesterday when you know you did."

"That would make a great load of sense." Celia replied, having taken a moment to invision the very idea with what little knowledge she had of what either looked like. Her imagination, however, was more then enough to fill in the blanks as to what said landlord and the ice machine looked like to satisfy the imagery.

"Mayhap we should take the machine out...keep her from recharging. Might save us a great load of grief come this month's rent time." she grinned at this, chuckling at her own joke and carrying on down the hall. Her feet came to a rest once she reached the window at the end, her fingers tracing the glass slowly as she stared without seeing out of it.

"This is probably a really dumb sounding question, but..what's it like outside today? The weather I mean...Is it nice out today? My mother called today...apparently she's not coming to visit and take me out today, so I was wondering if it was a weather issue..."

(...What time of the year is it, anyway--is late fall good? Does it even matter? XD)

Tairitsu nodded quite seriously to Celia's proposed plan even though the movement was lost on the girl. "I like that idea," he replied, heading down the hallway after her at a slightly slower pace, "I just may have to follow up on it." Folding his arms comfortably behind his head, Tai paused a bit off to her right, waiting for her to finish her question before he said anything more.
"'s not 'dumb sounding.'" He assured Celia of this, taking a quick glance out the window himself. He'd been elected to go shopping earlier so he already had a good idea of what the weather was like, but it wouldn't hurt to see if it was still the same.
"'s just cloudy, mostly, but it's damn cold. Seems we might get the first snow of the year later today..."

A disappointed sound was made in the back of Celia's throat. Slowly, she retracted her hand, sighing softly once the appendage was at her side again. "Hum...Perhaps it's time I decided to venture out on my own for a change. I don't have a problem with the cold, and I've never been allowed to go outside in the snow." she was quiet for a moment, as if thinking this fact through. "I hope it does snow."

A smile lifted the corners of her mouth and she nodded a bit. "I think I'll go out. I've never been out without my mother before, it could prove to be quite interesting."

He arched a brow at the girl. He didn't know why but the fact she had never been allowed out in the snow surprised him. Perhaps her mother was afraid she'd slip, but hell, a seeing person could do that. And besides, Celia had just said her mother always accompanied her when she ventured out, so why wouldn't it be all right? Honestly--
Tai blinked and shook his head, frowning at himself and nearly glad the girl couldn't see it (lest she think she was the one being frowned at). Since when did he care? He couldn't remember the last time he truly worried about any person that wasn't one of his siblings or Kaden. Well, maybe it was time to get over that.

"Well..." he started, still trying to work out what to say as he spoke, "Since I have been locked out of my own apartment and I don't want to chance a visit to my psycho sister--" Tai paused briefly and frowned again. Would she think it was just out of pity? Maybe a change or phrasing would help that, because he didn't mean it to be a simple act of pity. "Mind if I join you? You do seem to be one of the tolerable people here that are actually worth talking to."

There had been a brief frown earned from her new-found companion's words. It had sounded as if he was going to suggest going with her out of pity- and that simply wouldn't do. Celia was not one to accept anyone else's pity. It simply just wasn't her way. She was quite capable of taking the elevator down to the lobby and going out on her own, though she did need to stop on her floor first to collect a jacket of some kind, and perhaps some gloves.

Side-tracking thoughts were pushed aside when Tai changed his phrasing, however, and a smile took hold of the girl's lips. Even if she couldn't see him, her eyes drifted in his direction and she nodded with obvious enthusiasm. "I'd love for you to join me." she replied, turning herself towards the elevator's direction and reaching her hands out. "Though, I have to make a stop at my apartment. I don't think I'm quite dressed for snow..."

Groaning, Mel removed her nametag and opened the door to the apartment complex. Her pony tail swung from side to side as she walked up the stairs towards her apartment.

Another long day at work. She hated it when the snotty nosed kids came in and simply browsed the games without even buying something. Of course, she had to keep her eye on them, for fear they would steal something.

Pulling her keys from her pocket, she knew her apartment was on the second floor and it was easy to get to. All she wanted to do right now was get into the game and forget the day she had had.

Finding her apartment, she slipped her key into the lock and turned.
