The plastic park next to the dump had an inch thick coating of snow. Even the swings had piles of snow in their seats, and the slide had a miniature snow drift that the bottom. Oblivion looked over the scene with a hint of disgust. Snow became water, and water was her LEAST favorite thing.

But Walter was overjoyed at the sight. He tugged free of Ice's hand and headed straight for the slide, intent on being the one to knock all of the snow away with his sliding.

"How are the boots working, Oblivion?" Ice asked, looking down at the daemon wearing rubber boots over her paws. They were bright red in color, and pure plastic. Oblivion's tail twitched. At least they kept her feet from getting wet. Her tire wasn't so lucky.

Elle led Desperate slowly by a decorative leash, as though the elephant daemon was a little red wagon. He might as well have been, for asleep upon his back was a little girl child, draped without much modesty. Pudgy thighs and a round face peeked out from the winter coat, trimmed in fur the same as the calf high boots. No matter how she tried, Elle had never been able to get Nisha into a pair of pants.

It had been Aki's suggestion that they go to the park, and not a surprising one at that. The elf had been spending more and more time on her own...personal issues, as Aki said...and Elle was used to taking over the brunt of the chilld care by now.

Pausing upon the path, staggering slightly as Desperate bumped into the backs of her legs, Elle peered at the scene before them. Was that...a robot wearing boots? She raised one hand in a curious wave, smiling at the scattering of people in the park.

"Hiii!!" Walter shouted from the top of the slide, waving at the newcomers before he slid down, slamming into the snow drift and sending it flying. He ran over to them, grinning wildly and covered in snow as he pointed at the elephant. "Is that a daemon?"

"Walter, not all elephants are going to be daemons!" Ice called as she chased after him. "And you should introduce yourself before asking questions."

"I'm Walter, that's 'Blivion." Walter said before pointing to the elephant again. "Is that a daemon?"

Izumi let out of a high pitched squeal as she teetered and tottered on her feet, chasing after Relentless as her daemon tried to find somewhere warm to hide. She loved this interesting weather, curious of the stuff everyone was referring to as snow, but the poor hummingbird was being driven mad by the snow. It was EVIL! When would his precious flowers be back out?

"Don't run too far ahead," Domonic called after her, sighing lightly as he shivered in his heavy coat. "I don't want to lose you in all this white!"

The little toddler stopped and turned on her heel, her long white coat twirling a little bit with her skirt and she smiled cutely, waving a black mittened hand at her guardian. Mismatched eyes were wide with wonder, listening to the sound of the snow crunching beneath her feet as she began to walk again, heading into the park. Everything looked alike in the blanket of colorless flakes, the snow piled on top of nearly everything. She stopped after a moment, noticing a few people further ahead. Someone else had come to play in the snow?

Sleepy, sleepy. It seemed like a good idea to take a walk to clear her head and allow the cold to wake up her senses, but the world of white had only managed to make April feel more dazed and confused than she had in leaving the apartment.

She had stayed up the entire night waiting for Dare to return home, hence her barely conscious state of mind. She sighs inwardly, tugging her bright green scarf up to her chin, almost, but not quite, forgetting that her daemon companion sleeps within its warm folds of fabric. She didn't sleep; why should he?

.. HEY. Don't take it out on me! I tooold you it was a stupid idea! And so was walking in the freezing cold, for that matter!! he retorts loudly. She can barely feel his tiny feet puttering across her shoulder to reattain his comfy bedding spot.

She merely sighs, louder this time, and steadies herself against the nearest solid object, which happens to be one of the posts holding up the swings. Balling a gloved hand, she rubs her colourless eyes and stifles a yawn. The last thing she wants to do is fall asleep in the snow..

Elle had started to nod in response to Walter's question, but Nisha jerked awake at the loud and unfamiliar voice. For a moment, it seemed as though she might forgive the intrusion and relax back into sleep, but a high pitched squeal sealed the deal.

Desperate winced as Nisha tensed, picking her head up slowly. A funny pattern of elephant wrinkles lined her pale cheek, and the girl stared at her surroundings for a moment in absolute apathy.

As it became evident that this was NOT a dream, her tiny face scrunched in anger.

"Yes! He is! This is Desperate, and his girl, Nisha." Elle loved introducing them like that, even if Nisha hated it. She'd heard this park was a good place to go from Aki, apparently Nisha and Samara had met here before. Seemed the elf was right!

Kneeling next to the young Daemon, Elle took Nisha's face in her hands. "No tears, darling. Wake up, go play, and you can have all the yogurt you can eat once were home."

For several long moments, the two simply stared at one another as Nisha weighed the offer. Finally, the girl settled for the shriek just a few seconds longer than Izumi's, but no tears, and slid off the Elephant. She landed on her feet, then on her bottom, and then realized snow was cold.

Elle acted fast to avoid the coming storm. Scooping Nisha up, she planted the girl on a bench...throwing her own coat over it to ward off the chill. "There! Sit tight, and maybe you'll make some friends!"

Elle didn't bother to say 'new' friends. Offering a smile to the other guardians, and a particularly charmed smile at the cute girl in the white coat, Elle sighed. Why couldn't Nisha be that well behaved?!

Nisha glanced first at Walter, then at the tiny humming bird that Desperate was trying so hard to ignore. He was SCARED of little flying things! Oblivion finally caught the girl's interest, and Nisha flapped a hand at the strange mechanical creation...the universal child sign for 'gimme'.

Elle sighed.

Wow it was getting crowded! Ice smiled and watched Walter making friends for a moment before she looked around with a hint of worry. She had actually come here to take a break from searching for Kitsumai. Her poor baby girl was out in this weather... She stopped as she caught sight of the young, not quite teenage girl leaning against the swings. "Are you okay?" She asked her.

Walter cocked his head, watching the two female forgottens curiously as he tried to decide who to talk to first! The one sitting was obviously interested in Oblivion, which he could appreciate. But the other looked more cheerful!

He didn't know what to do! The poor boy was torn between ladies!

Elle shifted, rubbing her hands on her now bare upper arms. Nisha had her coat, and there wasn't much in the way of clothing stores nearby. Just a bookstore and a few coffee shops around the plaza....

Feeling generous, and cold, Elle raised one hand high into the air in demonstration, calling out loud in her 'teacher' voice. "I'm going to go get hot chocolate! Hands up if you want one!" Obviously, the offer was directed at everyone in the area of the part, though Elle had never met the bulk of them before.

April looks up at Ice with bleary eyes, and before she can answer, she yawns into her glove again. "Oh, I am," she assures the elder, straightening up her posture as if reinforcing this affirmation. "Just a little.. tired."

It's then that her scarf rustles and Curiosity's bug-eyed head emerges near April's left collarbone. Hot chocolate! Didjee hear that? She said whoever wants one! When April doesn't react to the daemon's voice in her head, he speaks up a little louder, knowing full well that she heard him the first time. .. well? Put up your hand, you lazy sack of bones, I want some hot chocolate! Come oooon, before she leaves!!

Ice dug out her wallet, pulling out a twenty and a ten, handing it to Elle. "Here, get as many as you can with this? I'm sure we'll all want it either now or later." She glanced at April again, grinning. "With whipped cream?"

"Whipped cream! And chocolate syrup!" Walter called, distracted from the delimma by the promise of snackage. "And cookies!"

"You've already had enough cookies for the day!" Ice replied. He had raided the cookie jar that morning, after all.

"Ahh, sure." Elle was inclined to refuse the money, but some people could be insistant. Plucking only the ten from Ice's offer, she nodded her head in thanks. "I'm Elle, by the way!" Waiting for the return introduction, Elle finally ducked away towards the shops...walking briskly in the chill.

Nisha was staring steadily at Oblivion, hand repeating the insistant gesture. The clock gleamed from the folds of her coat, shining on its golden chain.

Izumi didn't seem to hear anything about the hot chocolate at first, too focused on trying to catch Relentless. Unfortunately, she also wasn't paying attention to where she was going, tripping over something hidden by the snow. The little girl couldn't even react as she went from running to falling, flailing her arms before falling face first into the cold flakes. And for a brief moment, it looked like she disappeared, save for her brown boots and black gloves resting on the ground.

Stupid kid, Relentless hummed, zooming ahead to perch on a thin branch inside of a snowy bush. Domonic still seemed to be a little ways behind them.

"I'm Ice!" Ice called before the girl left.

Now there was a decision. Walter headed for the little girl that had fallen, crouching down beside her with a curious look. "You okay?" He asked, not offering to help her. It was Xana's job to do things like offer.

Oblivion moved a little closer, her eyes captured by the gleaming clock that the little girl wore. It looked tasty...

April appears rather flustered, but regains her footing without too much trouble. She nods at Ice's question, her lips pursed reluctantly. She doesn't have money to pay for her part..

There is a loud snort in her head. Dinnit you see her whip out those bills? The woman's loaded! Let her pay for it!

No! That's extremely rude! is April's horrified reply. She finally allows herself the chance to take in the scene; other children and daemons. The chances of them meeting up by accident were slim to none, but with these odds she could win the lottery, for here they are, four Forgotten pairs.

Tucking stray hair behind her recently pierced ear, April slowly steps forward, each step crunching the snow. A boy and a metal daemon. A girl and an elephant daemon. Another girl and a bird daemon. She registers this systematically, as if filing it away for future reference, as bizarre a trait as this might be.

.. and staring at people isn't? Curiosity snorts aloud, clawing at the scarf he hides in.

Desperate perked up as Elle left, curious and tense. Where was she going?! Lifting his trunk, the very end making tiny pinchy motions, the young elephant shifted from foot to foot. If Elle was gone, that meant...

...that meant he had to watch Nisha.

His trunk deflated, ears flapping sadly. Nisha never listened. Luckily the child was too lazy to walk far on her own...more than likely, she wouldn't leave the bench. Good enough!

In truth, Desperate had more pressing matters. Like his feet. Even the metal Daemon had little shoes on! Lifting his voice in a sad, singsong way, Desperate watched Nisha lure the metallic construction closer. -Shoes shoes shoes shoes....After she breaks you, can I have your shoes?!-
