It was one of those things, those adventures, he simply wanted to be over with; go home, take a nap, do absolutely nothing for a bazillion years... but being of the homeless sort, and a bit 'crazy' in the head, Yua'lopoka Mila was rather aware of his inability to EVER go home.

Sometimes he wasn't even sure where 'home' was anymore. Those were the days he got lost. Really REALLY lost. Today was no real exception from those times he'd experienced ALWAYS so often, it felt.

He was simply thankful to have found a place that was at least nice on the eyes.... VERY nice on the eyes. Nice and green. It was something like nothing he'd ever seen before, as the rogue stood there, staring in a sort of 'awe' at the lands that were known as those of the 'Unity Walkers'.

Not that he'd know what they were.

Sitting in the grass, he simply admired from his decent distance away from the inner pridal lands (afterall, that was where all the big scary lions who might have been keen on attacking him lived..), before sighing.

"It's still no place for a Shaman." he decided, frowning a bit. It was about then, a cold wind blew by, causing the scruffy Yua to shiver without warning, fur sticking up on one side.

"Brrr......." It had been so random, it was easy enough for Yua to dismiss as an occurance of nature, and the work of something of an other-worldly sort.

The young golden lioness had been doing one of her favorite things: fishing. Tui'lian learned it from her father a long time ago, and now fished almost every day instead of hunting. Hunting just took way too much energy, and she hardly ever caught anything anyway. She usually missed and had to do it again, but then all the animals were more alert and it made it even MORE difficult to get one. Too difficult for Tui.

She liked to fish. Fish were nice and dumb. She could dip her tail in, have one bite it, pull it from the water and BAM! Instant meal. And she could do it as often as she wanted, the fish didn't realize their family was being eaten. Tui liked to think the other fish imagined the lost family members were on vacation.

The adolescant lioness was eating one of the fish she had caught when a new smell filled her nose. The scent of someone she had never met before. Grinning she finished off the fish and trotted toards the source of the scent. Soon enough her pale eyes landed on a dark young lion she had never seen before; but he sure was cute! Tui flipped her mane from her eyes and stood up nice and straight as she strode out to greet him.

He probably looked extremely comical standing there in the middle of nowhere with his fur sticking up at a funny angle. Yua couldn't help but -hope- that it would work as a defense mechanism, and that any big lions that wanted to eat him for looming around would laugh really hard at how rediculous he looked so he could run away without getting a chunk bitten out of him.

So far, he'd yet to have gotten to test that theory. However, it seemed Yua's 'company senses' tingled, as his entire posture got extremely rigid, before he looked about, pondering what it was he was to be looking for; a ghost, or something that was living.

The movement of something nice and yellow caused him to almost flail in a comical manner as he turned to look at whatever it was, tripping over onto one side and falling into the grass, one leg sticking out of it in a humerous manner.

Had he any common sense (at least as much as could have existed in his brain), while falling he probably would have yelled "DON'T EAT MEEEE", but instead it came out as some muffled squealch of distressed nature.

In fact, any 'cool' factor he could've EVER had was probably ruined by the one graceful motion that he had made right then. However, Yua only lay in the grass for a moment, before he popped back up to his sitting position to look towards the approaching stranger who had surprised him into idiocy already.

((xDDDDDD This -totally- reminds me of when Bambi saw Feline for the first time after he had grown up. xD Socute~))

The young lioness blinked a few times as he fell all over himself, and laughed softly as she sat across from him. Am I really that attractive? She thought with curiousity before walking a bit further towards him. She sat down in front of him and flashed a smile.

"Hello there." She said, her tail curling around her legs. "Are you alright?" She asked, once again unable to stop herself from giggling a little. "I didn't mean to surprise you. I saw you sitting there and thought I'd be polite and say hello." Her tail beat the ground a few times, as she tilted her head to the side at him. "I've never seen you before. Who are you? Where are you from? Are you part of the Unity Walkers? Do you have any siblings? Are you hungry?" The questions fell from her mouth in a river or words and she grinned. She obviously liked to ask questions, and she was immensely curious about this new cute lion.

WOAH! THERE'S A LION RIGHT THERE!! It seemed how close Tui had gotten in his down-time surprised Yua, as he ALMOST fell right back over again, but moved one of his legs, catching himself before the scenerio was repeated. Following this almost fall, he simply stared at the lioness with this sort of blank expression, while he was trying to get his mind together.

Okay, she was laughing at him, that had to have meant he'd done something funn-.... like falling down and looking like an idiot hadn't been funny. Okay, first mystery solved. Now.....

...

Holywow.... words sure -did- come out of this one quicker than Yua's frazzled mind could keep up with them. Expression contorting a bit as he tried to follow the questions, he lifted a brown paw to rub the top of his head a bit. Man, he sure felt like he was rather slow on the uptake today....

but man.. she -was- kinda cute, and she was talking to HIM. -THAT- was a surprise to him. ... But maybe it was a secret cult that worship-..... Unity Walkers?

"..Ummm.. I -think- I'm okay.." he admitted, half-smiling, and dropping his paw from the top of his head, thwacking his nose in the process. "Ow!"

He pause the answering session to rub his smarted snogging, before racking his brain to figure out the rest of the inquiry. "... Ummm....?" Yua seemed to think for what felt like a very long time, before a slow train of reply started to form, quickening as it went. "I'm Yua.... I'm from -somewhere- that has a lot of lions..." nice and vague, "I don't even know what the Unity Wakers.." Walkers, Yua, Walkers... "are, I have one sibling.." a sort of dark expression, as if he wasn't fond of the idea of having a sibling, "and actually, yes I am."

D'oh. Way to keep yourself nice and secret. Now go blab your favorite color and your darkest secret, and a stalker-manual probably could have been assembled on him. "... And you?"

With another light-hearted giggle, Tui smiled at him and nodded in turn as he answered each of her many questions. "Usually lions I meet can't remember every question I ask." She said, with another smile. "Good job." Yet another giggle followed, and she seemed quite pleased to tell him everything and more he had told her.

"I'm Tui'lian, I have one brother and I'm from the Unity Walkers pride. That's what the Unity Walkers are; a pride of lions." Shes aid with another grin, "I have lotsa family there, but I'm on my own and traveling for a while before I go back. I like to fish and it's one of my main passtimes. And I just ate, so no I'm not that hungry."

Smiling once again Tui tilted her head to the side, her dark tuft of mane falling to the side. "Are you wandering by yourself, too?" She asked, and thank goodness it was just one question this time. She thought she may have to speak a bit slower for this one, he didn't seem very aware at the moment.

There was a sigh of relief as Yua was convinced that he had apparently passed some sort of a test (complete with congratulations)of female-kind. He would presume it was a good thing that one wanted to do for now. But she kept GIGGLING, and it made him wonder if he'd screwed up something interesting again.

As the questions that had been asked to himself were answered, the same blank expression he'd donned on earlier returned, giving him this sort of dumb look on his face.

"... You can fish?"

It was apparently the only thing he'd caught out of EVERYTHING she'd said, a bit of awe in his voice. Yua himself was unable to do such things, and it almost made him jealous. But he wouldn't make any comment on it.

"... By myself?" The most relaxed and nonchalant action he'd managed since coming into sight of this girl, a shrug, followed this repetition of her question.

"Yeah.. I've kinda been doing so since I was quite little.." he admitted.

Tui nodded happily at the inquiry of fishing. "Oh yes, quite well if I may so so." She said with a flick of her tiny mane. "I catch one almost every time I fish. I know a wonderful spot, and I think I still have some fish left over, if you'd like to go there and try it out?"

At his next statement, the golden lioness gave a look almost of pity for him. Imagine, alone almost all your life? Horrible! She was so used to having a gigantic family, aunts and uncles and grandparents, the works! She couldn't imagine being alone for so long. It made her think that perhaps, just maybe, she had taken her own family for granted...

Shaking the thoughts off for now, Tui gave him another large smile. "Yes, I think fishing would be good. Let';s go!" She bounded up and began prancing off through the trees the way she had come, glancing behind to see if he'd follow.

He was rather impressed at the skill the female boasted of having, not doubting such claims in the least. "Sounds like quite a skill you have there. I'd love to give it a shot myself..." there was a pause. Well.. it -was- only water. There wasn't ANYTHING that could go bad.. right? Actually.. those trees might attack him. He'd have to be careful.

However, he noticed he was getting a look. A -strange- look. He didn't recognize it, and it caused him to also make a sort of strange expression. Did he have something on his face, was he getting attacked by a stick in his mane...... WAS THERE A SPIRIT LOOMING OVER HIM?? Looking up, Yua checked for the latter of all suspicions, making fully sure there was nothing there, before looking back to Tui.

Though, it seemed as though she'd shook of whatever it was. "Alright then~" he agreed, rather keen on seeing how this 'fishing' worked, though the number of times he'd EVER came across a fish was -very- few. Yua had barely risen to his feet, when it seemed his companion had turned into a marathon runner, off and ahead of him. "Woah, woah, woah!" he chimed for her to slow down a bit, chasing after her.

((Hey pach~ do you think some kind of luv connection could happen between these two? xD Or is it not in yer plans for Yua? 'cause Tahja is offering up her boy for plottage/babeh-making. 8D Just wanted to ask~))

Tui smiled back at him, pausing for a moment so he could catch up. When he did, Tui smiled once more and started to prance off through the trees. They hadn't gone long when a small pond came into view. Moisture filled the air and to make the scene just perfect, a large and colorful fish jumped from the water, spinning and twirling as it tried to grab a bug. The sun glistened off it's scales before it landed with a 'plop' in the pond.

Tui sat by the waters edge, her tail swishing back and forth like a dogs. "This is one of my favorite fishing spots." She said with a large smile. "And this, my friend, is how I fish." She winked at him before sitting right next to the water, though facing the opposite way. She dipped the tip of her white-tufted tail into the water and began swishing it around slowly. Soion enough, a few curious fish were watching her with large, unblinking eyes. Suddenly one of them swam up and bit her tail. Tui tried not to cringe but hey, they had sharp teeth! She quickly pulled her tail from the water and the fish went flying through the air, landing with a thud not far from Yua. Tui smiled and held her head up proudly.

(( <3 I actually see a pretty good potential for such to happen. *nod* I mean.. they have such -lovely- sparks via RP with their personalities, and I'm having a BLAST RPing these two. <333 No matter what, I'd smack you again for more RP.))

He did well to keep up with her unhindered energy, which, in itself, was the most he'd EVER seen in a person. As they passed through the trees, Yua stopped, looking at them all with suspicion while doing his best to space himself between all of them, not wanting to invade their personal space.

Happily for him, they passed through them quickly, and, in his case, tree-accessory undecorated (those pesky trees liked to attack him, gosh durnit!), the sight which met them as they opened up left the rogue in awe, simply staring at it. That... had been on big colorful slow-mo-fish-scene-from-hollywood fish. He'd never seen anything like it.

Yua found himself staring at the water, before he looked to the female whom spoke to him, a bit of a smile forming on his face (GASP!). "Really?" he chimed, approaching her and sitting a bit of a distance from her side to watch the given demonstration without scaring away the fish -OR- getting hit with a flinging tail.

Cringing for the female when the fish bit into her tail, Yua's paw went instinctively to his own. That HAD to have hurt.. and she -liked- doing this? Wow. He looked at the fish which flopped helplessly on the ground not too far from him, before looking at Tui. "Impressive." he complimented, admiring the beaming lioness.

((8DD I thought so, too! <333 They seem to get along really well. 83 And yes, more RP definitely! xD <33))

Tui'lian smiled so wide her eyes closed, and she looked rather foolish, though she was obviously happy. "Have you ever had fish before?" She asked excitedly, looking at the fish before them. It was flopping all over the place, and Tui put her paw on it so it wouldn't go into the water again. "I just had some, so you can eat this one." She said with an excited nod. "It's really good, and it's so much easier than hunting those stupid prancing things!" She said, meaning gazelle. "You poucne, they run, you wait, they eat, you pounce, they run. Bo-ring!"

With a wiggle of her bum she stood and pushed the now lifeless fish to him. "Go on, eat it! Eat it!" She said, practically bouncing in place. "I hope you like it, it's much easier than hunting." She nodded once more, not realizing she was repeating herself. "And it's fun!"

(( <333 Indeed! <33 ))

Yua's manners told him that it was only courtesy for him to eat the offered gift.. but on the other paw, it also told him it wasn't nice to eat in front of someone else! BAHH! "... You have no idea how badly my mind is contradicting two courtesties that come from manners.." he stated, sliding the fish to him with a paw, turning it over to look at it as Tui repeated herself, rousing a laugh from him.

"You speak a good point of hunting, but it also good to get a bit of variety from one's meals." it was his simple opinion, which he stated carefully. Opinions were known to be offensive. "But I would say you fill the niche you've chosen quite well."

The excitement which came from her bouncing was the last push Yua needed to actually take the dead fish as a meal. It would rot otherwise, and she seemed so excited about it. "And to say, no.. I've never had fish before... " he admitted sheepishly, seeming a bit awkward in how he beant to bite into the fish, watching Tui whom watched him with a sort of focus that made him feel nervous.

However, he forced himself to ignore that, and simply started away at the fish. Bite, rip, swallow, repeat.

Making quick work of what parts of the fish he could eat (leaving behind the skeleton, Yua looked back at Tui, a bit of a nervous smile forming on his face. "It's good."
PostPosted: Sat Jan 13, 2007 6:16 am

Tui nodded happily at him, glad he was speaking more. "True true! Variety is good, and I hunt occasionally, but fishing is my main food source." She was watching him intently as he took a bite, leaning forward and peering at him with large light blue eyes. Once he said it was good, she made a sort of sqeualing sound and giggled. "I'm so glad you like it!"

Tui began cleaning off her still dripping wet tail, hating the feeling of being wet. "Hmmm... My whole family likes the water, but I despise swimming. You just get cold and wet and it's just not a nice feeling. And you could get sick." She said with a nod, shaking her tail off and setting it on the ground once more. She looked over to him, tilting her head to the side. "Do you like to swim?" It seemed she was never without a subject to discuss.

His words were met with more enthusiasm than he would have expected, even from this excitable female. It made him smile. "I can tell so." he beamed, sitting up straight, then looking at the remains of his meal, flipping them back and forth with his paw, trying to figure out what to do with them. Should he just leave it there?

Yua looked up at Tui when her random-information spout started up again, this time about water, and swimming. The adolescent seemed a bit confused by it, his expression reflecting this clearly.

".... I don't swim. I can't recall ever having swam, even." he replied, rubbing a leg with his paw almost in a shifty nervous way. Was it a bad thing if he didn't know how to swim, therefore he couldn't -like- it?

It was then Yua realized just how-far from normal his life had taken him over the process of his traveling times. From here to home, he'd thought he was only a little strange...

but for sure, that was starting to come into a different light to him.
