a way to debunk that is to say:
If that were the case we wouldn't be paying record high prices for oil now. If America wanted all of Iraq's oil, we would have captured Iraq's oil during the Gulf War. We would have also kept half a million troops to protect the fields. The notion is Stupid because all the evidence contradicts the claim.
