To those of you saying that Kikyo is a b***h because she stole Inuyasha from Kagome:
No, she didn't, and you shouldn't use insulting language like that, especially towards a fictional character.

To those of you complaining about Kagome stealing Inuyasha from Kikyo: Whatever faults she possesses, real or imagined, "stealing" Inuyasha is not one of them.

Let's review the history. Inuyasha and Kikyo fell in love. Inuyasha became "taken". Kikyo was murdered by Naraku. Fifty years later, Kagome liberates Inuyasha from his arrow-induced coma and pulls him off the tree. Seeing as Inuyasha's significant other has been dead for five decades, he can be considered for all intents and purposes "up for grabs". She an Inuyasha fall into an obvious but unacknowledged love. Later on, Kikyo gets ressurected as undead terra cotta. She was hooked up with inuyasha when he died, and from her perspective nothing has changed. She eventually, but very, very slowly, gets over the whole "die inuyasha!" phase.

The result is that both girls have full and equal claim to Inuyasha's heart, and from both perspectives the other appears an intruder. Inuyasha, caught between a romantic rock and hard place, still hasn't quite made up his mind, because he's in love with both of them and in some amount of physical danger from both of them. (One girl has a nasty habit of shooting arrows or dragging him off to the underworld that she still might not have gotten out of her system, the other has a tendency to smash his head into the ground with the magical equivalent of a shock-collar).

Whoever you think is "cuter" or less of a b***h, ultimately, it's up to the dog-eared desperado.

Kikyo has a soul, but somebody else is using it (kagome), or at least most of it. Shintoist metaphysics seem to assign a slightly different meaning to the soul, otherwise Kikyo would be mindless (she thinks and talks) and devoid of emotion (revenge and generally being pissed are emotional states which she has displayed).

Certainly a warm living companion is preferable to a chilly revenant of undead pottery, but that ultimately comes down to Inuyasha's choice/preference rather than "claims".

Kagome does have every right to InuYahsa's heart, but InuYasha has every right to see Kikyo, which gives her no right to bash his head into the ground everytime he does. Just 'cause she's dead doesn't mean that he doesn't have to stop loving her, dead people need love too, it's just when he goes a little over the edge and becomes a two-timer, that's Miroku's job. Besides Kagome has died and come back to life so many times she can be considered the living dead too ya know.

Here's a simple illistrartion that would work, but I don't think it would help any.

And the initialization energy from kagome's soul would be needed to reboot Kikyo.

Fine then. Just hate her for the right reasons and remember that she has dibs also.
