More class work. I had to go ahead and photograph a bunch of stuff for National Portfolio day, so voila.

hoorah for national portfolio day! if you want some advice, avoid risd and parsons, because the lines are insane and you miss all the other colleges. Really you're just fishing for advice and opinions there anyway so. D: I waited in line for parsons for an hour and a half, and he really liked my stuff but waaaay too much wait time. Or you could cheat and get your mom to stand in line for you like some kids did. Cheaters.

i totally brought my mom lol.

i narrowed my list down to schools that have animation programs. Parson and Risd weren't priorities.

Hey nice stuff! I suggest when you send in your slides to whichever schools you're sending stuff to that you put in some color work, too. They always want to see color stuff.

By the way, what schools are you applying for?

The curves on that milk jug look to me like you were drawing what you expected to see instead of what was actually there. They are not quite right; where the curves meet the edges there is too much of a corner.

YAY National Portfolio Day! Class work is always the best to show. smile If you have any more figure stuff, show it! smile They like that. NPD always scared me, because I first went there when I was a junior in high school and had hardly any work. They were very mean, but alas, that is how snooty art people usually are. XP I cried all the way home.

But the next year I did a better job and left with few critiques. I was glad I had the experience of going already so I could expect the worst. smile

I might end up going again because I'm not really happy with the school I'm at now... hopefully after another semester I'll like it more. <_<

I did have some color work, there just weren't as many color still life and i didn't want to post them here.

I think i'll be looking at, Cornish College of the Arts, Art institute of Boston, the art school in Laguna Beach and the Rocky Mountain School of art and design.

i was thinking about Ringling in florida, but the 350 dollar application fee and short dead line (jan 15th) sort of got in the way.
