THE GAMEYou are in the town of Zaed, a town surrounded by an uncrossable fence. A number of weapons or "self defense mechanisms" have been left around the town for you to pick up.
You are to move across the town via the map once per turn, extenuating circumstances notwithstanding. Your goal is to find the sniper and kill him. How will you do this? What weapons will you have? Do you even know who the sniper IS yet? It's all up to you. This is battle Royale Meets The GCD Sniper Game.
HOW TO PLAY
This Game is played in rounds. In each round, you will move your character through the town. In the first round, you choose where you would like to start out, but from that round on you can only move a certain number of spaces per round, depending on your character.
At the beginning and end of each round, there will be an update from the GM, or "Game Master", [Q]. This will detail what has ultimately happened on the time table, and what you should be acting out (Yes, this is a role play of sorts).
At the beginning of each round, you will chose where you would like to go given your character specifications, and PM this location to [Q]. Once all PMs are received, Q will update the round, giving information on who found what weapon, who got into what fight, etc., etc.. After the update is given, you will be set to resume game play until the next round starts.
An example of a round would be something like this (very short, since it's an example):
"Baby has moved to A1 and found a butterknife in the snow. Roger moved to C4 and bumped into Matt, who was huddling under a tree for warmth. He had a chainsaw lying near him and was muttering something about black cloaks. The Sniper has moved two squares to the right. Roleplay your experiences."
CHARACTER CREATION
Pretty simple. Tektek an avatar and write-up a little about him/her. I will NOT accept "My avatar". People's avatars change, TekTek's don't. TekTek your own avatar if you want, but it still needs to be a static image.
The bios don't have to be anything fancy, simply "This is Joe, he's an easygoing guy and wears DJs at all times." would be crude, but workable.
The reason I have this step in here is so serious roleplayers can go crazy with it and strategize how they want their character to be like, while normal people could easily just be themselves.
Your character cannot be a god, he is just a normal Gaian. S/he also cannot have any weapons. Remember that when you construct your character, it will affect how many blocks you can move on the map, as well as future actions and perhaps special abilities
wink When you're done, PM this to [Q] with the subject "Sniper", and you'll be in the game. You can't have more than one character at this time, but you can play as yourself.
Signups are over. If you still wish to join in, sometimes there are openings on new rounds. Read those.This is basically the test game, and I'll smooth out the edges depending on how this one goes.
GAMEPLAY
After a round has started and the GM posted, you basically play as you would like in the real Sniper game. You can post as many times as you want, but you can't move out of your block until the next round starts, and you can only move blocks through PM(whether you choose to keep wher eyou move secret or not is up to you).
If there is someone else (including the sniper) in your block, do whatever you feel like! Kill him, join up with him, ignore him, whatever. Just know that the Sniper will probably kill you if you don't do
something.
On that note, if you miss two rounds, you're considered inactive and are pruned.
ALIENS
Despite what you may or may not want to believe, aliens are among us! ninja
Aliens have a special power that every Zaedian knows of - if you kill it, it can answer one yes or no question truthfully.
An alien can be a person, Zaedian, animal, tree, whatever. The thing is, Aliens don't know they're aliens. So yes, you could be an alien! When you go to a block where there is an alien, the GM will say there is an alien in the block. Whether you manage to find out who or what it is and kill it before the next round is up to you. =p
If you are an alien, but you're by yourself in a block, the "this block has an alien it" will not be said. Stay sharp!
[For this game's purpose, Zurg are not considered aliens]
ROUNDS
A new Round starts at 9PM EST every other night. PM [Q] where you will move with the subject of "Move" by 8PM EST on the night of an update(aka new round). You can move to any block touching your's, but you can't "save up" moves if you have more than one block move per turn, so move as much as you can!
ABOUT THE SNIPER
The sniper is a character, wandering around the blocks on the map, once per round. The Sniper's location is kept secret, although whether he moved up, down, left, or right will be said. Also, if he finds an alien or weapon, this too will be said. Meaning, you can track where the sniper has been.
The sniper has a movement of one block per round. But he has a special ability to, instead of moving, kill one person within two blocks of him with his sniper rifle. This is an either/or. When a sniper shoots someone in an update, it cannot be blocked.
To defeat the sniper, you must get in his block. When you accomplish this you will fight with him. Whether or not you win is based on your character's bio, weapon, what the sniper was doing, and a dice roll made by myself.

If you end up in the same block as the sniper and don't have a weapon... You better hope I roll really crappily.
