[Continued from Kingdom of Aroshia, Page 4]
Amira walked alongside Vieno in the wide plains. It was about midday now, and they weren't even halfway to Nubai. "..I have a feeling we'll need to set up a camp unless we want to walk all night." She spoke, taking a bite out of an apple. The one she had stolen earlier.

"Perhaps. But, since we don't have anything...'setting up camp' is pretty much just going to be sleeping on the ground. It'll take hardly any time to set up. We can keep going until it's just about to get dark." Vieno said. "Are you tired?" he asked her, looking over at Amira as they walked. He probably could walk all night if he wanted to. But, he had to realize that his strength and vitality was probably greater than Amira's. "If you are tired, we can stop now if you'd like." he offered.

"I'm getting tired...But not too tired yet." She said, nodding. "Don't worry about it. I'll tell you when I'm too tired to go on." She smiled and nodded, moving a bit closer. These open plains were horribly dangerous. It was good to have someone to protect her.

"Alright." Vieno replied, nodding a little himself. He felt that familiar warmth rise in his face as Amira moved closer. He could tell it was only so she would feel safer. The plains were notorious for the many monsters it contained.

They walked on for another hour or so, until Amira finally collapsed onto her knees. "I think...we should stop here." She said, yawning slightly. "I definately need to rest..."

Vieno simply sat down cross-legged on the ground as Amira said she needed to rest. "Okay. I'll keep watch for as long as I can." Vieno said, so perhaps Amira would feel alright sleeping in this dangerous place. When, or if, he fell asleep, he was a very light sleeper.

She nodded, curling on the ground. Her hair fell over her face as she whispered a goodnight to him. She soon after fell asleep.

"'Night." Vieno replied, looking down at her as he said it. He then began to gaze around the open field, watching out for monsters. He rested his hand on his hilt, so he would be ready. He had a feeling something was going to attack in the night.

Yellow eyes peered our from a large bush behind Vieno and the sleeping Amira. A large beast, with rough fur and pointed ears lept out of the bush, growling at the man, completely ignoring the sleeping one. It had a long snout, and very sharp teeth. It's claws were very keen as well. It seemed to be a dog of somesort, but more of a wolf. It advanced a few steps, still growling and barking at Vieno.

Vieno sprang to his feet and drew his sword. He held it in a defensive stance, noticing how the beast seemed to be interested in just him. Why? Still, he moved so he could protect Amira easier. He kept his eyes locked on the wolfish monster.

The beast growled, lunging at him. The wolf bit at his arm, and then lept back. It growled and stayed facing him, barking loudly.

Vieno went to defend with the sword, but the wolf had sunk its teeth into his left arm as he did so. He shouted in pain, but did not clutch at his arm. The injury was bleeding, he could feel blood run down his arm and drip onto the ground. He went at the wolf, swinging his sword in a diagonal arc.

The wolf leapt out of the way, glaring at the man. It barked and moved over to Amira, sniffing her.

Vieno didn't know whether to remain where he was or to attack the wolf. If he attacked, he could possibly agitate the wolf further into harming Amira. If he remained still, Amira could still be harmed by the wolf. Tense, he stood his ground, his eyes never leaving the wolf for a second.
