So, after years of oogling pretty Fa'e (OK, 1 1/2-2, STFU!), and trying to think of a solid concept I.... Actually am not like most, I nearly quit. The past idea, Makoto, the spirit of Murasame, I just couldn't flesh well, and I thought with the great ideas people had, there'd be nothing I could find, untill...

Lost Children. Fa'e. Well, shoot, I thought, and then Psyren said "ENTER! You can do it!" so I had to research. Seeing such little Norse-dom, and a raging love of the Celts and Japanese, I said "WELL HAY, LET'S GO NORDIC".

Thor kinda threw his hammer at my brain, and I pulled out the Concept I now wish to love, share, and if need be evolve, TOMAS. Lawlz.

He's going to beat me with a hammer.

Lost Child

Fa'e Name: Tomas (Not Toma, as I sometimes typo.)

Type: Nordic Mythbase, Thor.

Height: Probably around 5'6.

Appearance: If I had 100% say? XD Red hair, with a long, thin braid down one side (Think a Padawan), blue eyes, usually wears a weightlifter's belt. Nonetheless he keeps a hammer, usually a sledge hammer, or a war hammer if he can get one, and wears a pendant of a war hammer as well. (Such pendants were once thought to invoke the protection of Thor.) He also has a moustache attached to a goatee, somthing like a beatnik, but MUCH thicker. Beyond that, he'd wear very plain iron gloves, that'd look kinda like a robot's hand, atleast, when he's working out with his father, and very plain clothes, in browns and silvers. His usual outfit would be a tunic, and if he ever gets a chance, it'd be leather, with fur lining. None o' dat high colour girly junk would actually apply, actually (Unless later in life he got a gift), as Tomas is more or less a bit of a fighter than a pretty boy. As for physique, Tomas is BUILT like a deisel engine. He works out frequently, and practices throwing hammers for fun-- leading him to have a very strong upper body. Not quite a body builder, although he does look quite a bit intimidating.

When he gets older he'll have a neat, tidy beard, tied into two braids, peaking, at his oldest phase, around the length of Dumbledore's. He'll also pick up armour, the sort typical of a viking (Minus the helmet). He's still a buff old bugger -- as an elder he would look as close to a Muscle builder as he'll get.

Good Points: He's a rather loyal, brute of a man who's prone to protecting family and friends, but not excessively, even though at times he'll go all out to defend an ideal. He's kind of open to taking travellers in, even if they look like a total idiot. All the same he's jovial, good natured, and friendly. He's also a goat lover, and tries to keep two goats at any given tim. He also tries to be atleast nice to other females, and he has a very heavy warrior mindset. He can be serious, but he can be jovial, too.

Bad Points: TOMAS. HATES. SNAKES. He either wishes for them to be removed, or to kill them, primarily due to the fact Thor was killed by the world's biggest snake. Tomas's also... A bit too rowdy and territorial. He'll throw wild parties if able and his own powers, namely, causing thunder and lightening, would cause alot of complaints. Especially since he really doesn't listen to anyone but those close to him. REALLY close. His temper is explosive and dangerious. FEAR the hammer. Tomas is a known overeater, despite his exercise routine, much to his Guardian's chagrin, and he's... Stupid enough to take most bets. Tomas also has a habit to pick fights with people taller than he is-- As formor protector from the Giants, Tomas has kept a deep, inexplicable dislike of strangers taller than he is and will often act up. His warrior mindset also blinds him sometimes -- he can't stand anyone who acts helpless beyond the age of a toddler, although he's slightly better when it comes to children and will try to atleast help them grow up to be -respectable- in his book. He believes the only fair death for himself is in GLORIOUS COMBAT, and thinks dying of old age, or illness, is fairly intolerable. He also drinks. Run.

Powers:

Primary
Lightening Creation: Any hammer Tomas throws can actually cause a bolt of lightening to strike. Tomas can't control where the lightening lands, however as he gets better at throwing his hammer, the lightening will be more prone to striking the target. Usually the lightening is present with every hammer strike, except soft ones. It occurs occasionally in a medium strike.

Secondary
Thunder: Tomas can use his hammer to create thunder. This is more residual of the lightening, and almost always occurs unless he's just tapping the hammer lightly. This is more of a show of noise.

Strength: Tomas works out, so that is layered with his slight (very slight) strength inscrease from his life as Thor. Most people could easily mistake it for steroids treatment.

Goats: OK, this is a GAG--somewhat. Tomas can, as long as the bones are not broken, kill, and eat his two pet Goats, then put them back together the next morning and revive them, as Thor did with his two. However if this does come up he'll likely do it by accident and scare himself. XD So this is iffy (Like the Strength one).

------

Second Gen Fa'e

Would not snub if this was offered. XD;

Fa'e Name: Tomas

Type: Nordic Mythbase, Thor.

Height: Probably around 5'6 at his peak.

Appearance: Pretty much mix of the parents.

And his personality would be the same. Growth level in stages for you.

Baby- Not loud, though Thunder would set him off to making noise, as would the sight of a snake (Screaming in the latter case. OW.). Tomas would stare frequently, mostly because he demands attention. He's also NOT shy. He'll grab most people by the finger, or something, just to get doted on. Socially he's a bit slow on the uptake, but he means well. No powers would manifest themselves yet.

Toddler- HE WILL GRAB YOUR SQUEAKY HAMMER. Thor will begin to hit things, and some people wih any hammer shaped object, grab skin/hair/fur, ETC, and generally be something of a terror if left unchecked. If he sees snakes, he'll start screaming and run away, but he's still slow on the uptake socially (He doesn't understand anyone disliking him). Negative attention will, understandably, upset and confuse him, and he's yet to learn the word "No". Tall people, 6 foot and up, will make him somewhat paranoid and irritable (his guardian may recieve LESS irritability, being Mama, but he'll be slightly unhappy wth it). He's also beginning to show signs of being stronger than he looks, and start latching onto goats. Sometime here he'll be getting his hammer pendant.

Child- Tomas will play with sledgehammers. He's starting to eat more than before. He's slowly getting the difference between friend and enemy now, but still gullible (Or stupid) enough to attempt a Double Dog Dare. He begins to actively try to kill snakes now, mostly with stones, and he may even fight with a few taller people, ranging 6 feet and up. He's starting to practice THROWING his hammer now, resulting in thunder, anbd into his later child months, lightening. By now he'll be getting some goat babies.

Teen- Thor'll begin filling out, and his strength is DEFINAITELY manifested. He now has a beard beginning, and a braid in his hair. He still eats alot, and he's discovered MEAD and other alchohols. He's definaitely figured out hammer strike = Thunder/Lightening, and begins developing his ability to recall hammers. Actually gets social interaction on a normal basis, but he's still stupid enough to do dares. Sigh. He also now actively tries to hammer most snakes to death, and picks fights with most people taller than him if he feels they wronged him or others. This would be when he starts breaking things... Like walls. >_<

Youth: He's big, he's bad, he's... Still honing his power. All show and no bite, per se. His beard (And has begun getting braided! <3) and hair has grown, and he's very muscular now. Still hates snakes-- he will still try to kill them, actively, or taunt one, and he likes to show off more. Dares STILL don't bother him, no matter how dangerious. He still picks fights with tall folk, too. Roar. By now he'd find himself a right proper chariot-- and then make his poor goats pull it. D: TOMAS WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU, BOY.

Adult: More power, and probably more mature, we hope. He's solidly a mead addict now, and his appetite FINALLY levels out. He's finally getting a grasp of this strength thing (I don't care how squishy it is, we do not SQUISH it) and... Yup. Still does dare and whatnot. Sigh. His hammer is even deadlier now, but not yet mastered. (It probably smacks his skull at times on retrieval when he's showing off. XD) Still does dares. Still goards/fights snakes. Still picks fights. Gotta love Tomas. Oh, and his beard grew longer. And stuff.

Elder- AW s**t, HE'S ACTUALLY FULLY POWERED AND SKILLED. RUN, RUN NOW. Still hates snakes/fights with them/goads them. Still takes dares, but much less than pre-adulthood. Still picks fights with taller people. MUCH bulkier in muscle now, too.

Ancient- Uh huuuh. Major MAYBE. I wanna see he develops first.
Powers:

Same as Lost Child. THUNDAR, OOAAARRR. :O

The Story behind it all....

Having not read the Eddas, my info comes from the Net. Particularly, Wiki. 8D So I work with what I have. <3

Thor, the God of Thunder and Lightening, was as many of the Gods, the child of Odin, Jord. He was red haired and bore a matching beard.

His people loved him. Unlike his father Odin, he did not ask human sacrifice of his followers. His deeds were that of guarding Midgard and Asgard from the Giants. Of his adventures, there were many. This was Thor. This was the Thunder God. This what what the people knew; for Thior was Aesir. Aesir were to be trusted.

Thus, it lasted for many long years, as he travelled with his goats Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjóstr, the pulling force of his flying chariot. Thor was indeed a warrior, bearing the hammer Mjolnir with the belt Megingjord, and iron gloves. In this fashion Thor became the most famous of the Gods, even more than his father, lord of the Aesir.

Thor's tales were many, as he did battle with the giants, and the enemies of the Aesir, and returned to his wife Sif.

But not even the Mighty Thor could escape his fate, as predicted long ago. And that is where the largest portion of this story begins. After all, one need not retell what is known, assuredly.

They were powerless to stop it, really-- and the Gods knew their fate was to die gloriously in the final battle, Ragnarok, in the field Vigrid. And Thor knew he would not live to save his father. Still, Thor performed his tasks, saving the worthy of Midgard, defending the humans and gods alike from the Giants.

Fimbulwinter came. It was a cold one, colder than any of the Gods knew; colder than any previously seen winter, and the three winters came all at once. Thor watched as the wars ensued; his people calling his name. And a deep remorse filled the god, as he watched his people perish. He could do nothing; for Fimbulwinter was as predicted. It was destiny, and he prepared for his final battle.

One day, the Winter stopped. Sol and Mani fled as Skoll and Hati gave chase, the wolves hungering. And they were caught, and devoured, as the stars disappeared.

Midgard plunged into Darkness, as Eggther's harp rung true. Thor arose for his final battle as Gullinkambi crowed. Thor thus bore Mjolnir, and breathed.

The final battle had come, and there was no lesser glory short of falling in battle. This day, he would perish, battling the Serpant Jormundgandir. And Thus, Thor followed Odin in his chariot to the field, and as fortold, his enemy attacked.

Thor knew it was coming. Immediately, the two locked in battle, Jormungandir biting at him as the venom fell about him as they fought. Finally, Mjolnir struck home, and the beast was killed. Watching the snake fall, Thor stepped back but nine steps, and fell.

The God of Thunder was dead; his sons took the hammer Mjolnir, and his body was burned to nothing in the destruction of Surtr's blade of flame.

But the soul is, and always has been, immortal. And the spirit of Thor could not move on. Even as the nine worlds moved on, the God of Thunder existed; and his memory was not forgotten.

He had perished honourably in battle, and even as all moved as prophecized, his spirit could not rest, for even as the worlds were peaceful, Thor felt a need to protect.

And his spirit waited to find a way.

Lost Child Family/Guardian

Name: Dr. William Chorus

Age: 40. He was 25 when he found Tomas.

Species: Human (Genetically altered)

Appearance: Blue hair. In the back it's haphazardly cropped short, and his bangs are long, to his chin, and slit down the middle, framing is face. He wars glasses (Like Gaian Emo Glasses), and has violet eyes. His skin is exceptionally pale, and he burns easily. Dr. Chorus normally wears a pressed shirt, tie, and labcoat.

Personality: Timid. Chorus frightens easily for a scientist, and he is often jumpy or timid in a frightening situation. He's also very warm and friendly, trying to support both his children safely. Chorus often chastises Tomas for overeating, and often hs to help his son make the right descision. Often has his nose stuck in some book. Chorus lost his wife after his daughter was born, and never wished to Re-marry. It's suspected there's some extraterrestrial in Chorus' DNA.

Role: Father and Guardian.

-

Name: Amelia Chorus

Age: 19

Species: Human (Genetically altered)

Appearance: Short, chop-cut dyed green hair (Naturakl colour is dirty blonde), blue eyes. Usually wears rave clothes and headphones.

Personality: LOUD. Not as loud as Tomas, but the two can often cause noise, and lots of it. Unlike Tomas, Amelia is an introvert, and somewhat of a troublemaker. She also owns a motorcycle. Vroom vroom.

Role: Sibling (Adopted)

Lost Child World Notes: The world Tomas grew up in is an alternate, futuristic Earth. Aliens have come, and technology dominates all. The world is very well lit-- neon lights and blbs flash everywhere. Very few places are untouched-- places of historic or religious note (Like the Vatican) are, however, still preserved. Thankfully, looking close to human, Tomas blends in well, except for his constant carriage of his hammer, which sets him out. Insert Sci Fi setting of your choice, and add relish, really.

------------------

2nd Generation Fa'e (If a miracle occurs!)

While I plan for a Lost Child, I won't turn my nose up if he was second generation (Or whichever) and had all of his phases. His Gaian Guardian, thus, follows.

Name: Minuet (AKA: Novastrike, AKA me. XD)

Age: OLD.

Species: Extraterrestrial Robot :O

Appearance: Generally, she has green hair and blue eyes. Other flavours vary, although she's quite tall (7'0) which obviously would bother Tomas a bit as an infant at first. Nova is pretty much lacking a screw or two, unless there's need to buckle down. She, being a warrior exiled from her home planet, doesn't seem to function well in normal situations-- or just doesn't want to bother. She's hitched, and has a massive litter, both adopted and biological.

Oh, and we might want to mention that she's somewhat out of her mind at times.

Role: Mother, Guardian, Crazy MoFo

....You actually got convinced to try for a Fa'e?

Yeah, after alot of insisting from a friend of mine that I have the talent/skill to RP one. I don't buy it 100%, but I love Tomas' concept too much. My confidence is zip usually, but hey, I'll try anyhow ^^.

Why Thor?

Thor's fun? I also was reading a webcomic at the time with Thor in it. Thor's pretty pwn, if not a little LESS than wise in his choice of buddies.

Also, I think Thor's plain awesome, and he totally pwns my idea of using Min the Lettuce/Fertility God, or some musical God. What amazed me is that noone DID Thor. Thor's plain wicked, man, though I ALMOST did the winter God, or Baldr.

Tomas sounds an awful lot like Thomas.

I know, it was odd, yet totally wicked. I got it from http://www.babynames.com. Pretty slick if you ask me, and suprisingly, according to them, it IS Scandinavian.

He doesn't have many powers?

Well, his biggest thing was the hammer and strength. He could revive his goats too, but they were SPESHOL. And hammers are fun. I'm flexible on powers. The Lightening skillz stay.

Will he have many NPCs?

EEehhh... Probably not? At most I'd not mind NPCing the spirits of some of the other Aesir, but I don't want to deprive anyone of a chance to get a Norse God or Goddess! Especially Odin. He's cool too. Though a REALLY neat Fa'e I wanna see if Fenrir/Fenrisulfr, or the Midgard Serpantwho'snameIconstantlyforgetforbeingbadwithnames. That'd be cool.

But Tomas would eventually end up with atleast Thor's servant as an NPC, for certain.

I bet you lack plotbunnies.

HAH. I am the plotbunny generator. OF DOOM.

So is Tomas stupid?

More like... Slow on the uptake sometimes. He likes showing off and he's a little used to doting from when he was Thor, as well as being a "popular" god.

His flaws are alot of personality flaws....

He's far from perfect. He isn't invulnerable. What can kill a man can kill Thor, usually. Nordic gods COULD, afterall, die. He's also terribly afraid of snakes. Hey, one killed him.

Hey, I wanna quest for a Fa'e concept that's got a major tie to Thor (Sif, the Goats, prettymuchanythingdirectlyasdsociatedwithThoronly), would that bug you?

Heck no. o_O Gimmie a heads up, I'll probably be waqnting to ping plotbunnies around. There's only one real NPC for Thor I HAVE to have, and thats his servant later on. Otherwise, go for it. biggrin

Is there anything exclusive to Tomas you want?

.....o_O Me? Exclusive? 0_o;;; Actually, exclusiveness would make me feel kind of ackward. Although I genuinely really WANT to keep the whole blunt force = Thunder/lightening thing, I'm not the sort to say "OMFG THAT'S TOMAS' POWER RAWR! D<" because I really don't wanna make anyone feel discouraged. It's supposed to be fun around here for everyone.

D= Does Tomas have any traits he'd practice due to being Nordic?

Well, since I doubt Tomas knows about being Thor for a long time, especially as a Lost Child, he actually has aq couple habits of a Thor Worshipper. One such thing is his pendant. Since they were said to symbolize Thor's protection (Read: Resemble Mjollnir) he actually wears one. Not because he worship's Thor, but he feels more comfortable with one of any metal. Also, I have a small list of Nordic holidays, one of which is known as Thurseblot, or Thor's Feast. He actually celebrates, if not subconciously, though not so much the others. Since Scandinavia became Christian, he practices a modern Christian sort of religion.... Although he's like some of the Early Norse Christians and still has some "pagan" practices too, namely, his hammer pendant.

There is someone who wanted to quest Mjollnir, so, I actually don't have plans for Mjollnir because I want to see this quest come to light too. biggrin So believe it or not, Tomas wouldn't actively look for the hammer.

OK, so if Tomas doesn't search out Mjollnir, will he have a hammer at ALL? D: Does this rule out any thoughts you have of possibly sending him on the Path of Ancients?! D<

I actually want to see the direction Tomas goes in through RPing him. If he does reclaim his path as Thor, he probably wouldn't have the hammer, since 1. According to Legend, Mjollnir is inherited by his sons, and 2. Someone told me they wanted to make a quest for Mjollnir.

He'd still be Thor, all the same. :3

More as soon as someone asks a question to note.

You're worried because he was killed during Ragnarok? Well, spirits do have to die to be reborn as Fa'e, after all, so that's not anything to worry about... unless you're referring to something else and I need to drink some coffee or something burning_eyes

More worried about the fact I didn't follow to Ragnorok to the Exact, but I think I will, so I'll take a short time to re-write and update his tale before I throw him back out for Critique/stamping. XD
