Actually, we have already seen the Doctor's final regeneration. In the Colin Baker story "Trial Of A Time Lord" the lawyer for the prosecution is the Valeyard, who is said to be the 13th Doctor and personifies all the negative aspects of the Doctor's personality.

When we get to thirteen TimeLord Mythos will be changed.... They can't have the doctor on his Final Regen, that would ruin the show which magically keeps going forever and ever.

Could they bring back The Master? Probably. Will they... probably not in the near future.

Actually, the Master referred to the Valeyard as being "Somewhere between your 12th and final incarnation."

So we can infer that the Doctor somehow exceeded the limit of 13. They were already setting up a precedent to break the rule for the Doctor long ago. blaugh

...sorry, I am such a who geek. I know it. rofl

Edit - As for the Master, after that hideous portrayal of him in the film, I really hope they let him alone. Give us a new ultimate evil dude.

I hope they bring him back, if only for one episode. It would be nice to see another timelord again.

OK, my apologies for getting it wrong! sweatdrop Bearing in mind we don't know if the Master survivied the Time War, but the Doctor said he would know if any other Time Lords had survived, I think we can assume he won't be back...

The Doctor can be wrong about the Time War, and he have an overlong but interesting story arc explaining how and why he was wrong, and what is up with the Time Lords now.

Then we bring back "The Master". God, i can't get used to that. The only Master I know of has a satyr sidekick named Torgo.

LOL No big. I only have the exact quote because I have Trial of a Timelord on my computer! rofl I looked it up to check the wording.

What I hated about the Master in that movie was how they killed his character. In the classic series, he was the villain you loved to hate. He was evil but sometimes you almost couldn't help rooting for him.
In the movie, they took all that away and made him a straight evil, cliche villain. They killed my Master. scream

If they bring him back the way he was meant to be, I'd be happy. However, last time I heard, they were considering the movie as Canon which means the Master is dead...for good.

As for other time lords, I fully expect the Face of Bo to tell the Doctor he isn't the last, that there are other time lords hidden out somewhere, or maybe he'll tell him how to get them back. I can't wait for that episode. I REALLY want to know what great secret the Face has been keeping for him.

GAH!! gonk When does season 3 start????

Excuse my ignorance, but who is the Master?

I think if they brought in another timelord, it would make the Doctor
s head explode because for two seasons we've seen him drone on about how he's the last of his kind.

Here you go, a Wiki link to the villain we all know and love to hate. blaugh

Who is the Master?? Click here.

or if you're one of those who's paranoid of clicking links, go to Wiki and type in Master (Doctor Who). That will take you right to the page.

The reason why i want the master back.

Did you know that Tom Baker (former Doctor who for those who dont know) has told the team at BBC that if they do bring the master back, he wants to try out for the part.

This is why i want the master back. I mean how cool would that be. A former Doctor playing the Doctors greatest villan!

I don't really want the master back, time for a new super-villain. But if it means Tom Baker gets a chance to play the part, sure! I'd rather he played someone else but it would be great to have baker back on the show.

Thanks for the link. Now I have to say that some Time Lord vs. Time Lord Action would be pretty cool. Especially if they got a former Doctor to play him.
