Agile paws were the only things keeping her from falling now. Her tail tried to stay up but fear was keeping it down, gripping the branch of the acacia tree. Her violet eyes kept on the branch under her as she pressed forth. Since leaving the jungle, she was a bit....lost of how she was to sleep in these small weak things called trees. She could hardly sleep as of late because of it and found herself grooming herself more and more and nodding off when doing so. Limbua was out to find Amile, she was sure that he had run off to this place, but it was so crowded with so many animals, where was she going to find her friend? With a sigh, she just kept on moving.

The little female had just woken up from a rather rough night in the Pride Lands border, give or take a mile or more. The branches were weak and well, it was just hard to know if they could support her or not. Slowly she moved herself to the trunk, easing herself onto it with claws extended. The bark felt different too. On the ground, she placed her rump down and started to groom. Her daily routine. There were a lot of males out here. Already she had met Dangayo and Mufasa, those two were sweet ones. Well, to her anyways.

She was starting to get hungry...she had not hunted anything but the rare occasional rodents that she may find and that was it. It was hard for her to hunt anything but fishes and the only places she knew where to find them were in rivers. The water hole was too large and the fish would just swim to the middle where she, herself, could not reach them. Her belly grumbled as she groaned against the tree.

"Shhh...I'll feed you soon. Stop making that noise..."

She complained as she leaned against the tree. She was starting to get homesick.

The adolescent lion tossed his head, flipping what mane he had out of his eyes. How did has father deal with having so much of one? Just this bit what annoying!

His gaze clear for the moment, Nyoe narrowed his eyes against the glare of the morning sun and looked out across the savannah. He could do with something to eat soon. What I wouldn't give for a few frogs right now,, he thought with a sigh. It was much too dry out here for his favorite food to be hopping around in any kind of abundance.

...there was, however, something purple and yellow moving around over by that tree. What in the world was purple and yellow? His aunt had some green, but he'd never seen purple anywhere other than her eyes and some plants.

Curious, he strode towards the little mystery.

With a soft moan, she got to her feet, stretching out her limbs before they lock up for whatever the reason they did the other day. Looking up in the tree made her eyes hurt, it didn't block as much sun as the trees in the jungle did. This place was just too hot for her. The place was just so...different. How could Amile figure she'd come out here? Hah! Show how much he knew about her. Apparently not much.

She circled the tree again and looked around. Now...which direction was the water hole again? Was it this way....or was it that way? She paused and saw something heading to her. Hmm...wonder what that could be. It took her a while to actually noticed it. It was just a big brown blob in the distance. Now what did she know was brown and blob...ish? No one.

She was told many a times to stay away from strangers and what better place than up in a tree? She slowly backed away and moved to the acacia. Limbua was feeling a bit strange, frightened perhaps? Quickly, her leopard blood pumped in her veins carrying her up to a few branches from the bottom, staying as out of sight as possible. Who was coming to her?

Seeing the brightly-colored animal disappear as he approached, Nyoe frowned and paused, his rounded ears falling back. What a bummer! Still, he came closer, under the shade of the tree, and peered up, sniffing.

Frustrated, he rose up on his hind legs, thunking his forepaws against the treetrunk so that he could 'stand' and have some added height. "Now where could it have gone?" he muttered to himself, clearly disappointed. "It was purple..."

"Who are you? What do you want?"

A voice called down to him. Limbua remained up in the tree, past some leaves and clinging to a branch. Her tail laid upon her back where it could not be seen or hanging over the end. By the sound of the voice that called back up to her, it was a male. Peering through the leaves, it was quite the handsome lion too. At least, that is what she thought.

"What do you want, sir? I may come out if you are nice."

She chuckled to herself as the leaves rustled. Strangely, she wanted to just jump out and meet him. After all, no male would dare harm a female, right? Males were suppose to protect them and love them and just be the nice one. Right?

"I'm Nyoe," he answered, trying unsuccessfully to peer through the leaves. "I just wanted to see you. I've never seen anyone purple before. I didn't know anyone could be purple." It was honest curiosity.

She manuevered herself carefully around the branches and hopped down the other side. Moving around the base she peered at him. He was quite handsome and he seemed nice too.

"My name's Limbua, and I'm not so much as purple as you'd think."

She smiled and sat herself down, paws laced and tail around her paws. She was always one to make herself presentable to anyone. She was of some class being a daughter of a God. Though, she hoped no one would pick that up. Was her father's reputation well known?

"So, Nyoe, you came here to see me? Am I all that special? or is there something else you'd like to tell me."

When her head turned to look away for a moment a sharp pain hit her head, causing her to jerk back to him.

"Swamp?"

"Well, I'm really looking for my name," he replied, "But I saw you and I wanted to know what you were." Nyoe sniffed in the cub's direction. "What are you, anyway? I haven't seen a tail like yours before. Does that make you a leopard?"

At her one-word question, he eyed her with confusion. "I'm..from the swamp, yes. I guess I smell like it." The adolescent bent his head, sniffing his own leg. "Have you been there?"

"My mommy's a leopard."

She replied a bit quizzically. What did that have to do with anything?

"Oh, did you lose your name or something? Nyoe isn't it? You just told me your name so that is what it is right?"

Her head cocked a bit a she moved closer to him. He smelt like swamp? That is strange. Moving closer, she wanted to smell the swampe too. It smelt wet...very wet and stinky too. Was that the swamp or a male's sweat or something....carefully, she moved away as polite as possible and sat herself down again.

"Nope, never been there before. It smells back."

"So that makes you a leopard too. My mother's a lion, and I'm a lion." Cubs were strange things, and Nyoe didn't quite understand them.

"Oh, no, I haven't lost it. Nyoe's my cub name. I'm looking for my real name, the one I'm supposed to have forever," he explained.

"It doesn't smell bad," he defended, ears falling back. "Just different."

Limbua chuckled.

"I guess, by Daddy's nothing like mommy. He's so big and fuffy. He's just so....well, he's just great."

She just gave a childish giggle and let it out into a louder one. Calming down she looked at him.

"But Nyoe, if that is your cub name, what do you mean when you say your real name? To me you are Nyoe. To others you are Nyoe. If that is your cub name. Then, why use a real name?"

"You smell nice sort of, but the swamp must smell worse!"

"Fluffy?" Nyoe tilted his head, befuddled. "I didn't think leopards were fluffy. Are they?"

"It's..it's the name I'm supposed to have. The one that is me. That's when I'll be grown up," he said with a nod.

"The swamp doesn't smell bad! It just...smells like swamp, and swamp is good. It's home."

"Daddy is fluffy! Mommy is soft, but Daddy is fluffy!"

She chuckled to herself. And got herself closer, no longer, well trying to, mind the smell of the swamp. At least it gave him a distinct smell....

"So you are looking for you name? Do you know how you are suppose to find it? Or where? What is the point of all this?"

She asked, looking up to him with big violet eyes.
