Even though this doesn't concern me(I am a guy), I want to state this. People say abortion is wrong, because it kill a helpless unborn child(True) and I do believe that most cases should not alow abortion. However, people say not at all, which is a little messed up because what if someone was sexualy assualted and ended up pregnant?
It wouldn't be fair to the inpregnant person, who never asked for it. So, for those you in here who think its wrong or feels its wrong, (those who got pregnant by force), you don't need to think that, but you do what you want, regardless of what others think.
(Probably not making much sense.) sweatdrop

I don't mean to sound like a b***h, but this section of the guild is not for debating. This is a place where people can come for advice. I'm sure the people who are in vulnerable situations, don't want to have to debate here, or see things that can make them feel bad about their decisions. Please take any debates to suitable subforums, ED, GD, or other debate guilds.

Agreed with Mipsy. This isn't the place, not is starting a debate for the sake of debate neccessary. I'm sure somewhere in the history of this guild you can find a nice, long, drawn out existing debate... it doesn't need to be done again.

I'm not going to give my opinion on abortion as it may upset people in the guild, but I just felt like sharing a story.
When my mother was 20, she was raped by a guy she was dating. She later found out she was pregnant and decided to keep it. I'm sure it was the most difficult decision she had to make, but if she hadn't, my older brother wouldn't be here today...

My apologies. Well, if I could move it, I would. Just want to state that even if abortion is wrong in others eyes, doesn't mean its wrong.

Today, in my countrie(Portugal) theres going to be done a referendum to legalize abortion. In my opinion i would say yes to the legalization. Not only because people here in Portugal do abortions in clinics with really bad conditions(clandestines), , and also because an unwanted baby would live unhappy... I would never have the courage to make an abortion....but i've never been in a position that i had to decide...so i say yes to the legalization of it... but i think i wouldn't do it.
sorry for my strange english lol

I see this as one of those subjects that can go round and round and round on the moral issue of it and still won't get very far.
As for the legality of it, I consider it an issue of safety. How many people would get illegal abortions if a legal one wasn't an option?
