Registry
Welcome everyone.... You're here because a little bird told you to... am I right?
Well to make things easier on you and myself, I've moved this lovely little updating thread to the Registry Guild itself.
Here you may post:
New kats (adults/babies)
Updated kats
* Please note after 7/1/05 any existing links needed updated to a new link will be a surcharge of 100G per link. Each time it happens the amount goes higher. To avoid this trouble please save your pets to the same address. It saves time and stress on both our parts.
I will accept some updates to other servers, but rarely. I am a compassionate person, but I can take only so much in one fell swoop.
'Remember: If your pet is not Registered... it is illegal. Any stars listed beside your pets will result in your failure for a happy family between pets. Please get your pets Registered. Save the stress for other things.

Mintaka's Submission Guide
Here's a spiffy little guide about submitting, and things to double-check before doing so!
01) Make sure all the information is accurate. Especially egg slots! Don't know how many if you have an old card? Check the Faekat Thread under Generations for the gen of your pet, and subtract 1 egg per kid they had that YOU kept. Blessings from Demi-goddesses or the two goddesses available will not count.
02) Please note UPDATED links v. NEW additions. New additions require adding it in, while link updates simply require the url changed. Much faster and less "duplication" when we know which is which.
And when you submit, please don't post the image - it slows down the page load, and forces Rein or myself to have to check the properties for the URL. Please use the following format to make things easier per each kat.
Addition/Update/Star-Related:
linkhere
FULL NAME (Race)
Example
Update
http://g.ajora.net/faekats/halcyon.jpg
Halcyon Thanatos Acaciel (Baddie)
Addition: Means it's never been in the registry before.
Update: Link change only, has no "legal" issues. Use for updates that are ONLY a change in link and NOT related to stars/legality of the kat. If it's changing AND has stars, see below.
Star-Reltaed: Means we need to remove a star, be it 1, 2, or 3. We MUST verify that the problem in question is fixed before removal. If this is also a link change, please mark Update/Star-Related ... if the link IS the same as the submitted link already there, please ONLY use Star-Related. This saves us copying a link and updating it when we only need to edit the stars.
That format makes it easier to get the link to put in, the FULL NAME [if it's named Halcyon Thanatos Acaciel, put all that, not just Halcyon - "last name" and other parts of names go in the registry too, and count towards alphabetization] and then include the race so we know what color it needs to be so we can set that up while your image loads. [And no, the name doesn't have to be in all caps, I'm just making sure people see that fact.]
Also note that link = the thing you put between image tags, just in case you're not sure. Make sure no image tags are around. It makes life 100000x easier. Especially for those of us on slower connections.
And yes, we DO check them and inaccurate cards will either NOT be added, or added and marked illegal. And YOU will be responsible for updating it correctly!
Thank you all for your time, and please -- make sure all your kats are in, and updated, and verify them yourselves in here on a regular basis.

PS: Freaks should be on new cards, and their race whatever race they are on their freak card. Please note when submitting a full-blood freak that it IS a Freak as they have their own section.

Mintaka's Guide to Non-Changing Links
This can also be titled:
How to save Mintaka & Rein's sanity in a few easy steps and save you gold.
That said, I'm sure you wonder how some fo us manage to never need to resubmit links when a kat grows or otherwise changes. I used to do it on Photobucket, and that's a whole lot easier then FTPing like I do now. I do understand not everyone can use Photoshop and layers to keep different versions of one card in 1 file, but this works off multiple jpgs, and can work for every hoster in some form. I'll use Photobucket, but most free host providers allow for file-name changes.
In photobucket on an image, there's a little button called Edit ... and if you click it it ahs some options. The first is related to the editing of the name. Let's take Justine as an example. She's currently naked and named justine.jpg. But I have a card with ehr dressed now, on my computer named justine01.jpg.
01. Browse your PB to justine.jpg
02. Either delete the file, or Edit and rename it to something different then justine or justine01 - such as justine-old01, etc.
03. Upload justine01.jpg
04. Edit the newly uploaded justine01.jpg, and rename it to justine.jpg
Ta-da! Now in the registry, when I click on Justine, I will see her updated card, AND I have the OLD card uploaded as a different name in case I need it, or saved to my hard drive in case I should need it and can re-upload as I need.
Whatever your MOST recent is, keep it the same image name as what's in the registry. Then you won't have to change, and this works for kids who are growing up. Want an example of mine? Watch Triptych or Demise. Both are not done growing but will remain at the same links.
Generally I name them after the kat, such as justine or demise [I prefer jpg over png becuase they're smaller and load faster] or in a few cases Sailor Veus is venus.jpg and Seraph Lamington is lamington.jpg ... the idea is the same. This will save everyone headaches, and save you money and Rein & I [and everyone else] a LOT of work. Because link updating is a pain to do.
