Many people have laid out the same basic points:
~It's getting old and repetitive, yet people complain about game changes.
~Everyone knows each other.
~No one can agree on rules.
~Sheeping is a problem.
After looking at those, I realized something. Nothing is wrong with the game itself. It's almost a year old (which I'll talk about later), and it still exists. That's a lot to say for something like this. The problem lies with the PEOPLE. We see the same faces, over and over. That's where the redundancy starts. If we can do something about THIS problem, maybe we won't have to change the game and be drama llamas. dramallama
So, if the people are the problem, what is the solution? Get new people, of course! biggrin
Basically, I'm proposing a mass-advertising campaign. With our 500x500 signatures, we would flood the GCD. Please note that I am not talking about SPAM. mad D SPAM IS BAD IN THE GCD. All of you are big kids; you know how to follow rules and discuss. With the massive amount of linked signature ads, many GCDers are sure to click them. We would post in every thread, with our SUSPICIOUS discussion skills. Heck, we could even go to the GD. But they don't like links there. ninja
For this to properly work, though, we would have to be ready. We wouldn't put the ads in our signatures until we were. In order to be ready, we have to have a GM. We have to pull our act together, grow up, and ACT like we know how to be civil. We need to organize. In case you were unaware, the game becomes a year old on February 1st.
In order to "organize", I recommend:
~Not changing the game until we see how this works
~Spamming a little less in the Sniped D, and making more topics that have points. (I don't have anything against the pointless topics, but the newcomers might. <3)
~Making pretty signature advertisements. I made THIS recently. ;D
~I posted this in a different thread:

I think all apps need to include how you are planning to run the game (like rule changes, among other things). It is possible that those two items (writing and runniung) could be voted on separately. A possible place to go from there could be the election of a Story-GM and a Running-GM. The running GM could take care of all technical aspects (sign-ups, the mass of PMs, and rules), while the Story-GM could do what they apparently do best: WRITING!
YAY FOR HAVING GOOD UPDATES AND RULES THAT PEOPLE AGREE WITH. heart heart heart
If the same person wins both elections, then they will be the one GM.
LAWLZ JUST AN IDEA~

~Read this thread. I'm not sure if it looks familiar or not, but it's a great way to see how the game started. ;D Read through game ONE. That was before anyone knew each other. Back then, everything wasn't nearly as serious. If we can emulate that and get back into that mindset, the game would likely be a lot more fun. Seriously. Bring back the white text! Bring back "SUSPICIOUS!" and "OR IS IT?" Go on, make alliances!
~Slow down, tiger. ;D As I stated before, the SG's birthday is in less than a month. Wouldn't it be great to have an anniversary game? Let it be one of memories and fun, yet leaving room for new beginnings. We'll get lots of new people, and we can get into the suspicious spirit! Lawlz white text. ;D If you read this, you should feel special <3 ILU.
Cadet Particle summed up the necessary mentality PERFECTLY.

See, that's one of the biggest problems of all. Making the game interesting enough so people will read the whole update; chat about it in AIM, YIM, and Skype; scribble down ideas all over every piece of paper on their desk ("Oh noes, my history homework has SUSPICIOUS written all over it!"); make alliences and assumptions; etc etc ETTTT CETTTTRA.
These things, the activies of a TRUE gamers, should be available to everybody, no matter how short the attention span. But here's the ringer: How?
