Noyana was finally able to get up and run around the Pridelands. They were a vast place full of things to see and do, everything amazed her. Today, her emerald eyes scanned the horizon for something to do... Anything would do, really. A passing bird cast its shadow on her, and she watched it happily. She did wish, however, that whatever she may find on this day would be able to play with her. If she couldn't have that though, she would maybe go swimming, or pouncing. She bounced down the slight hill she was standing on to go out and face the world, delighted at the newness of everything.
Before long, something white caught her eye. It was the first creature of the day, and she just had to go meet it.

Amaterasu was free of the pups for a day, and glad to have it. She intended on just meandering somewhere particularly dazzling and sitting, watching the day go by. Perhaps laying down and taking a nap. Whatever the case, she intended on being at peace, and relaxing, she hadn't had the chance for quite a while. Her sons were so lovable, but they were also draining for a single mother. Amaterasu spotted a shady spot and plopped herself into the grass, content to just exist. She sighed and watched the world go by, or rather, come to her.
A little way in the distance she say a green tail with a fuzzy black tip sticking out of the grass. Amaterasu was too tired to get up, she let whatever it was come to her.

That little tail belonged to Noyana. She kind of liked how it was green, it looked like a plant. Or so she thought. In reality, anyone could tell it wasn't a stalk of tall grass, or any other type of plant for that matter. However, Noyana strictly believed that her tail looked like a plant, and always held it high in the air when she was trying to be sneaky.
Noyana spotted through the jagged walls of grass the white thing. Whatever it was, it wasn't a lion. Noyana crouched down low, absent-mindedly letting her tail sink below the level of the real grass, and pounced straight at Amaterasu.

Amaterasu felt something hit her flank. Hard. She turned her head to see what it was. Her silver eyes met with emerald ones, embedded in the playful face of a young pridelander lion. Ammy smiled and rose, "Hello little one. Having a good day? I'm Amaterasu," Ammy introduced. Never in her life had the maned wolf seen a more colorful lioness. She hadn't seen such markings either, swirls and dots inside... Very unique. She'd remember this individual, she was sure.

Noyana smiled. It was a friendly white thing... it looked to be an adult white thing too. Most adults would have been angry with her if she pounced them while they were resting. This was a very tolerant creature, whatever it was.
Noyana paused to contemplate it. She had never seen any other creatures besides lions, though her mother and father said there were other kinds that looked completely different.
To be honest, Noyana couldn't see that much of a difference in her and the white thing. They both had two ears, two eyes, a nose, a mouth, a voice, a mind... Only she was a different shape!
Noyana crouched down and waved her tail happily. "I'm Noyana. I'll bet I scared you, huh?" Yana asked, hoping the thing said she had been startled.

Amaterasu took a liking to the female. She acted like Ammy's pups, both of which were boys.
"Yes, you're very tough," Amaterasu chuckled, bringing her head down to the cub's level. "You live in the Pridelands, I assume?" Amaterasu asked. She hoped the cub wasn't lost.

"Yup, I'm a pridelander," Noyana said proudly as she puffed out her chest.
She liked that the white thing had called her tough. Yana wasn't like other females. They were wussy and mushy. Who liked mushy stuff? Noyana didn't usually hang out with other female cubs for that reason. She prefered the company of her brothers or other little male cubs. They were tough, and really knew how to play.
Back to the matter at hand, Noyana had to know what the white thing was so she could tell her brothers that she fearlessly pounced on one.
"Amaterasu... What are you?" Noyana asked suddenly and innocently.

Ammy chuckled. "I'm a Maned Wolf," Amaterasu informed the cub. "And you are a lion," she continued. "But we are both pridelanders. I live here, so do my sons," Ammy said. "I think you'd like them. They play rough sometimes, but not always." She looked into the cub's face, and hoped she understood. Maybe one day she could invite the cub to play with her own sons.

Noyana's ears perked up at the mention of sons. She liked to play wrestle and such, she wondered if Maned wolf pups were as strong as lion cubs... A fun thing to test!
"You're the first Maned Wolf I've ever seen," Noyana told Amaterasu. "Am I the first lion you've ever seen?" She asked, sitting down and tilting her head.

Amaterasu giggled lightly. "No, little one. I have seen other lions before," she said with a nod. "But, I have been around a little longer than you," Ammy winked at the cub.
To Noyana's comment on being the first maned wolf, Ammy said, "Don't get used to seeing us around. There aren't many, despite the beauty of this place." She turned her attention for a moment at the landscape that she never tired of, then back to the cub. "Who're your parents?" Ammy chaged the topic.

Noyana felt bad for the wolf... Not many of her creature? She personally couldn't imagine being the only lioness around the area... It would be a hard life. Maybe that was why she had had pups, to see more of her kind around? She knew the queen hung around with a wolf like this one, but she didn't know much more than that when it came to these animals. Noyana didn't want to delve into Ammy's personal life too much, so she dropped the topic.
"My daddy's Mika'il and my mommy's Na'ilah, why do you ask?" Noyana said before adding randomly, "Wanna wrestle?" with a hopeful look. She did hope to test the wolf's strength, though she was only a cub.

"To see if I've ever met them," Ammy answered. She predicted the cub's next question. "And I haven't. I should meet them sometime," Amaterasu said to the cub.
The wolf gave the little lioness a strange, pondering look. A female wanted to wrestle... while there was nothing wrong with that, Ammy didn't see that often. She smiled at the cub's charisma. "Of course I'll wrestle," Ammy said, lowering the front half of her body in the typical canine-play posture. She pounced the lioness and it wasn't long before she realized that, as an adult, at least, she could pin her. She let the lioness work some before Ammy pinned her, giving the lioness the impression that it would have been hard to do.
"Looks like you've won!" Amaterasu said with a chuckle.
"It's getting late," Ammy said, to the cub. "You should probably head home. Do you know how to get there yourself?"

Noyana had fought her hardest without using her claws. She had growled and used all of her mass to try to win, but she honestly didn't expect to have done so. "You're a good wrestler, Ammy the Maned Wolf." Noyana said cheerily before Amaterasu continued.
"Oh..." Noyana said disappointedly. Maybe sometime she could meet up with the maned wolf again, and take her to visit her parents! That would work out well.
"I guess I should get going," Noyana said, catching the hint. "Nice to meet you Amaterasu!" Noyana said as she turned and bounded through the tall grass, her green tail with the fuzzy black tip bobbling above the grass as she bounded off.

Amaterasu hoped she could meet up with the cub again in the future. Noyana reminded her of a young Ammy. Full of life, and a bit of a tom-boy. She wouldn't mind meeting up with the cub again.
All of the excitement over, Ammy repositioned herself in her grass bed and drowzed. She'd need the energy for her sons the next day.
