 She awoke to the sound of silence, shifting beneath the blankets that had been piled around she and her sister before they had gone to bed. The people on two legs had tucked them in and told them to sleep... And they had, because they were tired if not for any other reason.
But now was no longer the time for sleep. Now was the time to wake up and explore... Because what else was there to do when everything was still?
She wriggled free of the blankets, carefully stepping over her sister as she nudged the flap of the teepee open with her nose. There was a layer of white fluff on the ground. White fluff that she had never seen before and could not quite recall seeing before. She leaned down, touching her nose to it only to pull back immediately. That stuff was cold!

 She didn't wake until she heard her sister moving about. Wiggling around and huffing for a few moments she managed to untangle herself from the blankets and stand up. What was her sister doing and why was she letting in all that cold.
Nudging her sister aside she peeked outside and looked at the white over the ground. She leaned down and instead of sticking her nose in it she licked some of the white off the ground. It bit back at her but it was tasty.
She looked at her sister before sneaking out of the teepee and into the snow. It wasn't that cold as long as kept moving. Nickering she turned and looked back at her sister wondering why she wasn't out playing too.

Wait... The Fluffy Stuff was edible? Her eyes went wide as she saw her sister scoop up a mouthful and not fall over. Why hadn't she thought of that?
She tilted her head down, snuffling at the snow before closing her mouth around a bit of it. It tasted... Cold. And then, suddenly, it began to taste alot like that water stuff. Well that wasn't any fun.
She huffed as she trotted out of the teepee after her sister, looking down as the white stuff gathered around her hooves. Ack! She didn't want it on her hooves! She kicked, tossing snow in her sister's direction.

She was fine with the stuff all over the place but when a clump of it hit her nose from her sister's hooves she snorted. That wasn't fair. Kicking one leg out she sent some of the snow back at her sister. She could have her snow back.

She nickered as she dodged the bit of snow kicked in her direction, prancing around to the other side of the teepee... All was fine and dandy until her stomach rumbled, eyes going wide as she tilted her head to look towards it. When it grumbled again she realized something... It usually did that right before Strong Arms With Apples came with food.
Foooood. Her mind became one track as she began sniffing around, trying to find something edible.

She hopped after her sister as she went sniffing around the place that kept them warm. What was she looking for? Something smelt good too. Sticking her nose into the snow she tried to find out what it was.
It smelt like those crunchy things that the big one fed them.

Yes... Crunchy things that tasted very good. He'd given them slices of it at a time but she'd seen him hand a whole one over to Bright Colors. Maybe... If they found them... They'd get a whole one to themselves now!
She continued to nose around, finding herself stopped short by a teepee flap that had been tied shut. She whined, trying to nudge it with her nose. Noo... She was being kept from the things that smelled edible.
