Found out on the 6th that I'm 5 weeks pregnant. Keeping it, looking for a job, fiance is going to get another job that has overtime(while overtime sucks, he gets paid alot for it so we're putting all overtime money away)and better pay. We're getting married as soon as we can(probably when we planned)but I'm looking for some free health care places to get an exam to see if everything is okay.
I'm going to tell our families after 20 weeks when the rate for miscarriage drops so no one gets too excited, I'd hate for that to happen.
I know this is a bad situation but I'm posting here because I'll need everyone's support. I think I have all the advice we need/have for now but I'll ask if need be.
Oh, the condom broke.

Since no one else has bothered, I'll be the first to say 'congratulations.' biggrin
You sound like you're already preparing, so good for you! From the looks of it, there's nothing bad about this situation other then it may be earlier then you wanted. So if you get negative feedback, just let it glide off your back and keep positive. People are too judgemental and quick to find fault anyway.

Thanks, everyone!
I'm so scared because we're not really prepared for this but everything is moving so fast(like Mike's new job)that it looks okay. I'm just taking it easy and relaxing as much as I can right now.
I hope our families take it as well as most of our friends have. sweatdrop

Congrats if you dont have much income and live in the states you should look into the government medicaid for pregnant women programs they will pay for everything. Also it is based only on your income so your fiance's income wont factor in at all. Also alot of dontors take it so you will have choices and wont have to go to the free clinic the whole time.

Oh man! Right when you decided you wanted to wait! Well, congrats anyway. At least it's been something you've been thinking long and hard on anyway.
Get on WIC, for sure. That has nothing to do with being married... it's all about income, and if we can get it, I know you can. They provide some small courses about pregnancy and infants, as well as vouchers you use at grocery stores for healthy food for you while you're pregnant, and then things like formula, baby food, juice, beans/cheese, milk etc. when the baby is born, and I think you can stay on it until they're 3? Could be wrong, but Rowan's 2-1/2, and I could be on it still if I wanted to be. Just look in the phonebook and WIC (Women, Infants and Children) shouldn't be too hard to find.
Seems like you're doing the smart thing with money, so again, congrats to you. See if you can't pick up "What to Expect When You're Expecting" too. It's a fantastic, very informative book.

Great^_^ I'm going to get some numbers and call tomorrow! Thankyou soo much! Mike will only be making $9 at this new place but there's loads of room for advancement and after the probation period, the pay goes up(at LEAST to $12, I hope). At his current job, the raises are $.05 and there's no advancemend, which sucks. Badly. @King Cannabis: xD Yus you can! But we're mooching and were 18 and 19 so we can't be hyprocrites! xD But thanks!

I got married at 5 months and was covered for my whole pregnancy.
