i use tribal decks but don't really like using or playing against them. a very good example of stupid tribal is slivers, wizard, and barbarian. slivers...nuff said, wizards they are weak but incredibly annoying, all of them. and this is just my example. (i just have a problem with barbarians) they are all pretty much the same. higher power then toughness and most have first-strike. now i know for a fact that tribal decks are very good in some cases. but honestly? tribal makes the game one bad, repetetive turn after another. make comments plz....or show examples for or against what i just said....if you felt like reading it all

Ya i dont care for tribal decks. They seem pretty boring and all you need is protection from that one creature type and usually they all have the same color so you just need protection from that one color. Personally I like Mill/Control decks usually white and blue. They can usually destroy tribal decks. Any creature based deck is usually easily beaten though some may disagree.

I play mostly tribal decks, but so does everyone I play with. I have played both, and in the non-tribal it is all about the correct combo of cards coming into play. With a tribal, anyone with any expierence can play it cause all the cards work together. The worst I have played against is my friend's Elf deck. *shudders* and you say Wizards are bad.

You have good points, though as a counter-point allow me to bring up the thrulls from fallen empires. While all thrulls, they have different abilities from creature enhancement to throw-away blockers to creature removal. While all black, they can be made incrementally more effective with the addition of a color or two. Their low color cost (generally one black plus however many colorless) makes them effective in rainbow decks. Even with all that there are numerous ways to stop them short.

To really have fun with tribes, you gotta try the older ones... Rebels are fun... Nomads too. A really interesting ones is Heros or Walls razz It's great to see the look on somebody's face when they get their head pounded in by a Sunweb rofl

wellwisher i use tribal decks but don't really like using or playing against them. It's amusing that someone with the username of one of the most blatantly annoying tribal card ever would dislike them so. On the topic, I think a lot of tribal decks that have an interesting spin can be very effective. For example, goblins are great for swarming, but a Thrashing Wumpus or Magmasaur could easily destroy all of your creatures. So add sacrificial cards like Last Ditch Effort, or the infamous Skirk Fire Marshall. The key to good tribal is creativity. Also, choosing interesting tribes can be surprisingly good. One of my favorite decks ever was a Squirrel tribal/token deck I built(mono green). It took a few mana producers to speed up, but it had a good amount of protection and got very powerful in the stretch. Lots of tribal decks are considered cheap, but are easily defeated by creature destruction/control decks. My personal least favorite is a w/b cleric combo. You wouldn't beleive the amount of damage prevention.

worfle It's amusing that someone with the username of one of the most blatantly annoying tribal card ever would dislike them so. that is besides the point. oh and if you want to use thrulls in a tribal deck why on earth would you rainbow deck them? anyways, the onslaught block pretty much brought along too many tribal based effects slapped onto creatures. take the wellwisher (i know. that is my username. deal with it scream ) really only works if you can get a lot of elves. goblins are slightly better because they have the difference of not helping you equal to the number of goblins as much. tribal decks, although somethimes fun i agree, are pretty easy to combat against though. what was that old black enchantment that gave -1/-1 to a creature type of your choice? anyways that was a fun way to wipe out anything smaller then a three toughness (cause of other spells and stuff)
