Zaini moved through the southlands in a careful, slinking walk. She was avoiding her father at all costs, and praying she didn't run into anyone else she knew. Or that knew her family. She was worried, her stomach had begun to swell and she could only guess she knew what that meant. Bad news. Really bad news, and news she couldn't let her dad get wind of.
What was she going to do? She whined softly to herself, dark eyes flickering over the savanna.

White paws cracked as Akamichi sniffed at the water before him, not really wanting to lean over and lap at it or anything. He wasn't entirely all that thirsty right now and all he wanted to do was lay there with the sun on his red back. It felt nice not to have to worry about the flees that were certainly crawling all through his dirty fur.
He didn't give off the appearance of being disgusting or anything. He just looked a little rough around the edges of his white like always.
"AAAKKAAA" Came a scream to his left as the little meerkat he looked after flailed in the water. She really was fairly useless, but then she only had thee legs, so what could he expect really?
Standing slowly on his white legs, the red husky marked trotted into the water and grabbed her, flinging her back out onto the dirt smoothly. "Stop doing that." Was his only gruff response. ninja

Her ears perked and her eyes narrowed, tail flicking to the right. Her gaze tumbled over some of the land, and her eyes darted right past the watering hole. They skittered back to it after a minute and she let her paws carry her that way.
She was coming the the bank just left of the two, her ears lightly pressed against her skull and her swollen body crouched down slightly. It didn't matter, she already knew she was downwind.
Another maned wolf, one she knew nothing of, and a... rodent? Zaini squinted at it, foccusing on figuring out what it was.

"Well hello over there!" Isis bellowed over in her little meerkat voice. Her eyes wide as her only upper leg flailed in the air in a wave.
"ISIS!" Her 'father' all but hissed at her, bi-colored eyes flashing dangerously as the large maned wolf bared his bright white fangs. Both of his eyes flashed over towards the adult female to his left and he didn't let emotion fall over his face. He didn't want trouble and he didn't want the little meerkat to insult anyone at all. That was all they needed right now. ninja

Zaini found herself chuckling at the little thing, still not knowing what it was. Her eyes darted to the other maned wolf, there were too many males around here, and her laughing stopped. He sure seemed up tight. She moved again to the water's edge and started to lap some up, not sure what to say to the two after the little thing's show of friendliness and the male's show of guardenness. She sat back, staring at her reflection.
"Excuse me.." She glanced sideways at the pair. "But where are we in refrence to the pridelands?"

Bounding out of Akamichi's reach, Isis bounced up to the other maned wolf and wagged her tiny meerkat tail. "The Pride Lands? DAAAADD!!?? Where are the pridelands!?" The little meerkat called back over at the large red and white maned wolf she'd just run from.
Rolling his eyes and shaking his head, Aka rolled both of his shoulders and let a smile grace his white muzzle for a moment. "The pridelands are a little bit north of us. If you look that way," At this Aka pointed past her left shoulder for her, "You can see the stone in the distance, though I do admit it's a little bit of a walk." ninja

She smiled and nodded slowly. "Ah, thank you." So the pridelands were that way... she turned her head to stare at the rock. Her gaze flickered back and her eyes seemed to move along the horizon. Once they stopped she nodded to herself. She thought the area her father and company stayed in was over there. "Alright..." She looked to the opposite direction of pride rock. "Where to go then..." She needed some place good to hide.
"My name is Zaini." She murmered finally, glancing at the two. She should at least show some manners, right?

Nodding his head to the female, Aka smiled once more, politely but a smile none the less. "My name is Akamichi, and this little one is obviously Isis. It's a pleasure." He inclined his red and white head to her and stamped a paw over Isis' tiny muzzle before she could say anything.
"Can I ask if you need any help?" Now that he knew she wasn't a foe, Aka was a little more friendly and a little less gruff. Maybe it was his careful nature, but Aka didn't like to take chances with his 'daughter' being around. ninja

Zaini hesitated but then shook her head. She didn't think she needed any more help, really. "It is a pleasure to meet you Akamichi." She watched he and his 'daughter' a moment and frowned very lightly. She didn't want pups, not at all. He tail lightly pressed against her leg, then curled around it as if she was a feline. "Er.." She didn't know what else to say, though she still wanted the social interaction.
