So as many of us have noticed people have been slowly losing interest in the game. Everyone has different reasons but what are some of the reasons that can be dealt with here in the guild?
Why do a lot of you only vote "for the person above you"?
If you were more interested in the game would you come up with threads saying why so and so should be sheeped?
What could a GM do to make you guys more likely to read an update?
Are there things in the game you want to see removed, possibly added?
These things and more are things that need to be discussed as a guild. This is the point if the thread. What do you like about the game? What do you not like? What do you think should be changed? What would make you more interested?

 more innovations, less bitching
I'd personally like to invole the players in the story a bit more, and have ways to effect the outcome outside of just voting/killing/protecting/etc

Just wondering, what happened to the jailbirds? They were my favorite part.

HOLY CRAP. Nice point.
I completely FORGOT THEY EXISTED.
I believe the last jailbird since Viper or the New Warden was Steven the Cow (game X).

I'd like to see some more interactivity between the players and the story as well. The usual 'vote someone into jail, someone gets sniped, and someone gets CKed' can only be interesting for so long. Also, I find it kind of distressing that a lot of people don't read the story updates. I actually have this really cruel idea to hide really subtle, but potentially helpful clues in the updates just to force people to read them. xd I don't think it would go over well, though.
I also have some other really awesome ideas, but I'm still trying to work them out.

Depending on how long a game might last, there's the potential for there to be more jailed than running around. Something to keep the incarcerated active would be a good idea. Something like the jailvote in spirit if not in, um, body?

I have two good ideas.... ... the first being if over twenty people vote for one of the first votes for no reason other than they can, nobody is jailed that round/the offending voters immediately go inactive... which is evil, but a very good deterrent to blind voting. ^^
The second good idea is removing the bit at the bottom saying the sniped, killed, inactive, and jailed people, and just putting the update up so that people HAVE TO read the updates to know what the ******** is going on. ^^

I like your second idea, and I've always found it very discouraging to have to re-write that tiny summary at the bottom. It is a summary. It tells what happened so you don't have to read. It's evil.
And on your first idea, I wasn't thinking something THAT extreme. XD A while back, I had an idea where in order to vote for someone, you'd have to explain how that person pertains to the clue to vote them, but that seems more like doing work than playing a game. Then again... In clue, you need a reason to prove W killed X with Y in the Z. Or else they're free.
Hrm.

Well how about a rule? You gotta post the word in white font. In the update (word changes everyday) If you don't type it your vote doesn't count. Like this XD Or maybe a white link to the word? To prove the person actually took time.

I personally don't like seeing names in the updates because it can seem like favoritism or people will try to pick on little things in the updates and say "OMGSNIPAR" or "OMGNOTSNIPAR"
But honestly, I don't know what will interest me in the game anymore. After playing since Game 2, I think I'm just tired of it. I think we all can agree that it hasn't been the same since Zae's left or since we went to guild format...but another thing that's happened is just all the drama that's gone on. Between everything, I dunno. I don't really want to play anymore.
Even if I had enough time to GM these days, I wouldn't apply. I just don't really care about the game like I did.

Bellecat The second good idea is removing the bit at the bottom saying the sniped, killed, inactive, and jailed people, and just putting the update up so that people HAVE TO read the updates to know what the ******** is going on. ^^ That's a good idea, The only reason I read that part first cause I was all "Need to find out who's dead" and incase I had little time, not enough to read the whole thing, I could at least read that, and then possibly the clue (for this game at the least) and then think about it (Or not, depending on how I was feeling) during school hours or stuff.
But I might have had a bit more to say if I wasn't so sickly most of the game. gonk Brain didn't wanna connect up the plotting part of my brain. xd
AND GODDAMNIT MUSE GO AWAY. D:< *kicks muse into closet and stuffs the crak at the bottom of the door to make it suffocate* One. more. game. gonk
It's Time to D-D-R!
