Mizu Falls
At the edge of the bamboo forest, it ends suddenly with a large drop-off of a cliff. Its walls are very rigid and steep. Only a professional rock climber could scale these great walls. The drop is roughly 35ft from atop the waterfall to the surface of water. Near the bottom pool of the waterfall is a natural hot spring, where many of the ninjas like to take a soak in after a hard day of training. Vegetation around the waterfalls seems almost tropical in the spring and summer time.

Koro stood at the top of the waterfall, waiting for his students to return. They would probably be exhausted, both physically and mentally. Many of the tests that he laid out for them didn't require a lot of physical strain on their bodies since they had been pushed hard this morning. This last test would be quite interesting. Koro didn't quite know which group would get there first, but they would hopefully be here soon. As the man settled his thoughts, he looked out over the waterfall. The sound of the rushing water was beautiful, especially this time of year when all the birds and other animals were out singing their songs along with it. Taking a deep breath in, Koro fell into a deep relaxation as he waited for his students.

Koro was going to fall asleep soon, so he re-opened his eyes to stare up at the horizon between the trees and the sky. The vibrant green against the soft blue was a beautiful sight. It was times like these that Koro had someone lying their head on his chest admiring the beauty with him. The only relationship that had come close to something like that had been with Tomo. Koro could never imagine her lying here quietly with him. That was why Tomo was a friend and not one he would take a day off with... Closing those grey eyes once again, Koro opened his mouth and quietly began to sing... "Sotto...furerarete. Kono...hoho no tsumetasa ni yatto kidzuita," his voice whispered quietly as he thought about the words he was singing. It was a love song, of course. One that he has never sung to anyone. Taking off his mask, he repeated the first line to the song just as quietly to himself, "Sotto...furerarete. Kono...hoho no tsumetasa ni yatto kidzuita."

Koro rolled over on his side to look at the edge of the waterfall. A mist rose up from its bottom which gave it a peculiar foggy glow. It made the man smile as he closed his eyes once again to sing the next line of the song, "Asa me ga samete." His cheeks were cold from the mist landing on them and the cool air bringing them to its temperature. "Tori no koe ni... Hajimete kidzuku you ni," he continued thinking of a warm hand coming up to touch his cheek to make the coolness go away. It seemed as though he was making himself sad as he thought about such delicasey and softness. It was odd that he could think of such things at this moment. There wasn't much time for him to lie down to daydream of such things. This was the only chance he got while his students were occupied.

Koro smiled inwardly at himself. It was probably a good thing that he didn't have someone lying on his chest listening to this song. It seemed his singing was on the rusty side. It would be rather embarrassing if someone were to listen to him at the moment. "Mada shiranai nanimo..." he continued to whisper into the sounds of the rushing waters. "Kokoro...ga motomete'ru mono," the words came out so easily. Koro usually struggled with remembering lyrics since he didn't listen to music very often. He was more than surprised that he wasn't stumbling on the words either. This wasn't a particular song he listened to often...It was almost like a lullaby...

"Shiranai no," Koro whispered, ending the second verse of the song. He sat back up, hooking his arms around his knees. His left wrist hung over his right. Leaning backwards, he felt the secure feeling of a tree trunk on his back. "Sora...bakari mite-ita," he sang a little louder, but not very loud. Someone standing five feet away from him could hear his words, but only barely. Eventhough he sang about the sky, he didn't look up at it. Instead his grey eyes looked to the river's reflection of the sky. The clouds and sun were shown on its surface. Water was an amazing thing...

"Itsu kara...kou shite," Koro said slowly as he twirled a piece of grass inbetween his fingers. He had plucked one up from the ground while he was lying down on it. Its texture was like no other's. Everything in this world seemed so unique. There were always imitations, but nothing felt like the real thing. "Ano kumo no mashita e omoi wo tobashite," the words flew from his mouth but trailed off into silence towards the end. Koro let out a small sigh as he finished his singing. He didn't want to sing the entire song to himself. He looked towards the forest line with bamboo and wondered when his students would arrive. They were sure taking their time to get here. He hoped that the tests weren't all too hard for them to pass.

{I have perfect timing! <(^-^)>} A woman stood hiding behind the tree in which Koro was leaning against. She was holding a small daisy in her hand as she listened to Koro's singing. To her it sounded rather sweet. A smile spread over her face when he stopped singing. Taking a step out from the tree, she rounded its trunk and leaned her head over him to get a look at the man behind the song...And then, she smiled. It was a smile that would let him know that she heard him singing to himself. Amai couldn't bring herself to say anything to him. Instead, she brought her head back around the tree and leaned against it. Was this the man that the Kusakage wanted her to speak with? Amai couldn't imagine someone like him being a great ninja, especially with such a kind voice. Amai herself had a kind voice as well...Perhaps, for now, the woman would let him be until later. She couldn't say anything to him anyways...

[My skill in Listen is way too low to hear you.]
Koro felt his eyes grow heavy. He knew that falling asleep while waiting for his students was going to be inevitable once again. Without giving a fight against exhaustion and the sweet thought of dreaming, Koro fell alseep near the river's edge once again. He knew the sounds of the rushing water was what made him grow tired. Koro didn't mind, though. He would keep his ears open for anyone sneaking up on him while he slept...Especially for a group of three young ones...

Coming in from the caves Aski say Koro sleeping by the falls. "Maybe i can sneak up on him" Aski thought with an evil grin. He slowy crept forward hoping he wouldn't step on a twig or push a loose rock down the cliff making it echo loudly enough to wake Koro.

[I'll even roll the dice to give you hope, eventhough I don't really need to...]
Koro's eyes opened the moment he heard the footsteps of one of his students. Looking up and over to see Aski trying to sneak up on him made the teacher smile. "Well, so you're group made it first?" He told the boy, getting up from his spot. He left his mask down for now. There wasn't a dying need to have it up anyways. "Let's see how you did," Koro said, holding out his hands. As he waited for Aski to hand over the grading slips, he looked around to see if the other group was anywhere in sight.

[OMG! Zuhalter you changed your hair! It looks awesome!]
"Koro-sensei! We passed all the tests!" Aya said happily as she came skipping along behind Aski. "I knew we were going to be the first ones!" the girl said happily. She took a seat on a rock. Aya was exhausted and needed a moment to rest. Everything today had taken up so much energy and thinking. "Is class over now?" she asked him, hopeful that his answer would be a yes...

Koro smiled at the little girl. He knew that she was exhausted. They had been practicing since early morning and it was almost evening now. The survival test had taken longer than he would thought it would have. "Alright," Koro said, giving into the little girl's plea. "You can be dismissed. I expect to see everyone well rested and ready for the examines tomorrow," he told them all. "Aski, wasn't there one more technique you needed to learn?" Koro asked the boy, before he got too excited to go home.
