I love that question. I loved your answers too. Erik is not the bad guy. I see him as desperate. I mean yeah, he can sing. But basically, all he wanted was love, and from the movie a good Opera. And as for the answers saying Christine leading him on, she didn't. You can say, she was enchanted. And she wanted to be free of the "Enchantment" to be with RAoul. To me, I see no bad guy, but Greed, Depseration and Selfishness. By the way, Who is Greedy?

i think the movie shows that there is beauty inside erik
and raoul is just beauty on the outside..

This may not exactly be invovled with the question but I definantly know that Carlotta is greedy within the movie. Also if Erik is greedy I believe he has a right especially with his sad past. He only wants what he never had as a child.
And yes Raoul is a fop

And yes Raoul is a fop i think most people would agree to that, but there are a few Raoul-likers (not lovers) that will agrue otherwise, like my other phriend Megan. she likes him, weirdly enough...

I agree with you Bara_Himitsu, Erik did have a right to be greedy. He wanted the love he missed out on his whole life from a beautiful woman, and was a tad greedy in his effort to get that. But, it is justified.
Christine was greedy because it seemed in the book and in the movie that she wanted both men at some points. I guess Raoul was greedy in the sense that he wasn't willing to give Christine up, but that might've been the teeny bit of man in him shining through. XD
Carlotta was greedy throughout the whole movie and book. She did not like the limelight being stolen by her and turned into a toddler the with way she whined and complained.
