If Bella is immune to vampire powers... how does Alice and Jasper's powers work on her?
(and does that mean Victoria could have powers over her too?
Ex. Voices)

Bella has a very private MIND. No one can touch her there. What Jane does is entirely illusion–you only THINK you’re feeling pain. What Aro does is like what Edward does–he gets inside your head.
What Jasper does effects not the thoughts, but the body. He doesn’t make you THINK you are calm, he actually puts your body into a calmed state. Or angry, or whatever. It’s physical rather than mental. Alice sees the outcome of Bella’s decisions, because those outcomes happen in the real world, not just inside Bella’s head.

But then Stephenie Meyer explained it as just Bella's subconscious mind telling her that Edward still loved her...which was kind of cheesy.

Okay, I have a question!
Does anybody else find it odd that no one harrasses the Cullens about their eye color? I mean, you think someone would find it odd that their eyes are such abnormal color...It's not everyday you see people with yellow eyes (though I did today because my friend came up to me with his new contacts he's gonna use to cosplay at an upcoming anime convention and his character has yellow, cat-like eyes...it was kind of scary on him, nothing Cullen-like).
So yeah, I'm assuming Forkians already got used to it, but I wonder why it was never a major question for Bella. And why they didn't just get contacts. And how they explain it if people do ask.

Hmm...good one. I suppose that none of the Forkians ever came close enough to notice their eye colour - I mean, normally humans are afraid of them right, though they don't know why? And if they did get close enough, maybe they just never noticed.
Bella was always staring at Edward's face - maybe the other people who ever got that close were staring at...ahem, other places. And Bella did notice the gold eyes, remember? She thought they were contacts.
Probably, because they didn't think their eye colour would ever be brought up (except by other vampires) the Cullens didn't bother getting contacts (they're uncomfortable, so I can't imagine anyone would wear them if not necessary).
As to how they would explain if someone did ask...they could say they were wearing contacts, it's not like anyone could disprove the fact. Do some people have naturally yellow eyes?

No, it's alright. It just shows you took the time to carefully consider my question ^^
I know Bella noticed Edward's eyes and thought they were contacts, but what makes me wonder is why she didn't ask him about it, even before she found out he was a vampire, or even before he saved her from Tyler's van and gave her reason to suspect he may not be human.
Mmm...contacts aren't that uncomfortable. At least the ones I wear aren't. As long as I don't wear them for more than maybe three days or so anyway. But you do have a point; since they never sleep, their eyes would be open to air all day so it would eventually get highly uncomfortable. Plus with the way they like to run, I'm sure some would fall out now and then xP
I have seen people with very, very bright hazel-ish eyes that can look a bit golden. But that's not very often, and it's usually only if the sun's our or something. And if the Cullens really do just tell people "Oh, we wear contacts," wouldn't people think, "Why the heck would they want to wear yellow-colored contacts?" Because like I said, it's a pretty unnatural.
Then again...I guess the subject just gets dropped due to the the intimidation. Bah, who knows...except Stephenie Meyer, haha.

Didn't Bella ask Edward about that? She blurted out, "hey did you get contacts" or something like that. And Edward said no, and Bella thought something like "maybe Forks was driving me crazy in the literal sense". Because she did notice more than once the black-eyes-to-gold-eyes thing. confused

She did ask Edward if he'd gotten contacts, but that was because she noticed his eyes change from black to gold.
But what I'm asking is why she wasn't curious as to why his eyes were such a rich, honey color. My first reaction to eyes like that would be, "Wow...his eyes are beautiful, but why would he choose to wear contacts that stand out so much like that?"

I might have an answer to that!! Or many!!! Number one like we find out in Midnightsun humans don't usually go anywhere near them so they would hardly realize the colr of their eyes. The only reason Bella did is because she had to sit RIGHT next to Edward and he kept on looking at her with those black eyes and then the next time those gold eyes! So...Number two even someone who watched them from afar(Jessica, or even that secratary lady)might have already realized it but are too intimated to bring it too attention to anyone of them including Carlisle! Also to the other question about the contacts....well they wouldn't need to do that because as I have already stated it seemed like nobody cared until Bella said something about it!!!
