In my family, we celebrate some of the December birthdays in June because there's more to do outside in warm weather than in potentially too-cold-to-leave-the-house weather. We also do this because there are so many birthdays in December, not to mention Christmas, that we need to space them out in order to afford presents for everyone...
So, two days ago (I would have posted then if I was online at the time), it was exactly 6 months until I turn 18 in December. I'm psyched, but I also feel kind of old...like I've waited so long to turn 18, and now it's only a few months away. I don't know what I'll do first when it happens sweatdrop .
Anyway, does anyone else celebrate half-bithdays rather than their actual birthday, or even acknowledge it?

That's kinda cool, but we do regular, old whole-birthdays in my family...which is a good thing, because I'm a bit of a prankster and I'd probably give people half-presents on their half-birthdays and make them wait until their real birthdays for the second half.

Reminds me of a story that has a fish, a battery, and a pad of paper in it. Only two of those things were really in that story. I'll leave you to ponder that. Anyways... We haven't done that simply because we are pretty much evenly spaced through the year. whee
