Yawgmoth walks into the arena disappointed that the tournament changes have made Zero elude him since that was his original opponent. "Who's the maggot we get to crush round one so we can move on with this thing?" He said standing in the center crossing his arms waiting for his opponent.

Yawgmoth burst into laughter "All those pathetic weaklings, will just add up in you to one big pathetic weaking. We'll take pleasure tearing you apart" Yawgmoth tossed his shirt to the ground and cracked his neck and shoulders. At least he wasn't confined to conventional methods in this division. Meaning he was sure to win or at least meet Ali or Crow in the finals. "Ready kid?"

Yawgmoth flexed his hands and suddenly the ground below his feet sunk under him crushing under the pressure of his enormous muscles shoving off. Each step afterwards was enough to shatter the tension of the ground's surface and dart him forward at an incredible pace making him invisible to the naked eye after only a few steps. His key movement technique and his key starting move of almost every fight he'd ever fought. At about five feet in front of this newcomer Yawgmoth's directional motion shifted to the left with one swift placement of his foot in the proper direction. The ground still sunk under his feet and his huge form shifted leftward. Rearing his right fist back Yawgmoth closed in from the left side and swung in a straight boxing style punch forward for the newcomers left cheekbone.

The spikes shattered along Yawgmoth's skin and he sighed, this pitiful fool was too easy. Metal in the ground was nowhere near as hard as alloy metals and even those alloys in swords and blades broke on his skin, what did this fool thing these were going to do? Turn his skin red in attempt to scratch him? Who knew. Yawgmoth didn't care either. Yawgmoth's body exploded into an array of black liquid that sunk into the ground and bubbled up behind Dark solidifying into Yawgmoth once again. "You just never learn" he said opening his palm towards the back of Dark's neck. Given the short distance and little reaction time Yawgmoth's sneak attack left this poor fool escape was almost impossible. The open palm gathered dark energy and blasted it outward in a massive array at the back of Dark's head.

"And your petty wind manipulation will not last long. We will do what we have to. Not to mention no matter how concentrated your air magic is, it is still only air. Good luck hurting us with it" Yawgmoth said jumping backwards away from the air that was dark. If he had solidified form it would be hard to stop Yawgmoth without being able to grasp. "This can go on all day and frankly we don't have that kind of time kid."

Yawgmoth had plenty of other methods to stop Dark from moving to wind form it was quite simple. But Yawgmoth was never one to pass on a challenge. "Very well. And we will see to it that we both stay true to our words" Yawgmoth said as a wave of energy pulsated outward in a sphereical pattern around the arena they were fighting in. If Dark was paying any attention to his mana flow he would notice it stopped just now. As did Yawgmoth's. The energy that had just pushed out was a dampening field. Nullifying all magic and mana flow within its boundaries for all parties within. This included Yawgmoth, so even though he had executed the technique he did not posses an unfair magic advantage. "Now we are sure neither of us will be tempted to cheat. Are you ready to start this again?"

((Ah, I was assuming he stayed in 'wind form' since if he were to solidify again at that closeness Yawgmoth would've attacked. And don't worry about the lack of posts. it's all good.))

Yawgmoth smirked "Still don't get it.." As dark approached Yawgmoth's body ducked and rolled in a rotational motion. Kicking his foot out as he spun it was meant to trip Dark. At the speed for which he was running he would be unable to stop himself in time to prevent the trip in the first place. And with magic being nulled out there weren't any tricks to use inside of the dampening field to get himself out of the tight spot. The advantage was Yawgmoth's. As Dark fell from the unavoidable trip Yawgmoth's rotational attack wasn't finished. While dark was falling down face first Yawgmoth spun back to face him finishing the spin bringing his right fist with him shoving it forward with great momentum, momentum that was nearly doubled from the rotation, at Dark's face. Since Dark would be falling down by this point this also made the punch nearly unavoidable as Dark would already be in motion to collide with it.
