While my eighty gallon sits empty, waiting for the day that I decide what I want to stock it with, I've stocked my shiny new ten-gallon(two weeks ago, but the fish still feel new). whee
I've got two GORGEOUS baby Gold Gouramis (Brettney and Stanley), a lone Neon Tetra (Nod. Winkin', and Blinkin' only lasted a day and I don't dare give Nod any new companions until the tank is through cycling), and (my personal favourite), two itsy-bitsy baby Dojo Loaches (Joannes and Sebastian.)
Everything is all tiny and lovely for now, and they all get along swimmingly. (Although Brettney is clearly The Boss of the tank). They're so fun to watch, too! I'm happy with my selection.
The Dojos are going to be moved into the eighty-gallon as soon as they start to turn into the monstrous little giants they'll end up as. whee

I'd complain that that sounds a little overstocked for a ten, but apparently they are babies. It will be overstocked once they start growing, though. The internets says Gold Gouramis can get up to 6" D:
If you like Gouramis, maybe you could get a pair of Kissing Gouramis for the 80?
Baby loaches are so cute. My LFS had some adorable baby Khuli's, but I didn't dare get one. Thought they'd be nothing more than a snack for my Black Belt.

Acrid Avid Jam Shred I'd complain that that sounds a little overstocked for a ten, but apparently they are babies. It will be overstocked once they start growing, though. I'm hoping the Gouramis stick to average size and don't get much past four inches, otherwise they'll be stuck in the eighty-gallon with the loaches. Right now they're barely one inch. 4laugh I've got a little while yet before I have to worry about the tank being crowded.
