"So anyway, I was telling you there's another sort of... like you here Zavier." Tsu said holding a squirming Kai at bay. "Although I must admit that the owner can be a bit... erm... annoying, it would be nice for you to meet some of the others. If you want, maybe I can try to find out where they are located. Granted that would mean talking to Julian... and oh wait... he's another owner." Tsu had overlooked that detail so often because it always caught him off guard. Julian had always seemed so cold and distant... yet he was a parent to a raevan. Irony.
Zavier was floating around trying to act bored to off set the excitement he really felt inside. Another couple like him?! So close to home? This might be the first good bit of news in a while! "Really? If it isn't too much trouble I would like to meet them." Zavier chose out the words carefully in his head. He didn't want to come across too eager, he had an image after all. "Besides, it might be a good idea for me to get to know more about this apartment complex. I'd hate to get lost while wandering around."
"Ooh ooh!! Can I come too???!" Kai interrupted again. A look of mild discomfort and annoyance flashed across Zave's features"I'd like to meet more."
"This meeting is for Zavier." Tsu rebuked Kai a little for always seeking out the attention. "Although you're coming along so I can keep my eye on you. You always find trouble when I'm not paying attention after all."
With that settled, Tsu went to go find out where to contact some of the other owners, taking Zavier and Kai in tow so they could get used to the new apartment complex.

"--but I wanted marshmallowwwwws!!" A teeny, slightly squeaky, but nonetheless clearly audible voice complained. "Not whipped cream! And you put way too much!"
"--Shut up before I pour you down the sink!!"
"--Squirt will not, be poured...down the sink."
"--He is if both of you don't shut up soon!"
"--Hey what's dat button do?"
"No Vyn, don't let him press that but--"
--SPLLLLLLLLLUUUUUUUURTZZZZZZZZ!!!--
Hot coffee spurted in every direction in the small guest reception room of the apartment complex, raining down on one extremely disgruntled Shuura, a wincing Vyn, and an extremely hyper Squirt.
Once they discovered that Shuura's hot water boiler had malfunctioned and that she also happened to be out of coffee and paper towels, the trio had ventured out in search of the one of the many well-furnished common rooms of the apartment complex, seeking to raid the supplies and make use of the coffee machines and water heaters that could be found there.
A scowl crossed her face as Shuura attempted to wipe up the mess. The only thing she could be thankful for was that this particular guest reception room was well away from Jules' side of the apartment complex, for they were making enough racket to wake up the living dead.
Fearless as she was, Shuura nonetheless did not particular facing another lecture by Jules in which he would casually threaten to slice all of their vocal cords with a very sharp scapel if his research was disturbed again--to which Shuura would reply that if he ever did that, she would cut off his balls with an equally sharp kitchen knife. She wondered how that other guy--the doc, Dr. Too-? Tsu?--managed to live with Jules....but then again, he didn't seem to live on the same side as they did; although they had moved in on the same day, it had been over a month and Shuura had never ran into the deadbeat once.
Not that it mattered....shrugging it off, Shuura stuffed the coffee pot back onto the machine and continued to wipe down the counter with a handful of paper towels, keeping an eye out on her two charges in case they broke something else.

--SPLLLLLLLLLUUUUUUUURTZZZZZZZZ!!!--
"What the hell was that noise?!"
It had been loud enough for even Tsu to hear it. Soon the undead would be knocking down the door to the apartment complex telling people to keep it down, some people were trying to remain dead in peace. It was small wonder that Kai's sharp ears had heard the noise further down the hall.
"It came from down there! Maybe near that common room? Didn't sound like someone's apartment."
"I guess we better go check it out." Zavier sighed a little, "I don't really want to be blamed for a mess by Julian, especially if it's not my fault."
"I suppose you're right." Tsu agreed. He had been fortunate enough not to have too many run ins with the somewhat unique personality of their landlord, Julian. It was never a fun meeting to have someone so grating around.
Rounding the corner and into the reception room, it was none other than Shure? Shu-- s**t. He couldn't remember. She was hastily wiping up a mess in front of the coffee machine. Meanwhile a mess of coffee and other items littered the room. If Julian saw this, he'd probably evict everyone.
"What the hell is going o--" but Zave cut off Tsu.
"It's another one sort of like me..." he motioned slightly to the female raevan floating in the middle of the mess and wincing a little as coffee dripped onto her skin.
"And one like me!" Kai said excitedly about the green drink that the kleptogirl had. Probably stole that one too, but it served her right. Watching the drink buzz around and make it impossible for the girl to steal anything else, Tsu had to smile.
"More like you than you can ever imagine." He finished with a grin before changing his tact method. "Oi. you need help cleaning up?"

"What??" Shuura spun around at the sound of intruders, tossing a soggy coffee-soaked wad of paper towels into the trash bin, and throwing another wad of unused paper towels at the two responsible for the mess. "Oh. It's you." Once she realized it was just that other person-who's-name-wasn't-important-enough-to-be-remembered, the usual scowl came back until her brain processed what he had said.
"I can manage," the disgruntled teen curtly declined the other man's offer of help, mopping the counter with a damp towel to get rid of the coffee smell. "Thanks anyway," she added as an afterthought, deciding that it was probably best to keep things decent, as she didn't really know the guy all that well. He might turn out useful, after all, although the bum-like appearance convinced her otherwise.
By this time, Squirt had taken notice of the presence of another talking cup and nearly fell out of his bottle in excitement. "VYYN!!!" the small green boy fizzed estactically, pointing madly. "LOOKITY LOOK LOOK!!! Hiiiiii!!" the eager young drink waved and called out as loudly as he could, quite unaware of the loudness of his own voice and worried that the other one wouldn't be able to hear him all the way across the room. The room was reeeally big, after all!
Vyn glanced at the newcomers uncertainly, suddenly rather shy at being caught in such a state in the presence of the stranger Raevan. Using the papery stuff that Shuura had thrown in their direction to clean off the liquid that had splashed onto her arms, Vyn then wiped down the sides of Squirt's bottle before turning to the others. Ebony-amber eyes glowing softly as she regarded the curious new occupants of the room, the Shadow Frei gracefully bowed down her head a little at the doctor and the stormy blue Raevan, her voice petal-soft but a little hesitant as she offered a word of greeting. "Evening..."

"Have it your way." Tsu shrugged nonchalantly. He moved closer to the smoking corner of the common room. Not out of courtesy, but more out of comfort, as walking over here constantly to ash his cigarette would be a pain in the a**. "So you got one too? The freaky little kid in what looked to be a normal drink?" Tsu nodded towards the hyperactive and radioactive kid waving madly.
"I'm not freaky! I'm Kai" The calpis boy pouted at his guardian before turning back to wave just as excitedly towards the other drink. Finding the same problems with volume control, he shouted back, "Didja hear that? 'M Kai!!! Whats your name?"
"You really don't have to shout, Kai." Zave chastised a little "The other one is in the same room after all... not halfway around the world from you."
"He might as well be..." Kai huffed. "You're keeping me so far away from him."
Zave had to admit he was keeping his distance. He didn't know anyone out of the trio... and so he was a little nervous. Smiling shyly at the raevan that on closer look was a closer version of not-Rivener. He spoke up "Evening. I'm Zave. And you are...?"
It took a lot of effort not to stare though. The other raevan was certainly more polite than most of the others he met... but oddly stiff and quiet. To see the mystery raevan with the tiny out of control drink... it was really an odd contrast. Still it wasn't that bad... just rather amusing to watch in ways.
Tsu made it clear that he wasn't going to go anywhere while his kids were trying to get to know the other raevan and drink child. After all... they didn't get to meet many other pets like them in this apartment complex. Although he hadn't seen Julian... it also meant he hadn't seen Gage in forever. Besides... there was no telling what their owner might do next. Steal his kids maybe? One could only wonder.

Unbeknownst to Tsu, stealing his charges was possibly the furthest thing from Shuura's mind at the moment. If she had thought she could sell them, sure, but as it was she hadn't even been able to find a niche on the black market for hyperactive, glow-in-the-dark drink-kids yet. "Yes, I have one," She replied, not bothering to explain exactly how she "got" one as she finished cleaning up the mess. "Would you like it?" she asked half-joking, half-serious. If the smoking hobo wanted it, he could have it. Really. Freakin' stupid brat-in-a-cup. See if she took him out for coffee ever again.
Perfectly oblivious to the fact that his owner was displaying intent on giving him away, Squirt was busy begging Vyn to bring him closer. "HI KAI!!" Squirt responded eagerly, giggling at the unintentional rhyme. "I'm SQUIRT!" He chattered excitedly, leaning so far out from his half-sawed bottle that a few drops of fizzy liquid nearly sploshed out. "I named myself!!" He told them proudly. "Oh and this is Vyn!" He told both of them, and Vyn's gaze shifted over to him at the mention of her name. "She's my sister. Ain't she pretty?" He smiled a big toothy grin at the blue bottle. Sure, the big-floaty blue thing was interesting too, but the other drinkable had soaked up his attention 100% for the Dew boy to pay much mind to him.
At the little boy's urging, Vyn hesitantly picked up Squirt's cup and drifted closer to the others--she didn't feel very safe to be next to Shuura at the moment-- and setting the green cup down next to the blue one. Actually, they were both very blue -- the small thing and the other one that was like her; another one of her "Kin", it seemed. Unlike the icy aura of Roux, however, this one gave off a somewhat soothing feeling, despite a hint of chaos underlying the calmness like a hidden current -- He felt like the rain, like the calm before a storm.
Vyn's gaze was unwavering as she studied the other with her head tilted slightly to the side, rosy lips parted slightly -- she'd never been taught that staring was impolite, and since she garnered stares everywhere she went, the Rosy Frei reasoned that it was only fair for her to look at others in the same manner when she wanted to. Squirt had already introduced her, so she didn't bother doing so herself; It was rare that she found something that caught her interest, so the Shadow Raevan simply floated a respectful distance from the stormy blue one while quietly taking in the other's appearance.

"Would you like it?"
Tsu heard the words clearly, but couldn't tell if the girl was joking or very serious. He had already had many bad experiences from the words "Would you like..." before.
"Would you like to host the party?" "Would you like to present first?" "Would you like to go to Hawaii for free?"
All of them ended up meaning "Would you like more hassle than it's really worth?" Fool me five-hundred and eighty-nine times, shame on you... but fool me five-hundred and ninety times, shame on me.
So putting on his most polite and sincere smile, Tsu exhaled the smoke that he had sucked in first and stated rather flatly... "No." besides... Tsu believed it was fun watching train wrecks... however actually being involved in the train wreck? Not as fun.
Kai however would love to have Squirt as a brother. He was just about the same as him... if not a little younger and a little more hyper. But then Kai really could be the big brother. It wasn't fair that Zave towered over his cup, when he was supposed to be the younger brother. Somehow Kai's pride was hurt by that.
"Vin." he tried saying. He had no idea if he was right or not... but it didn't matter. "She does look pretty. Dark. Very nice." It didn't help that he was positioned right about to her breast level. Tsu really had been rubbing off on his kid... in ways that Tsu probably didn't want to have happen. Before long, Kai might be picking up cigarettes and trying to hit on the female drinkables. Neither of which would have a good result.
Turning his attention back to Squirt, he asked, "You named yourself? SKWERT? That's so cool!!!" He was jumping a little bit too, the energy from the other drink transmitting to the milky drinkable. Pointing at Tsu in the corner he said "That's Tsu. He named me." He wished he could have named himself... but what name would he have chosen? He didn't know names back then.
Meanwhile Zave was staring a little and being stared at. Although it seemed every other raevan like him had stared to some extent, the looks from Lazzie and her were probably the most comfortable feeling. With Rivener it felt like he was some sort of goal to attain. Vyn's stares seemed to be more out of interest and curiosity.
"Vyn." He stated gently. Trying to put the face and name into his memory. How was he to know that while growing up people might change? In any case, he was meeting a new one like him. "What do you like to do, if you don't mind me asking?" Zave asked politely, searching cautiously for some form of conversation from the other. After all, he got information from asking questions, not just touch or stares.
Besides... Zave felt if he stared too long, Tsu might tease him about staring at another raevan. The quiet that was building up between them was an odd mixture of overpowering pressure, yet not uninvited. Similar to the thunderheads that rolled in the distance before rainfall. Vyn seems to be a puzzle in every way. She looks to be delicate, yet carries a strong aura about her. There was a lot hidden about her as well. Maybe because she didn't choose to talk much. Zave found himself liking to get to know her more, but only if she allowed him to do so.

"TSOO?" Squirt squeaked, then burst into giggles, bubbles fizzing madly around him. "He's....fuzzy!" the green boy announced, referring to the haze of smoke surrounding Kai's guardian. Precariously leaning over the half sawed-off bottle to peer at his newfound friend, the little drinkable noticed for the first time the difference in their containers. "Hey hey! Whacha livin' in there? 'N how come I don't get to swim in a cool bottle like that??" At this, the little boy pouted a little, unconsciously imitating what his elder sibling did when she was feeling a bit miffed. "I only have half a bottle..." Sticking out a little lime-green hand, Squirt could almost just reach the edge of Kai's bottle, which he poked gently in some sort of awe.
Dammit, Shuura thought. Hobo-guy doesn't want it. I was so close, she muttered darkly to herself. Oh well, it was worth a try anyways. "Coffee?" she asked, proffering the coffee pot, which had about 1/4th of dark brown liquid remaining, towards the general direction of the currently smoke-encircled man. Nicotine and caffiene. Oh yes, a brilliant combination. The very-not-clean-shaven bum probably had about 20 years of his lifespan shaved off. Not that he would have much to contribute to society anyways.... She put on her sweetest smile. "You seem like you could use some." She could afford to be generous--it wasn't her coffee.
Meanwhile, Vyn was experiencing a bit of a revelation. What started out as simple act of curiosity was turning out to be surprisingly enjoyable. This Raevan's self-label--"Zave"--was a sound that was a bit foreign to her, and she was hesitant to voice it. When he said her name aloud, however, it triggered something largely unfamiliar. Dropping her gaze, she placed a hand over her chest, which felt strangely constricting. Why did it suddenly become harder to breathe?
Delicate brows knitting together in a small frown, Vyn bit down on her bottom lip, unsure of what to say. Finally, she came up with an answer that not only answered the other's question, but described her current state of being as well. "I-...I do not know." Perhaps it was because of the dryness of the air, but her normally earthy voice came out a bit huskier than usual. If it had been intentional, it might be branded as "seductive," but the fact that the Rosy Frei was still largely ignorant to these things only made it all the more alluring.

For the first time he could remember, Kai looked at his bottle without a twinge of self consciousness. Why was it that it always took someone else to change your outlook? "I don't know why you don't have a bottle like this." Kai responded honestly, trying to show he looked thoughtful. "When I opened my eyes... I was already in here. Actually I was stuck."
As he finished, Kai pointed to his waist line... where the mouth to the bottle hit. It had been a tight squeeze until Tsu had done some "surjury" and taken out the tight part. Still... he felt a little envious of Skwert in his half bottle. "I'd actually want to be like you. You seem more... free. I couldn't move around that much at first." Also in a way, it seemed that Tsu never took him out anywhere... which led to utter boredom sometimes.
Finally pointing at Tsu, Kai said, "He's furry, but not really fuzzy. He doesn't shave as often... and well the clouds are actually from him smoking. It stinks... so I'd stay away from it." Kai was trying to speak loud enough that Tsu would get the point... but the guardian didn't seem to care.
Tsu took one more drag on the cigarette thoughtfully before he stubbed it out in the ashtray. Although he didn't trust this girl or the drinks she had to offer, it wasn't like she actually had enough time... or brain power... to poison the drink. "Ummm... sure. Thanks." he managed, as he fished a cup out of the cupboard for himself. He still didn't bother telling the girl he was the medical staff that looked after the raevans though. It seemed like it'd be too much of a pain in the a**.
Zave was confused as the other raevan spoke. Something about her voice made him want her to talk more. He tried to hide his disappointment at the way she answered the question so easily, as if it was a cut to the discussion. He tried once more, hoping she'd actually respond more and want to have conversation. "Vyn, are you always with your guardian?" he asked pointing at the girl with the coffee pot. "What do you do in your free time?"

Squirt wiggled a bit uncomfortably at Kai's unfortunate anecdote. "Stuck?? I've never been stuck. 'Cept at home. But whenever Shoo picks me up I always feel like she's gonna spill me or something." The happily carefree tone in which this piece of information was given out obviously showed the little boy's ignorance at the seriousness of the situation should it ever actually happen.
"A-chooo!" A another fit of bubbles burst violently to the surface as Squirt sneezed. The green drinkable had finally caught a whiff of the "fuzz" that surrounded Kai's "TSOO" person. "You're right...it DOES stink!" The green boy announced quite tactlessly, pinching his freckled nose with his right hand. "And what do you mean he's furry? I thought only 'aminals' are furry! I saw a puppy on TV but Shoo wouldn't let me have one. She said it would probably eat me."
Dumping part of the remnants of coffee into her own cup, Shuura merely snorted at Squirt's not-so-subtle-complaint. If she was certain that dogs would eat the thing, she might have actually gotten one...but then she would have to deal with the dog. What if it vomited the green thing back out? Then she'd had a mess to deal with. If the little drinkable kept pushing it, though, she just might be tempted enough to try it. With a short sigh, she pushed the coffee pot with the remaining 3/4ths cup of liquid inside towards the bum-like guy. "There's creamers and sugar in the cupboards too," she informed him matter-of-factly, choosing to drink her own black. Jesus but there's a huge influx of these floating freaks lately. At least this one had manners and didn't seem as bratty or as radioactively GREEN as some of the other ones she's seen.
Plopping down on the common room sofa, Shuura seemed content enough at the moment to merely watch her "charges" amuse themselves with the newcomers. She hoped the Tsu guy wasn't gonna sit close to her. Yeah, she'd be polite, but that didn't necessarily mean she wanted a hobo-looking unshaven bum to be in physically close proximity. In fact, this particular strain of unshaven-hobo look actually seemed to be the type that her supervisor, Natsuki, usually went fo---oh, s**t. It WAS him. That was when she saw him--at the festival where Natsuki was practically drooling rivers at this bum. Oh, well. No accounting for taste.
Tucking a few errand strands of hair behind the petals of the rose adorning her head as she tilted her head in thought, Vyn was still hesitatant in her reply. Although becoming more used to vocalizing her thoughts as of late, speaking nonetheless did not come easy to the female Raevan, and somehow before this particular blue one inn front of her she found that she had more difficulty than normal.
At length, the earthy voice resounded once more, with a hint of reluctance. "I am-...many times, no....She usually is, not-, around." A pause. If Vyn had any feelings about the constant absence regarding her guardian, it was not clearly discernable. The delicate Raevan twirled a strand of hair around a slender black-tipped finger before speaking once more. "Although...the park. The park...at night,....and, listening." Another pause, and her amber-ebony eyes seem to glow slightly, as if thinking back on a pleasant experience. "Music...It is good."
