Elders who are currently statues can come back as an Elder. They will come back as an Adult because the Guardians will not maintain their magic to keep a Pae'il elevated if they are inactive.
If a player comes back who previously had an Elder, and wants to RP their Elder, they have to earn it back. The cert will revert to the previous Adult art, but once the new Luminary stage is earned, they will receive their old art back.
What is a Luminary?
It is the stage replacing the Elder stage. We're not getting rid of Elders, just retiring them to be replaced by Luminaries. They are more plot-specific and plot-involved. They also have a better method for which they "ascend" that isn't vague and contradiction to our plot.
Luminaries will be introduced in an event related to the reveal of our next Ancient Elemental breed. Luminaries will be granted their powers from a different source (not the Guardians) and will be chosen via a multi-player Role-Play quest that will be conducted regularly once they are introduced.
What about current Elders?
There are only three active Elders, but they are without powers due to inactivity. These Elders are Ivy, Jazz and Coronus. Their owners can do what they want with them as far as plot goes, but nothing special will be implemented into the metaplot unless they are actively RP'd.
6 months of no activity with your elder = power loss (this means if you are active anywhere else, but not in FA, you still lose powers--the only exception is a haitus notice from either the shop owner or the player.)
1 year of no activity or blacklisting = Elder no longer exists. They are "reborn" as the same character, and come in as a teenager with no memories of who they were as an adult. But they do know who they are.
