I'd like to start questing for a serum for the broad-winged hawk. If I am not accepted on that, Peregine[sp?] Falcon, Common raven and Red-tailed hawk are the next best things. As you can see , I like winged creatures. Alright... Zephys is gonna come up in the next post... Or as soon as he wakes up.

Age 15
Gender: Male
Short bio: Oh, nothing much. He has no memories of his parents, so he was adopted by a christain family. He has a pet snake that he keeps around his neck at all times. Sure, his family doens't approve of it, but he loves the snake like his own brother. He has the average life.
At school, he's known to his friends as Zeph, or some of the smarter ones reffer to him was Winds. He hangs out with the friends often, and some girls even fall in crushes with him, but he was always quick to show he just isn't available. He was always striving to get good grades, his home life is normally doing homework in his room. He wants to make up for forgetting his parents by making his new parents proud.
Then, as he was walking home, he found a piece of paper had been taped to him. He assumed this was only a prank by his friends, but when he read the paper, it was acually a free, all expenses paid vacation to an island! He ran to his parents, only then finding out that it was only one person, he had to go alone. That was saddening to him, and he didn't want to go, and his parents made him, saying this was a gift by God and he should accept it. Eventually, he did.
Personality: He's usually kind, happy and carefree. He, however, does have worries and stresses just like everyone else, though not so much as to say he has a serious problem. He does have a few quirks about his personality. He is quick to anger if someone crosses his morals, and does his best to stop them. Immedietly. If that means break his nose, by golly, he will break it. He also has a tendancy to act very childish at times, as when he was at home he regularly baby-sat many young kids. He laughs at everything, and never really takes things seriously. Though when he does take things seriously, he is known to get very, very scary, but that's very, very rare.
Likes: His likes include his pet snake, people, his family and entertainment. Video games, TV's and many other things. He likes to hang out. Literally. Hanging from a nearby tree whenever possible. He loves to climb trees, and it supposedly makes his pet snake happy too.
Dislikes: He has a terrible dislike of needles, people have to acually pin him down to give him a flu shot. He dislikes people that scare him. He dislikes having to be serious. Over most other things, he has a terror that his pet snake will one day be taken away from him. Not by death, but by people.

It isn't how much detail you put into the character, But what major details you put in to help define who you're character is.
Couple things that you could elaborate on:
Why doesn't he have any memory of his biological parents? did they die in an accident, did they abandon him? I think that while he might not have any memory of them, I think he would remember the reason that lead to his adoption.
Also the "make up for forgetting his parents" thing, Its one thing to have him wanting to make his adopted parents proud, but why should he feel guilty about forgetting his parents? again you should go back to answer what happened to his parents. It be more understandable if his parents.... Died in a horrific car accident and he felt guilty that he couldn't do anything about it, but forgetting his biological parents? just doesn't seem likely
And the finding the "expenses paid vacation" taped to him, that doesn't seem likely either, It would be much more plausable if he won it say for doing so well in school, or though a fake radio contest, but finding it taped to him? just doesn't seem likely.
