These dragons are based off the Dragon Riders of Pern series, so if you have read it then you should know that basics.
Well first I will start with the different types of dragons. There are:
Gold: Queens, they are only good for reproducing and travel, they have no room to breath fire. (female)
Bronze: second largest dragon (Male)
Brown: third largest dragon (Male)
Blue: Smallest dragon (Male)
Green: Only other female dragon, not as big as queen. they can also only have brown, blue and green offspring. (female)
(note: pair them up by gender also, and don't just choose the largest one, give some variety please)

Now these Dragons can breath fire, but only if they ingest a certain rock. This rock enters a second stomach that the dragon has, then when they release it they breath fire. They must also eject this matter by.....hurling it out like a hairball. Otherwise they will get sick and eventually empty it by other means, meaning much pain and suffering, like a stomach flu.

These dragons also have limited teleportation, and comunicate by telepathy. They can however communicte with only other dragons and there one rider, beyond that they cant talk to anyone else. Some humans posses the ability to talk to other dragons and hear what they are saying, but please remember that this is rare and normally reserved for the riders of the queens.

The bond between a dragon and its rider is chosen at birth, the dragon chooses its rider, and the bond is permanent (worse then marriage xd ). This would also mean that when the dragon dies (which when this sad event happens they disappear into nothingness, like a failed teleportation) the rider gets very distraught and even suicidal. If the rider dies then the dragon disappears as stated above.

One person can only be bonded to one dragon at a time, yes it is possible to bond with a second dragon if the first somehow dies on you, but your character will be unstable at best, and most young dragons will refuse to bond with such a character.

Now about the stones that the dragons eat, they are called Firestones. Now I'm not about to limit those who want a water spitting dragon saying it could never happen, but that would mean having to find a different type of stone, please note that if someone wants that they MUST pm the current leader of the guild for permission, for such a creation would drastically alter the world by allowing the other dragons the same ability.

For those that have read the Dragon Riders of Pern, NO you can't have the white dragon, and for those that want it, No you cant have a Black dragon either. So please stick with the colors and varity we have.
