A soft nicker broke the early morning silence that had kept Dian calm. She looked over at Shal and chuckled softly. The horse had been bored since they'd arrived here, and she knew that she'd have to find something fun to do. Her mask was inside her cape, and she gently took it out, holding it up. She lay along a tree branch, her slight weight held up by the bark. A slight tremor ran down her spine, and she wiggled along the tree, successfully easing the itch that it caused.
Shal looked up at her human and snorted, her head slowly shaking back and forth. The crazy two-legger shouldn't be up in the tree as if she was a squirrell. She stomped her forehoof upon the ground, the feathers upon it rippling with the movement. She lowered her head and her mane fell into her face, her dark eyes kind as she once again reviewed the human. At least the two of them got along.
Dian sighed and then shifted so she was sitting upon the branch, looking down at the friesian mare. She grinned crookedly, and then slid until she was at the edge of the branch. She clicked her tongue and grinned hugely when the mare came under the branch and turned around so that she wouldn't be on backwards. Dian let herself fall, knowing the mare would be there to catch her when she did.
The mare let out a huge breath that sounded similiar to a huff when Dian landed on her. The young woman smiled and then patted Shal's neck. The mare nickered and stretched out her neck, waiting for more. She snorted when Dian gently pressed her sides with her heels. The mare whinnied and sprang into a fast canter. Her rhythm was smooth enough that the rocking motion didn't bother Dian a bit. She sat the mare with experience, as she didn't have a problem without a saddle. She planned on getting one when she reached the next town.

Dian slowed the mare as they approached the town. It looked to be a decent size, and the buildings weren't too run-down, so she assumed someone lived here. She felt Shal begin to stop, and then she gently pressed her knees into the mare's sides, urging her to an easy trot.
Shal whinnied when the young woman touched her sides. She didn't want to go in here, but she knew she must. If anything just to keep the human safe. She didn't seem to have much of an idea of how to stay alive.

Jumping from roof to roof he pulls out his dagger "Yup that's her time to collect my pay." He says as he sees Dian and the mare.

Dian kept the mare at a sharp trot as the two continued down the street. Some of the towns people were looking at them, and she gently touched the ring on her finger. She returned the stares that were given, and grinned insolently when she was glared at. She felt a shiver run down her spine as she instinctively became more wary.

Jumping from the roof he waited for them to enter a dark alley the jumped in front of the horse"hand over the ring! Now and i won't hurt you!"

Dian held on tightly as Shal reared up, flailing with her forelegs towards their attacker. The mare landed upon the ground again and snorted, her eyes wide with fear and anger.
"What are you talking about," she asked as she attempted to control the mare. Her eyes were narrowed with suspicion.

Dian grinned cheekily.
"You have to catch me first," she laughed cheerily before spinning the horse on her hind legs so she was facing the end of the alley.

Taking out a rope he swung it and watched as it wrapped around the mares feet causing it to collapse "now then where was i? ohh yes" He says as he walks over and picks her up by the shirt "The ring now you thief."

The young woman continued to grin. She then slapped the mare's flanks so she would run. Seeing as she was off of Shal, she didn't care if the mare got away. She'd run if she got the chance.
"But if I gave it to you, that would be harming my personal interests."

"It would be worse for you if i didn't get it easily this dagger isn't just for show " he says as he waves it in front of her face "Give me the ring!"

"Why," she pouted up at him. "It's shiny!" She looked down at her feet and blushed, then she returned her gaze to his eyes and bared her teeth in a smile that combined itself with her guilty expression.

"Ok fine don't cooperate!" He says as he grabs her and hangs her upside down from a light post with some rope "Now lets just have a look here." He says as he searches her.

Dian yelped loudly as she was hoisted into the air.
"Um, excuse me, but don't you think this is a little much," she asked as she squirmed. She glared at him, feeling like a bat who had been rudely awoken.
