When consciousness returns to these three Legends, light doesn't. The room around them is pitch black, save for the dim red glow of an LED, the sign of a video camera operating in one corner.

Their eyes will take a while to adjust, but once they do, the room around them gains a little more detail. The walls are thick cement, with a few pipes snaking across the ceiling, the odd one dripping water that is perhaps a little too unsafe to drink. Dangling from one pipe is a key on a string, suspended just above the heads of the group.
Two doors lead out of the room, one on the east wall, one on the west. The keyholes seem to be of the same shape.

What will Levi, Kitsumai and Breena do?

The floor was cold. Slightly panicked Kitsu looked around, only seeing the red light for a long moment. She blinked and shoved herself to her hooves with a clatter. Where was she? She wrapped her arms around her body, rubbing her arms briskly to try and warm up.

Was she alone? If she wasn't she didn't want to accidentally step on someone! So her nervous prancing stopped, regardless of what her body wanted to do. Slowly her eyes adjusted, and slowly she saw two other figures in the room with her.

It was too bad she couldn't speak to wake them up.

Levi woke to the sound of hooves, brows knitting before his eyes opened. Had he fallen asleep in Aki's stables? Finally cracking one eye open, bleary gaze settling on the single red light in the darkness, Levi pushed himself up on one arm.

Not the stables. That was the sound of hooves settling on stone, not hay. With one hand, Levi cast outward....feeling blindly along the floor and wall. Maybe he'd find some apples...or a flashlight!

He extended his other hand gently toward the center of the room, or what he judged to be the center. Wall against his back, he clucked his tongue quietly, making gentle and soothing noises as he smoothed his thumb against his index finger.

What? It worked on kitties! "Nk nk nk!" As the hint of light in the room became more obvious, the pirate squinted and grinned into the gloom. He had no idea where he was, but Levi had never turned down an adventure! This one simply happened to be a surprise.

Consciousness was not a pleasant arrival. It was forced upon Breena by the sound of hooves clacking, a noise she wasn't particularly used to coming at such close range, especially when she was sleeping.
The darkness around her seemed to confirm the dead of night, until that red LED presented itself to her sleep-logged eyes. No, this wasn't night. And this wasn't at all the sort of thing she liked. Surprises disgusted her. She had no way of preparing a story for a surprise, no artifice to ply others with.

Were there even any others, save for that damned horse?
The clacking had ceased now, and so she settled herself into a seated position against one wall, raking her eyes back and forth, back and forth, though she knew full well this would just make them adjust slower.
Eventually, after what seemed like an eternity, two fuzzy shadows stood out against the blackness, just visible.
"You. You there, did one of you do this?!"
Her voice was measured. There was anger in it, that much even the best actress could not disguise, but she was too well practiced to let vent her bile on others in a strange place, when she knew not if they were dangerous.

Kitsu was about to head to Levi, drawn by the sound, wondering if he had hit his head somehow and lost his wits, when Breena spoke. She turned to look at her, shaking her head almost wildly. She hadn't done this! And even using the tiny notepad and pen she had hung around her neck, she couldn't communicate. It was too dark to read. She looked around again, doubting the female could see her shaking her head.

Something shone slightly above her head.

Levi turned toward the other voice, and drew his questing hand back. Rubbing his eyes, the worst thing one could do in such a situation, he set himself back in the dark a few moments.

"Yup!" He dropped his other hand as well, figuring the deer or pony or whatever it had been was frozen by the sharp voice. "S'whut ah do with m'spare time, lass. Innit fun?"

Both hands flat against the wall, Levi stood slowly...trying to make out the black on black silhouettes in the room with him. "Tell y'what, tho. Gonna be one 'ell of a time if this betty spooks, so y'just sit tight, an' don' worry boutta thing!"

He had always been good around the stables, mainly because bridles and saddles didn't make any more sense to him than they did to the horses! Still totally unaware of what he was dealing with, Levi pushed away from the safety of the wall and extended his hand again to Kitsumai...making gentle noises in the suffocating dark.

What the hell would a boy give such a stupid answer for? And what in god's name was a 'betty'?
Were she of a more primitive nature, Breena would have growled with anger and begun swinging her fists wildly then and there, for a great urge to do violence to someone was bubbling up inside her.
"Are you mentally impaired?" she merely asked in a low voice, attempting to filter out the menace she wished to do unto this freak.
"Because one is given to assume it."

The silent shadow she merely glared in the general vicinity of. Was she some freak show for strange shadows to just watch? What was going on?!

What was a "Betty?" Kitsu shook her head for a second before glancing at the boy that was now standing. But her eyes were drawn back to the shining thing hanging over her head and she reared up on her hind legs, grabbing for whatever the object was.

Hopefully it would be something that would help them more than yelling would, she thought with a sigh.

"Nope!" Levi's response to the woman's jab was cheerful...girls were silly creatures by nature. He found it rather charming. "Ah wasn't th' one that asked a stupid question!"

It was probably the dark. Females always seemed a bit twitchy in the dark. Unfortunately, he didn't have any light to offer. "Hey there, s'okay. Hooookay." The young pirate's voice was low again, comforting as he edged closer. Hand still extended, he winced as he reached forward...hearing another scuff of hooves and trying to make out the swift movements of black on black before him.

Something soft brushed by his fingers, and Levi spread his hand flat...intending on settling a comforting hand on the animal's neck. Touch was a universal language, things would be calm again in no time!

Turning his head a bit, speaking to the girl in the room with him, Levi seemed totally unaware of her growing rage. "Member how y'got 'ere, lass?" The last thing he recalled was polishing off a bottle of red out of Aki's cupboard...the rest was a bit of a blur.

A hand touched her waist as she came down and her eyes widened at the strange sensation of someone she didn't know touching her skin. She shied away automatically, blushing brightly for some reason. But she had the shiny thing.

She held it out to get a better look at it in the red light of the camera. A key?

"You're the one that gave a stupid answer."
Breena had never been good at keeping her temper, and this was a case of a situation which was bound to wind her up. A silent stranger, a stupid boy, a dark room, and that bloody little light. What was that damned thing, anyway? A camera? What kinda of pervert got off on that sort of thing.
Huffily, she threw her hands up in the air and plonked herself on the floor.

The boy's question was only answered, extremely sulkily, after a few moments envisioning someone getting repeatedly beaten about the head for this. She chose Eydis.
"Oh how should I know? I went to bed and woke up in this horrid place."

Levi shrugged, a useless gesture in the darkness. So they were both right! He barely registered the tone. Whoever it was reminded him of his baby sister...and Levi was used to sulky girls. "Hmm. 'Haps we.."

His words faded off as his fingers brushed soft fur. Not fur! A little voice clarified. Skin! Taking a startled step back, just as Kitsumai had, Levi stared at his fingers in the dark. It was only then that he realized he could actually see his hand. In fact, he could see all kinds of shapes in the room!

He picked the one before him to focus on first, hands waving slightly in the way people were prone to do in the dark as he approached. Hindquarters, but the legs were hard to make out...slender waist, dark hair...

"Bwah?!" Obviously puzzled, and more than a little fascinated, Levi edged closer to the shying Kitsu. Was someone....riding the horse?! "Ey! S'omne else 'ere!" Had he been locked up with two pretty girls?! It was his lucky day!

The tiny red light cast two pink gleams, one high and one low, near the figure before him. The pirate tried to look from the corner of his eye, and detail flicked into some sort of focus. He smiled as disarmingly as he could, and took another step closer with one hand offered. "Why dinnit y'say nuthin? M'Levi. This is....er...whasser name, lass?" The last bit was directed at Breena, voice changing as he turned his head.

Kitsumai watched him for a second. So he could see now? She looked at his offered hand, then smiled and shook it happily. She could understand shaking when meeting strangers! Unfortunately, she couldn't tell him her name, she thought with a slight frown. But she could give him the key! Maybe he would know what to do with it!

With that thought she took the hand she was shaking and pressed the key into it, hoping he would understand.

"Breena," she flicked out, still sulking royally. This whole situation seemed a set-up to piss her off. She despised not being in control of a situation, and this seemed monumentally beyond her control. She didn't know where she was, could barely see the nose on her own face even with her eyes adjusting to the darkness, and was stuck with a silent shadow and a twerp. Oh goodie. Oh joy. She just wanted to hit someone, or do something that she could control, that she could know was her own doing.

"Any clues how the hell to get out of here, oh supremely stupid one?"

"Breenah." Levi repeated her name absently...one hand accepting the key, and the other still reaching for the horses neck. Again, a brush of skin, and a few fleeting inches lower...

Taut, warm fur. For a moment, the pirate stood frozen, torn between discoveries in each of his hands. Half horse, he thought. Like Devmani! Levi's wasn't the brightest, but in this case, his far fetched assumption just happened to be right. He gave Kitsumai a double pat on her equine shoulder, a gentle 'pleased to meet ya.'

Finally, the key won out, and Levi dropped his other hand to his side as he squinted at it in the dark. "Yup..." He answered Breena's question slowly, words drawled with idle interest. Obviously, he had found something. "But m'not gonna share iffin y'don't play nice." A reasonable request, or so he thought.

But then, Levi didn't know a lot about women.
