Don't be afraid to ask us anything. If you don't get an answer right away, don't fret, we will get to you as soon as possible. We won't bite you (well...most of us will if you ask I think- maybe...) so don't hesitate to ask us just about anything about the Guild/RP/etc.

In the RP can you speak to someone over a distance or do you have to be in talking distance. I am just wondering since this is supposed to be a video game.

Well, I imagine it would have to be within walking distance. If it were real life, you'd have an IM system or something, but since its an RP...its kind of hard to do that sort of thing.

Alright. How does the rare item system work (5/5 te nani?), what am I allowed to do with it for a normal character, and how long has the game been released (how many years)?

5/5 = me being a .hack dork, don't worry about it too much. All the weapons Nocturne gives out have the "rarity" rating of that.
Normal characters can go on Quests to receive rare items (though I'm not sure how Glacia intends to have them run exactly), though sometimes when you're placed in a Server, the owner of said Server may give them to you to start with.

It's obviously a rating, but an explanation for each score (1/5, 2/5, etc)'d be nice. Also the character I'm currently making bought it within the same week that the game was originally released, so she's been around a while, has a high level, etc. Or is that not allowed?
Hm. I keep deliberately trying to keep from bringing .hack things in here, actually...

I try, but fail pretty miserably half the time due to my obsession.
It's fine if your character has a high level and ect. It's not required you start out as a low-level newbie or anything, and we know you won't godmod, so. XD
Going back to the rating, it's just that the higher the score the better the strength. Something with a rarity of 1/5 would have average attack power as the type of that weapons goes, and one of say, 4/5 would give you quite a nice boost in attack power.
Really, it was something I more or less made up for my profiles on a whim and didn't expect to catch on, but I could come up with some sort of thing about each level if you want/need me to, I suppose.

Strength? Eh, I'm more concerned about how rare it is, personally. I always like having one of a kind items, even if I don't use them because they kinda suck, xP.

It's essentially a fictional forum where we directly roleplay as our (so-called-real-life) characters. They can discuss anything (even unrelated to "The Game"), and essentially simply talk as though they were normal people on the internet.
Since that's what they're supposed to be, xP

I think the subforums are 2.5k. I'll double check to make sure. And I think we need a couple more, but again...I'll have to check. I'm not at my best today. sweatdrop
As far as elaborate goes, yes...You'll have to excuse the typos. I wrote this thing up at what was it? Like 2:00 a.m.? xD
