the eeyore mug. new events and the such
April 11th, 2007. A few things today. I noticed that my spirit now has text on his/her cert! One step closer to becoming a spirit. 8D Also, today I chatted with my two team mates for th RP event, ELF and Friskit. Can't wait to see how it all turns out. ^^
January 5th, 2007. I finally won a tea spirit. :3 And what better way than from a writing contest, eh? I also made my journal and added two teas that I regularly drink. I'll be adding more soon, since I have had many more than the two listed currently. :] If you have any tea suggestions, let me know.

the poem
as we sit together, you and I beneath the trees and the birds so high and I sip mine, and you sip yours as the leaves stir about on the forest floor i lean close and whisper something to you and say it's as true as when the bird flew and the turtles, they swam in the pond that day and the young deer learned to fight through play in harmony, we sat, with them around, for nature's secret, we had found
-poem by katersaur. do not use or steal or do anything with, please.
the real tea
From Red Blossom Tea Company ~ In late April of 2005, we joined in the harvest of a phenomenal Jade Oolong from Alishan. Grown at 2200 meters (7200 feet), our Alishan Spring Harvest was intoxicatingly rich and flavorful. During late November of 2005, we once again took part in the Winter Harvest of that tea. From the exact same farm and elevation, we bring to you our Alishan Winter Harvest. Floral, smooth, as intoxicating in the winter as it was in the spring. Amount to Use: 1.5 teaspoons per 10 ounce cup. 1 oz. of tea leaves makes approximately 8 cups of tea. Water Temperature & Steep Time: 200 degrees (very hot) or when medium bubbles first appear. Steep for 3 minutes. May be steeped multiple times. Recommended Method: Gaiwan, Teapot, Infuser Cup
how s/he was received
2006 winter holiday events. :3 This precious tea was the prize for the writing contest.
The Theme: When you drink tea where does it take you? Who or what do you become? We could give examples but we really want everyone to think about this and make it personal. This is a creative exercise so don't just spell it out for us.
the entry
It seeps. The aromatic steam rises to my nose as I dip the bag a few more times. It’s a wonderful scent, green with honey, that my father bought me for Christmas vacation. I thankfully set the Eeyore face mug down on a coaster, watching as the beads of precipitation gather on the sides of the cup. Slowly, I take out the teabag, letting it drip into the cup for a few moments, just so I don’t make a mess. Not wanting to get up from the couch, I quickly and quietly stuff the bag into my sister’s bag of FunYuns. She’ll find out soon enough.
Cautiously, I take a sip. It burns my tongue and lips something fierce, but the taste is so good. With another, longer sip, and I’m instantly gone from the comfort of my living room. Some how, I’ve entered another world, another time. I don’t know where I am, but I know what it looks like. Often, I’ve been here, after a long, warm sip of my tea. It’s a forest, lush and beautiful, and it is autumn. The leaves are vibrant colors, all golden and red. I am sitting on an old, fallen log, my trusty Eeyore cup in hand. About me, nature erupts.
To the far right, a small family of squirrels chatters endlessly. The mama, a weary looking creature, seems to be chastising her young for some game they were playing. With a giggle, I look to the left, to find the most magnificent deer I’ve ever seen. His antlers are large and brilliantly spiked, and his size is beyond those that I have seen in my yard. He nods my way, towards the cup of tea, and I look down inside. It swirls about in the mug, sending up that tantalizing aroma, and I close my eyes.
Quickly, however, I open them again. In front of me is a raven of the blackest of blacks. His wise stance is admirable, his proud head tilted towards me. “Why hello there,” I say, but he never does get to hear me. The laundry buzzer sounds, and I am brought back to my couch in my living room, with chores to do. With a sigh, I place the mug back on the coaster, and go to switch the laundry loads and fold what is dry. Maybe soon, I will revisit the tea world from which I was taken. Yes, maybe soon.

the eeyore mug. a tea log of sorts
I usually do stick to certain favorites, but occasionally I splurge and go for a new kind of tea. This little log will let y'all know what teas I've had and what I thought of them. :3
Teas I've Tried:
English Breakfast ~ The first hot tea I ever tried. I drink it plain now, but I used to mix it with a little splash of lemon juice. It's not my most deffinite favorite, but it's a great way to wake up on those super slow mornings.
Green Tea ~ I rarely drink straight up green. Usually, it's either green with chamommile, green with honey or green with lemon. :3 All three of these are by far my favorites of all teas. I like the mild flavor and I find it to be very relaxing. :]
Orange Blossom Green ~ My first ever loose tea. I'm a huge fan of citrus and green tea, so this was absolutely awesome. Totally enjoyed it. 8]
Teas I'd Like to Try:
~Any of those blooming teas. :3 They look absolutely awesome, and I'm assuming they taste delicious. ~Cranerry Orange. Sounds like a liquid sweet-tart! ~Red Raspberry Leave. I love raspberries, so it should work out. :3 ~Alishan Oolong. :3 I have to see just how good my tea spirit tastes! ~Catnip tea. I didn't actually know this existed until a few days ago.
