Strictly cannon-wise, it's pretty widely known that even the creator of the show is pro-ShikaTemari. In crack-pairing terms then I like him in about 5 different pairings, NejiShika and ShikaKiba especially 3nodding

I think that the best person for Shikamaru by far has to be Kiba. It is just.... so smexay! ShikaKiba is one of my favorite pairings. 3nodding

I'm so pro ShikamaruxTemari that I have a very hard time thinking of him with anyone else, and he's probably the only character I can say that about. sweatdrop Everytime I see them anywhere near each other, I absolutely freak out and squeal like a twelve year old fangirl on PCP. sweatdrop
I don't mind the idea of him with Naruto, for some reason, or Kiba is alright too, just because I think it would be cute.
And I loathe the idea of him with Ino. I sorta want Ino with Choji. 3nodding Also, she's evil. stare

I take back what I said. While ShikaxTemari is still my favourite pairing, I've recently grown fond of ShikaxKiba.
However, it's still never going to happen. If it does, you can all be witness, I will invite a hive of wasps to nest in my throat, followed by pay to receive a hydrochloric acid facial, and round out the day by seeing a Jr. High School production of Cats.

I will officially state this. There are no good Shikamaru yaoi pairings...the only one that makes sense storywise and agewise is ChoShika, and that is just...weird. I hate Sensei-Student pairings, so AsuShika is right out. And any other guy you could possibly pair him with doesn't even really make sense! So sadly, Shika-kun does not have any good yaoi pairings....
